Concert Bucket List

We’ve already got threads about the shows we actually attended, and others for those gigs we missed—which, let's face it, mostly just triggers this wave of nostalgia, misery, and pure regret since most of those bands don't even exist anymore.

So, I'd much rather talk about the bands we're actually dying to see live, assuming it's even possible in the near or distant future. Maybe it's acts we missed out on before, or maybe they were just so incredible that we're itching to experience them all over again.
Maybe we can even swap useful info here about who's playing nearby. Or, you know, find some kindred spirits who dig those more obscure bands and might actually be down to road trip together to some cool destination over in Europe.

Alright, let me start listing what I’m dying to see.

Mogwai - they've been stuck in my head lately, and they're touring Europe right now. They'll be hitting Berlin, Vienna, and Milan soon. I haven't actually caught them live yet, but man, I really want to.

In Extremo - I saw them about 10 years ago at a local factory venue, and from what I can tell, their outdoor shows are killer, especially those ones at old fortresses and castles. They've got a tour through Germany in clubs this spring, then more outdoor gigs come summer.

Kyuss - I heard Garcia at Harter last year and was totally blown away. Kyuss is wandering around Europe this spring.

Siddharta - they're playing in Ljubljana this June. Still haven't experienced them live.

Schandmaul - I've missed out on them a few times already, but they have two shows in Berlin—one on March 11th and an outdoor one at Lollapalooza in June.

There's more, obviously, but I guess I'll try to be modest with my wishes for now, so I can hear some of your ideas too. And I'd love to hear comments on any of these bands from anyone who's seen them live or even just loves their studio stuff. 😁

Bon Jovi is playing this year, and honestly, they're easily the best live band on the planet right now. They'll be at Yankee Stadium on June 8th.

I'm so glad you asked! I actually went ahead and double-checked everything—I just had to make sure—and according to Last.fm, there's a concert happening at Ferrari on July 6th. Hmm, interesting... what do you think? 🤔
(Honestly, everything was probably sold out ages ago—and even if it wasn't, we aren't even close!)

I haven't had a chance to go through this second list too closely yet—my bad!—but from what I can gather, it looks like most of these bands barely tour at all. I mean, there aren't any shows on the horizon, at least nothing anywhere near us... unless you count deus, assuming they decide to swing by somewhere near Slovakia! 😁)

Oh man, I would absolutely love to catch Air or Kings of Convenience live—seriously, they're both so incredible! But wouldn't you know it? They don't have any shows on the calendar at all this year... what a bummer, right? So, get this—I had the wildest dream the other night! I dreamed that Kings of Convenience were just playing a surprise set at Harter... like, totally unannounced! Can you imagine? Everyone just absolutely lost it and started sprinting toward the stage—it was total chaos, just a complete mad dash! 🤣

As far as those desert vibes go—hey, what if we suggested Alcatraz as a potential location? Hmm, wouldn't that be something? 🤔 😉

Man, those Đurđevac sands! 😁

I bet there’s gotta be some footage floating around from their live shows out there—the kind of stuff that would be totally worth watching, even if it absolutely kills me with desire! :)

Man, I’d love to sit down and catch all of that right now—really, I would!—but honestly? My bank account is looking a little thin at the moment... just not quite there yet!

Explosions in the Sky—there is simply something about their ability to build tension through sheer, atmospheric layering that stays with you long after the final note fades. It’s less about traditional songwriting and more about an emotional architecture—a slow, deliberate construction of sound that feels both massive and incredibly intimate at the same time.

I don't really have anything specific on my radar for shows right now. 🤷 If I had to pick, though, I’d jump at the chance to see Black Mountain if they ever toured this way—and honestly, seeing Six Org again would be pretty killer too. 🙂

Man, you’re actually organized when it comes to this stuff. I'm the complete opposite—I always wait until the absolute last second to grab tickets. I mean, life happens, right? I never know if something's gonna pop up at the last minute and screw my plans. Plus, if it's one of those club shows where everyone's standing and it's totally sold out, the crowd gets so brutal I feel like I might actually pass out. And if it's an outdoor show? I can't decide if I should go until I see if it's gonna pour rain on me.
Unless it's a band that really matters to me, then I guess I'd go through hell and back just to be there. 😁

(I haven't been able to shake the feeling since Križanka, so I think I’ll follow them if they play within a 300-mile radius; yeah, I'm even considering heading toward Novi Sad... 🤦)

(I could honestly go see them every single week; as soon as I step foot in Europe, I'm there 😁)

(In the same vein as the ones above... I looked into Munich, but man, everything is so expensive lately with this recession and all that...)
