Which PSU should I buy? in Desktops ·
Nah, it’ll just do whatever it wants anyway. 😁

I’m no electrician, but something about this smells fishy to me. xD
As for those wires, you're probably looking at maybe four or five total cables that you just have to jam in there. You can always jot down which wire came from where on a piece of paper—that’s exactly how I handled it the first time I 😁

The power supply from crimsonstag84 is superior—stronger and higher quality. Don't just stare at the wattage they slapped on the label; they could claim it's 1000W when it actually pulls 100.

Using two extension cords shouldn't be an issue, but what you said last really worries me. How on earth do you think current just "clings" to the wires?

As for installing it, it’s easily the simplest part of building a PC. You just unplug every single connector from the motherboard, the CPU, the hard drive, and whatever else you have hooked up. Then you unscrew the old unit, pull it out, slide the new one in, screw it back down, and plug all the cables back in exactly how the old one was configured.

You won't need a beefier power supply, and as for an SSD, just grab this one

I’d definitely go with the GTX 295. It's just as powerful as the GTX 480—maybe even better—and $233 cheaper

The processor simply doesn't have the raw horsepower required to process the massive amount of data being pushed by the GPU. In other words, you aren't going to be able to tap into 100% of that graphics card's potential.
Overclocking (Main Thread) in Desktops ·
I thought I'd drop by to share some quick praise for my MSI GTX 560 Ti. I've been playing around with the clocks, bumping them up from 880/1760/2100 to 950/1900/2250, which means it’s actually outperforming the Hawk model now. 😛 .

Idle temperatures haven't budged at all, staying right between 32-35°C. Even under a heavy load, it doesn't climb past 60°C. Honestly, that caught me off guard. I was expecting at least a 3-degree jump, but I suppose that’s what happens when you use a Twin Frozr cooler—in my opinion, it's hands down the best on the market.

The fan speeds haven't changed either. Even during intense gaming sessions, they remain virtually silent, just like before.

As for the FPS, it really depends on the specific game. Where I used to get 50, I’m seeing 55 now, and where it was 150, it’s hitting 170 😁.

Bottom line? If you're looking to pick up a card, do yourself a favor and make sure it comes with that Twin Frozr cooling setup.
Caps Lock issues on my Logitech keyboard in Computer Peripherals ·
The issue here is that this keyboard doesn't even have indicator lights to show if Num, Caps Lock, or Scroll lock is active. I honestly don't know what kind of answer you're looking for from us at this point.🤷

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of budget are we looking at here?

Just grab a motherboard that actually supports SLI, then pair it with two of these It’ll end up being cheaper than buying that single GTX 580, and you're looking at 30% more performance in games. Why settle for less?

You probably saw that VaporX version with the different cooling setup, but at its core, it's the exact same card.

This Radeon HD 6970 might actually be the best option available at that shop for under 155 miles

That power supply you're using is pretty bottom-shelf, though. Let's just hope it doesn't blow up on you.

I'd go with the 6970 for 155 miles 😉

If you can actually trust that power supply to hit those 570W, then fine.🤣 But if it ends up being like my old budget speakers, it's going to be a disaster.😂

Go ahead and grab it. It’s maybe 3025 miles more expensive than what we pay here in the States, but if that's the absolute cheapest option on the market, then just take it.

The GTX 470 is basically on par with a GTX 560 Ti—actually, it's probably even weaker than that. I really have my doubts about whether it can even run Battlefield 3 on max settings without constant stuttering. But hey, at least this beauty looks good. CLICK

It's weaker than the AMD Radeon HD 3850..
PC Cases in Computer Peripherals ·
I’d go with the Xigmatek Asgard over the Thermaltake V4, which is basically just a dust magnet. You should probably ask Rebbit about it. 😬
Personally, I would pick the NZXT Black Metal edition. It’s wider, so you actually have room for a tall CPU cooler, and since it’s larger than those other cases, you’re going to get much better airflow.

He asked if it could run everything on high settings. I told him the truth: it can't. When I said cry2, I meant Crysis 2, and now that I think about it, GTA IV too. 😛
I never said the graphics were bad, nor did I mention anything about the warranty. MSI is an excellent company, and I absolutely love their warranty service, though I don't need to use it. I have a 560 Ti TF2 myself. 😍
But look, he should just take that card and accept the reality: there are three games he won't be able to play on high details! He'll be stuck on low to medium. 🙂

I was actually referring to Metro and Crysis 2 😛
