Every single time I watch the onboard and hear that engine noise, I’m convinced the guy just wants to quit because of a breakdown.

When track and air temperatures are low—especially when you throw high humidity into the mix—the surface is going to take its sweet time drying out. Regardless of any hills or inclines.
