Double chin issues in Health ·
Edward Mitchell said:Nah, I wouldn't say I'm super self-conscious about my body or anything... I mean, I am who I am, and I know that double chin is probably just gonna keep growing as I get older anyway... plus, I definitely don't feel like people are watching me... if you're feeling that way, it might just be a bit of paranoia, I guess...

Has anyone ever actually walked up to you and been like, "Whoa, dude, look at that chin"?... Probably not... It’s just genetics, really... it's something you're born with, and your body is just gonna keep doing its thing...

But hey, like someone else mentioned in here, maybe try working out? Though, honestly, it might not even help that specific spot... I'm pretty active with sports, but my buddy still has his, and we hang out all the time just like we always have 😉

Just relax and try not to let it get to you too much...

The whole reason I'm reaching out is to tell you that I'm perfectly fine with it. There isn't some magic exercise that's going to tighten up the platysma muscle. If anything, I just end up looking a bit like a frog. 🙄

Edward Mitchell said:Man, I’ve got three different bank accounts going now and things are finally starting to look decent... even if I am kind of a scrawny guy 🙂 and honestly, it kinda stings a bit... 🙂 he's my buddy 😁

I don't suppose you have this feeling that people are staring at you like you're some kind of frog, or even worse, a pelican 😉. Personally, I find it absolutely mortifying and I'm desperate to find a way out of it. So, besides jumping straight into surgery, is there really anything else out there?

Is there really nobody else here dealing with issues regarding chin fat? I would truly appreciate it if anyone could share some insight or advice if you have any experience with this at all.

Now that I’ve hit my late thirties, I’ve noticed my double chin is looking more prominent than ever before. While I’m pretty sure it’s just part of my genetic makeup—something I’ve dealt with almost my entire life—I can't help but wonder if microdermabrasion actually does anything for it. If that isn't the right path, what else is out there? Fortunately, my BMI is staying within a healthy range, though I honestly don't know where I'd be without 🤣. I would truly appreciate any advice or suggestions you all might have...
I’ve been reflecting lately on whether inflammation itself isn't actually just our body's way of tackling an underlying issue. If we jump in to suppress inflammation immediately, aren't we essentially getting in the way of our own natural healing processes? I find myself wondering if my line of reasoning holds any water here. Personally, I’m leaning toward the idea that simply eliminating inflammation might not be the ultimate solution—or perhaps it is, but in a different way. My thought is that by managing inflammation, we might actually be clearing the path for the body to focus its energy on healing more efficiently.

What are your thoughts on this perspective?

For instance, consider an athlete who pops some Aspirin to deal with muscle soreness. While it might help manage the lactic acid buildup in the muscle, I can't help but wonder how long they can keep doing that before it becomes counterproductive. I worry that by masking those signals, they might inadvertently put themselves at risk for something more serious, like a muscle tear or a similar injury.
Scott Allen10, would you mind if I sent you a private message?
I was wondering if anyone here might have some insight into what truly helps cleanse those specific areas of the body. I know people constantly rave about how great mucus is for the lungs, but if you ask me, its thick, slimy nature just ends up feeding the very irritation we’re trying to soothe. I'm looking for something that actually purges and cleanses—something akin to using Epsom salts for the digestive tract.

Does anyone know if there's an equivalent remedy for the solar plexus and the gut area?!?
I’m going to go ahead and open up this discussion thread, primarily because it feels like so many of our ailments are deeply rooted in psychosomatic issues. I would truly love it if everyone here could share their specific experiences regarding treatment—and more importantly, any instances where you feel you've actually achieved healing. !!!!

As for my own situation, I’m fairly certain my high blood pressure is a direct result of stress. For the time being, I’m trying to manage it by embracing a much slower pace of life and dedicating some serious time to meditation.
