So, I mean, Wade’s numbers have been dipping a bit as he gets older, and honestly, he was frequently landing under this mark last year too, so I’m expecting a similar vibe this season. Plus, LeBron is basically at his absolute peak right now, and with guys like Chalmers, Bosh, Allen, and Lewis on the roster, they aren't exactly going to demand that Wade goes absolutely nuclear just to secure a win. Then you've got Boston, who are pretty stout in the paint, which might make it a bit tougher for Wade to drive hard to the rim. He hit the under in the preseason too, though I guess that doesn't tell us much, but hey, it's another little reason to feel good about this play.

I guess I agree with stormyseal9 regarding the attempt at an "upset" pick for Cleveland.

Honestly, I think Boston's got a real shot today. They’re five times more motivated than the home team—partly because of last year's loss and partly because they're still reeling from losing Allen. Luck's been on their side with injuries so far, and even though their preseason looked a little shaky (just like Miami's), their bench depth is legit. For me, taking Boston over 89.5 feels like the smartest play here.

Personally, I think Washington is a much better squad than Cleveland—you could probably take them for the spread. I'm not sure where the line is sitting right now, but if they aren't getting the points, at least look for the moneyline.
That said, it’s the season opener. You have to see how everyone is breathing out there before you jump in.

If you head over to the offshore books, you either won't find these specific markets at all, or the player selection is incredibly thin. It might be because we’re still early in the season and they’re waiting to see how everyone settles in before committing to deeper rosters.
Take Pinnacle, for example; their margins are decent, but they’re mostly just catering to the Miami-Boston matchups.

They have an extensive selection for the NBA. There are so many player props available. You could even wager on a specific combination, like total points plus rebounds, or maybe points and assists...

It’s not bad. I actually dig this setup where you can stack total points, assists, and rebounds all at once, but right now it’s strictly limited to players from the Heat and Celtics matchups. They might roll out some options for the Lakers later on, though I wouldn't hold my breath.

Honestly, I’m pretty much itching to get in on this action myself too.

Regarding those SPAT parlays, I’d throw in an over on Gasol for 17.5 points at +100 odds. With Dirk and Komani out, the Mavs look weak inside tonight. Kobe probably won't see much floor time either, and while Dwight brings the defense, he isn't much of a scorer—plus, Nash isn't exactly a sharpshooter.
