As a novice, this is all a bit overwhelming—some come with wall adapters, others use rechargeable batteries; then there's the technical clutter like frequency ranges in Hz, current in mA, pulse width in microseconds, waveform types, soft start functions, auto-shutoff, and the ongoing cost of replacement pads.

I've noticed that price doesn't seem to correlate directly with the number of channels—some 2-channel units cost the same as 6-channel ones. Additionally, the terminology is quite confusing; some devices are labeled specifically for pain relief, others as stimulators, and some simply as massagers.
