Tights, stockings... in Fashion ·
I’d probably go with either 3/4 of the thin ones or the thick L size.

Eda, if you're looking for those basic ones 😁—you know, plain black, no patterns, nothing fancy—there's a vendor at the Marketplace on the bench between the scales near the station and the scales used for unloading. I think there might even be better options further up, right across from the Real Estate office, at the very start of the row of stalls once you cross the street by the Garden and keep going along the walkway instead of heading toward the park. Hopefully, that wasn't too much of a rambling explanation. 😁 Personally, I don't care for them because they feel somewhat stiff; I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'm pretty sure they're cheaper than what you'd find at Victoria's Secret... Just a heads-up though, there's a sale happening, so you should hurry if you want to check them out. I was over at CC1 earlier and managed to pick up 8 pairs for about 300 bucks. 🙂 I haven't been to the outlet yet, and apparently, you can find decent stuff there too, but it's always a gamble with larger sizes since everyone snaps them up first. :-P

@Peter Cooper5: If by tights you mean pantyhose (I’ll never get used to these different terms 😁), I highly recommend Victoria's Secret and their 3/4 length ones. I'm over 5'8" and don't exactly consider myself the height of elegance 😁, but everything fits perfectly 🙂

Plus, if you buy them now, they aren't nearly as pricey since there's a sale going on 😉.

Are they actually being serious right now? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UBR5...ayer_embedded#!
AIC dropped their announcement so late that by the time I actually looked, the early bird pricing had already vanished. Honestly, at those prices, I wasn't about to get fleeced just to catch them.

On another note, this is the first Coachella lineup in two years that’s actually caught my eye. I’m pretty much over the whole Cave hype anyway; I’d honestly rather just see him $100 solo.
Concert Bucket List in Music ·
1) PJ Harvey
(I’ll probably just blow my entire monthly paycheck on that Ferrari ticket, seeing as my lady friend from somewhere even further east than Vienna has never actually bothered to visit...)

2) The Cure
(Now that’s a much tougher call, especially since their only show is out on some British island)

3) Shellac
(That one speaks for itself)

4) Grinderman
(I haven't been able to shake the feeling since Križanka, so I think I’ll follow them if they play within a 300-mile radius; yeah, I'm even considering heading toward Novi Sad... 🤦)

5) Sonic Youth
(I could honestly go see them every single week; as soon as I step foot in Europe, I'm there 😁)

6) Einsturzende Neubauten
(In the same vein as the ones above... I looked into Munich, but man, everything is so expensive lately with this recession and all that...)

7) Bat for Lashes
(If they just get a little closer to home, that's all I ask... I'd absolutely love to hear them live; if someone could just think to bring them to a summer festival here in the US, it would be amazingggg)

8) The Breeders
(A loooooooooooong shot)

9) Pearl Jam
(Something always seems to get in the way whenever I plan to go 😢 )

10) Viva Gloria
(Everyone else seemed to hate on them, but I think they're incredible. Honestly, they're right up there with Gang of Four for me. Man, I could listen to them over and over... though I'm afraid I won't catch them anytime soon)
High schoolers and college students—regardless of which network you're on—can snag tickets for just $97 during the promo period, running until April 14th, 2011, or whenever they sell out. Tickets are limited. High school kids can get them for $97 by showing their ID and a school enrollment verification, while students need to flash their ID along with an x-ice, university transcript, or a valid student ID.

Just a heads-up: over at the T-Center in Indianapolis, they completely stiffed a high schooler who actually had his school verification. Their "helpful" advice? Just find a college student to buy it for you instead. 🙄
Larry Morales12 said:Has anyone actually picked up a ticket using a student discount yet? I’m wondering if they actually bother to verify your status at the gate. Like, if you just show them a fake ID, will they call your bluff?

My main concern is whether you have to prove you're still in high school right at the entrance—basically, do the discounted tickets look any different from the standard ones?

Thanks, 🙂
Tyler Howard46 said:@ Jamie Ramos10 - you weren't actually losing your mind at Nirvana - Madison Square Garden 10.06.2010., you were tucked away in some VIP section or corner of the venue, so you're just talking nonsense.

Sorry if I happen to be an independent soul who doesn't require external validation to experience a moment of pure catharsis.😂

Besides, I ran into some guy who was standing off to the side, and he mentioned that since they were closer to the entrance, there was more air circulation, which kept the crowd more energized and ready to move.😳

I didn't get the impression that there was a massive crowd of well-dressed people there; honestly, the only thing I even noticed was one guy wearing a House of Lies T-shirt, which was the only highlight for me.😁
I honestly don't know what you all were doing—two girls were jumping all over me, while the guys stayed pretty much stationary, which I actually appreciated since nobody tried to spill beer on me. 😁 I was dancing as much as my energy allowed, considering I was stuck taking an exam earlier 236 miles this morning.

I am still absolutely buzzing; I can hardly believe I actually saw them live. They played almost every single song I love, and honestly, I wouldn't change a thing about the night. I've been grinning since last night, and every few minutes I catch myself thinking about that manic look in 😍

Got the commemorative concert T-shirt, as usual 😍

Any New Yorker who thinks this concert wasn't up to their standards should probably just pack up and move to some other city for a few months. It would be good for them to actually experience what a truly terrible show looks like, or what a pathetic crowd feels like, instead of throwing those terms around so loosely. 👍
Depressing American artists in Music ·

The first two albums.

I don't follow. What exactly are you getting at? Honey-colored eyes.

Trobecov’s wood-fired ovens.
It’s a bit of a shame, really—they haven't exactly built up a massive discography yet.

There’s a young band out there right now that is showing some serious, undeniable potential. They have that raw spark you just can't teach. Carefully grilling.

Take a look at the band in my signature too. 👍

By the way, those bands mentioned above aren't exactly "depressing" in the sense that Bob Dylan is—but then again, they aren't exactly old-school classics either. 🤣
