Has anyone ever received a package sent via standard mail from the US? All I have is a tracking number starting with #LC, but it doesn’t show any updates. I’ve had this happen about four times before, and it usually arrives within 10 or 11 days. Now it's been 13 days and nothing, so I'm starting to get a little anxious. Do these kinds of packages go missing often? Is it possible it's just stuck at Customs?
Dennis Allen10 said:I am right there with you. I’ve practically done laps around every shop in town trying to find something that actually fits. I finally just gave in and grabbed something from Marks & Spencer, but honestly, even the "plus size" stuff at Target was a bust. And don't even get me started on Kohl's... they have absolutely nothing left.
My only hope is Target. 😁 There’s a small shop near me that carries their stuff, but they’re totally out right now. Does anyone know what the situation is like in Miami? That’s really the only place I could go to find something.

I can't do that... I need everything to be just right, otherwise, I’ll honestly lose my mind.😁 🙄
Where do you guys shop for swimwear? There’s absolutely nothing in my town that can handle my curves, and honestly, it’s driving me crazy. I won't even go to the beach because of it.
Where do you guys shop for jeans, leggings, or whatever online? (I’m mostly looking for things like jeggings). I'm a size 112 in the hips, so I honestly have no clue what size to grab—it feels like everything depends on the cut and the fabric. I really love that super tight fit. I was browsing the MANGO site earlier and they have some cute stuff. Does anyone know how long shipping usually takes, and can I actually return them if they don't fit right?
I usually wear an XL, but I'm wondering if an L might work. Sometimes the smaller sizes at H&M actually fit me better, almost like their cuts run large. :/
Nicholas Fox9 said:Those little fairies look lovely, and I’m particularly drawn to the kimono. I can't quite tell—did you pick that up at Macy's too? If so, what was the damage? 🙂
Kimono is from New York! $40As for me, I’m just sticking with a plain white T-shirt.
I was in Manhattan yesterday checking out some shops. Around my area in the city, I can't find any micro bikinis, just standard two-piece sets (which are actually great), but my boobs just won't fit into them, haha. In Manhattan, the bikini tops were beautiful—they run small too. If you’re someone with a smaller bust than a D or E cup, they might work, but the cups are shallow and the back straps are pretty wide. I did manage to find exactly one top in New York that actually fits! It isn't too tight, it feels high quality, but my chest looks so prominent in it that I feel like everyone would be staring at me. There are other styles that make me look a bit more modest, so I think I'll stick to those... I also picked up two shirts and a kimono, which I’ve been hunting for here for a while. I bought one (the one from Manhattan), but skipped the other because it was too short for my taste. I'll probably just layer it over a longer white camisole. I absolutely love the kimono; it covers my backside better than I expected, and it hangs much nicer than it did in the photos. The kimono is an XS-S, and since I usually wear an XL (or XX-XL in jeans due to my curves, so I can't really squeeze into smaller sizes), seeing that they also carry M-L means these cuts are seriously oversized. The patterned shirt from NY is an XL, and this white one from Manhattan is an XXL. The fabric is amazing, and it actually makes me look a bit slimmer.😁 Just $17 was there. Honestly, Manhattan surprised me with the selection; ever since that New Yorker opened up around here, I haven't even bothered going elsewhere.View on imgur Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is looking for something similar!
Lisa Myers said:I spotted a tankini over at Takkou too.
Honey, did you actually end up buying that tankini somewhere?! 😬
Are you asking me? I haven't found it yet, still hunting for something similar, though I doubt I'll strike gold. 😁 😢 http://images.bloomingdales.com/is/i...0.5,0&fmt=jpeg
I'm heading over to the Takko in Manhattan in a few days to browse since I don't have much else going on there... I'm also constantly checking Lisa's page; she's definitely my most trusted source. 😁
Yesterday I spotted a gorgeous bikini top at Macy's, but it was way too small for me—it would be perfect for an 85C/D.
I don't have that Kik app or whatever (Kik, Kiko, Kika???) and I've honestly never even been there 😁 Plus, all I ever hear about it is good stuff... I didn't see anything at Walmart, though I wouldn't have looked anyway. It never really crossed my mind since I can walk through three different malls and still not find a decent bra for my chest -.- I'm actually really picky about that; everything needs to be super supportive, nothing loose 🤣
I am definitely not feeling this one from Walmart; I really wouldn't wear that, haha 😁 The top is okay-ish, but maybe on someone else, just not me... Thanks for the photos 🙂 If you happen to head to Kik and if you can, please snap a picture of any tankinis 😁
I just found another one on ASOS. It isn't anything special, but it's a classic black and a decent model http://www.asos.com/ASOS-Curve/ASOS-...rt=3&clr=Black
Where do you guys pick up your swimsuits? I’ve been struggling with this for years... I had this one Reebok suit that lasted me three seasons, though I didn't even get to wear it last year. Now it’s too small and honestly just seen better days. I’d love a tankini, but nothing too tight—something more along the lines of http://www.asos.com/Freya/Freya-Spir...rt=3&clr=Black . Any idea where I can find something like that? Also, http://www.asos.com/Miraclesuit/Mira...rt=3&clr=Black is absolutely stunning, but man, it is pricy!😁
I don't think it's actually expensive, unless you're shopping at a store that runs frequent sales—in which case, just wait for a discount 😁 And honestly, it’s not a "problem" for me to see a dress on a curvy person, but there's no way I could pull it off myself (maybe for a night out, but definitely not these daytime ones; probably because even when I was at my "normal" weight, I never really wore dresses)
Same here, I deal with the exact same issue. Back when I was only 110 lbs, every single pair of pants I owned would split right at the crotch within six months. Now, I basically live in leggings. Even then, my leggings usually wear thin and tear after about four months, unless it's a specific type of trousers. Some pairs actually last me over a year and a half, though—I honestly have no clue what the difference is. 🤣
Hahaha, Lisa Myers, if that were actually true! Maybe it looks a bit off in that photo because I posed with my leg forward, but wait until I post one where I'm just standing normally 🤣 🙄 View on imgur
Also, does anyone know where the plus-size section is in the H&M at WestGate? I've been there a few times and just couldn't find it...
Yeah, I’m super short, definitely under 5'3'' 🤣 And yeah, I'm curvy. It's not just me noticing it either; everyone else sees it too. I was looking at a video from four years ago today—back then I was a size Medium, and I could actually fit into a Small (I've always had wider hips and a larger bust regardless of my weight). Regarding that dress 5rich I just can't bring myself to wear something that isn't my style, even if it did look good 😁 Plus, it probably wouldn't even flatter me because it would make my chest look even bigger, and I'm wearing a D/E cup 😢 I also don't emphasize my waist because then my bust looks massive, which I'm not a fan of, and besides, it's just not my vibe 😁 Thanks for the advice though. By the way, I know a lot of plus-size girls shop at stores like Nordstrom, but I wasn't sure where to look... do they ship to us?
Bebilina wait, an XL has always been my size, how was it a Medium? 🤷
Ugh, maybe it doesn't look like it in the photo, but I'm an XL up top. Down below, I only wear boxers or those stretchy lounge pants (XL) because I haven't been able to squeeze into a nice pair of jeans for three years now. They aren't even available for me to buy! And when I head into the city, I have to go for XXXL, which looks absolutely terrible on me. 🤷 Plus, I love wearing scarves, oversized tees, and stuff like that—it’s not just about my weight. Even back when I was thinner, I dressed the same way to cover up my chest; I'm just not comfortable with showing it. 🤣 I'm still thinking about that shirt. They only got XS sizes in stock, and there are only two larger ones left, so I need to hurry before they're gone. 😁
Help, I need some advice! 😁 Usually, I stick to oversized tees, tunics, or cardigans paired with slimmer bottoms. I’m not really the makeup type—more of a "streetwear" vibe—and I always make sure to cover my chest, plus I almost always wear scarves. 🤣 But now, I found this top at Macy's that shows a bit more cleavage and has ruffles (honestly, I'm not even sure if ruffles suit me; I feel like I look like a cupcake in them!). Still, I absolutely love this shirt. The fabric is great—lightweight, breathable, and doesn't look cheap at all. 🤣 Anyway, I took a photo, but since I'm so used to looking in the mirror, I can't really judge how I actually look. What do you guys think? It isn't even expensive! 😁 View on imgur
Jerry Bailey47 said:I wouldn't call myself curvy, but I do have a larger bust, and let me tell you straight up: that first little dress is a questionable choice. I actually own one with a similar cut, and it’s a disaster because the chest area pulls the fabric so much that the waistline ends up sitting way too high—it looks totally off. Plus, when you're bustier, those specific necklines can be tricky; you'd probably be better off with a wrap style or a V-neck. 😉
Edit: By the way, Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson are stunning, obviously, but even they couldn't pull off this specific length given their height. Maybe try a pencil dress instead—something more structured than these wide ones. 🙂
That’s exactly why I’m nervous! I was thinking about just ordering a size up... 🤷
