I’ve been running that Seasonic 520W GB unit—non-modular version—for about four months now, and I can tell you firsthand: it stays dead silent. Not a peep. :P As for XFX, you might want to check in with someone who uses them exclusively, but my gut tells me they're just as solid. Since they’re built on Seasonic architecture, how could it possibly be bad?
Look, you can handle all of that using MSI Afterburner. There are other programs out there, sure, but if you ask me, that's the easiest one to navigate. Just a fair warning though: don't expect any massive jumps in your FPS.
Joshua Garcia3 said:Just wanted to give an update. It looks like our buddy actually listened to advice and went to IQ-Zagria to pick up a graphics card. He skipped the COOLER master elita Power plus 500 w and opted for the OCZ SteealthXStream 2, 500W instead.
Finally, they actually fixed their website. About time, right? 👍
Let us know when that gear you ordered shows up. We need to know if this webshop is actually legit or just a waste of time.
I honestly can’t believe it. They’re asking at least $1,100 for an HD6850—and that’s just the XFX model running at stock settings. Meanwhile, you’ve got this MSI OC version of the GTX 460 sitting right there. It’s cheaper, and it absolutely crushes a standard HD6850. How does that even make sense?
Well, my speakers finally arrived. They're here. I just wanted to check in and drop a few thoughts regarding the Z323 2.1 system. The sound quality is remarkably superior compared to my old $33 setup (it certainly isn't an upgrade in the wrong direction, is it? 😛). I haven't even dared to push them to their limits yet; I haven't touched the max or min settings. The subwoofer is unexpectedly powerful. To be honest, I actually got a little startled when I cranked it up—the bass hits you right in the chest. It felt like being at a live concert! In short, the audio is extremely high-quality and incredibly loud. Truthfully, I have no idea what else constitutes a technical review. This is my first time ever doing this, so I’m just rambling about what I like. xD After using them for a few weeks now, I have zero complaints. In fact, I've hosted two parties where the whole house was practically vibrating. That’s about it!
stormywolf39 said:You did the exact opposite of what you were supposed to do. You wipe the drivers first, and then you swap out the graphics card. Simple enough, right? Why make it complicated?
Well, look, just boot it up in Safe Mode and run Driver Sweeper to wipe both drivers clean. Once that's done, give it a restart and see what happens. If it’s still a complete disaster? Well, you can always just reinstall Windows. 😬
I reinstalled the Nvidia drivers and now everything is running fine, but I still can't for the life of me get rid of those old ATI drivers. Is it possible they won't delete because it's an integrated chip? Could that be the reason?
I need help, and I need it fast! Yesterday, I swapped in my 560 Ti TwinFrozr and installed the official drivers from Nvidia. Everything seemed fine until today, when I decided to scrub those old ATI drivers that were hanging around from my integrated graphics. I used Driver Cleaner Pro to make sure they were totally gone. But now? Now that I’ve rebooted, the Nvidia drivers are claiming there's no graphics card detected, yet the ATI Catalyst Control Center is back like nothing ever happened. How is that even possible?
http://www.amazon.com/product_info.php?c...oducts_id=9743 At that price point? I’d grab this card in a heartbeat. It comes with a three-year warranty, runs incredibly quiet, and the cooling is top-notch. Plus, if you overclock it properly, it performs right up there with an HD6870. That’s the one I’d go for. http://www.guru3d.com/article/msi-ra...ower-review/21
You won't even notice the difference, but that's because it's a top-tier monitor. Just look at the one from $3333—it's got an 8 ms response time dellic. Meanwhile, the one from $167 claims a 6 ms response time dellic 2 xD
I’d personally go with the MSI GTX 560. It's only a few measly FPS slower—hardly something you'd even notice while playing—but in exchange, you get a card that actually stays quiet and doesn't run hot. Why deal with the heat?
There exists this thing called the internet, and an even better companion to that INTERNET is Google!
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=gigabyte+M68M-S2P&l=1 If you actually bother to look at the specifications, you'll see what's included and what isn't. In short, your ASUS Motherboard has a PCI-e slot—the long one used for the graphics card.
It’s not just about the VRAM and the core clock, you know. There are at least a hundred different graph functions to consider. http://www.hwcompare.com/9691/geforc...ce-gtx-550-ti/
It’s a real shame. I was really eyeing those Z-523s, but they’re completely sold out everywhere. Honestly, I don't have any interest in buying anything else. I already picked up the GTX560ti Hawk to go along with them, so pairing it $723 with this Z323 2.1 makes sense—plus, I don't have to deal with shipping costs =) . If I had to pay for delivery, it would $67 cost way too much and put me way over my budget .
