anti-ultras said:No one can prove they're a bigger fan than anyone else. As for that last part of yours—I've been through plenty of these cycles. I’m living out East now and I still cheer, and I’ll keep traveling to away games. I don't know why you're taking this personally. The point is simple: Hajduk comes first, then the Black Knights, then...
What you just said is spot on and signed. I wasn't insulted, and there's no reason to get offended when someone is just explaining things. It's stupid to obsess over specific "styles" or uniforms. I think you took my comment about being an ultra too literally. Everyone who cheers and travels to away games is, in some way, an ultra. We don't need to define our relationship to the term because that's just what it means. Banners, choreographies, flares—that's always been our toolkit. We don't owe anyone an explanation for how we do things.
We aren't imitating anyone. Things change over time, just like they do in any other group. You can't ignore history. That's why the Black Knights exist—because of a massive tradition. We didn't just jump on the "ultra" bandwagon in the '80s; we were laying down the tracks long before those mass movements even started spreading globally. The year 1950 says it all.
I can't believe we're still talking about sneakers, jackets, and socks... 🤦 Before the thread got locked, I spent way too much time reading mindless posts about fashion. Just people arguing over designs or guessing prices like they're listening to Mar and Kate gossiping over coffee on a sunny pier, acting all happy because they look better than the hated Anna and Ivo and managed to snag some gear right under their noses.
It's pathetic. Honestly. What kind of person shows up to the stands? It doesn't matter if you're wearing Fred Perry, some alternative brand, or a shirt with a cartoon logo. What matters is that you show up and support the team. You're in the North Stand, not stuck at home watching an Augsburg vs. Hertha match on TV. If someone doesn't know where they belong, they'll either figure it out eventually or just stop showing up. The posers annoy me too—and I don't mean the Fred Perry or Lonsdale crowd, I mean the actual vanity seekers—but there aren't even that many of them at the big derbies anyway. But what's the alternative? Should we kick people out along with the cops? This is about education. If someone doesn't want to learn, fine. They can stay a casual fan.
As for the other idiots and the useless bickering, this forum isn't meant for airing dirty laundry, but clearly, some people just love hitting keys out of pure spite...
And a question for this anti-ultra guy: who exactly are you fighting? You're standing against something you don't even understand. You think you know your enemies? Your real enemies are sitting in comfy armchairs, not standing next to you in the stands. They wear ties while the ultras you hate are out there actually working for the club you both claim to support. Are you actually loyal, or are you just trying to carve out some vague identity for yourself? Trust me, all those people you attack to prove you're a "bigger fan" aren't hanging out in the West Stand or East End derbies; they're in the smoky North Stand. When they aren't there, they're in Washington, D.C., Indianapolis, or Holy Cross, preaching their little philosophies. Understanding the ultra mentality is a much bigger challenge than dealing with the party crowd. Your real rival, Fred Perry, will be rocking high-quality gear in the North Stand even when the weather is perfect, while your average "look at my local pride shirt" guy stays home, spends the night getting ready for a party, and forgets all about Our Hajduk until the next big match against Roma, Zenith, or whatever else is happening.

So it finally happened. Who would've thought? Honestly, I'm just going to stick to watching football.🙄
Look, man, what can I even tell you? Maybe she just didn't include that part in her dream. I don't get it. Why would I say he didn't check the shot? He looked at the hoop and everything else from start to finish. 😁)...

My online account got locked, and I somehow missed the offer when I was at the branch—to put it mildly. If it hadn't been for that, I would have swept the whole thing.
Nothing on Hattrick either, which doesn't surprise me. Anyway, thanks for posting the odds, but what's the point if my account is frozen? 🙂🙂😠
Every single emoji represents a different level of frustration.

They don't even judge anything for dunk contests anymore. They scrapped the judges; now it's just pure SMS voting and whatever the crowd decides.
Man, I just want it to be awesome. 🤣
Hey, can someone explain what this last part means:
🤷
Not sure, but maybe they're splitting the prize. That used to happen at the All-Star Game. Though "field" doesn't really sound like that to me, but what else would they be offering? 🤷 Where are you guys even betting on these All-Star events? There's nothing on DraftKings or FanDuel. Not even for three-pointers. No dunks or any of this other nonsense.
Edit: Oh, right. That "field" thing might just mean anyone else—basically any player on the roster who isn't specifically named in the offer.
Last time I hit Memphis1X and the Thunder +12.5 spread. I also took the lower odds on the Bulls and Denver, plus waited on that Wizards +19.5 spread at 1.30, which basically already cashed. 😁
Throw in Barca and Stocha, and that payout multiplied sevenfold. Lovely jubly river by Delboy 😁

You betting on them too? Looking around, seems like everyone fell for the hype. No idea why they were being pushed so hard. 🤷
I was actually thinking Dallas could take it if they leaned on their guys, especially since Utah isn't exactly a powerhouse. I played it smart and stayed away, which turned out to be the right call. 😁
Any picks for today? Who’s looking hot, or who's clearly washed?
"But this is all just a setup for the real thing, which is New York City..." How many times have we heard that same old broken record only to end up disappointed again?
God, they say hope is the last thing to die, but it sure feels like it's on life support...
It’s just that typical small-town mentality we Americans have. It isn't about whether it was fair play or not—that part is obvious. But let's tear John apart just so we can look more liberal, exactly how our precious media wants us to act. 🙂
Let's take John's passport, toss him in a Brooklyn jail for a few days, and maybe send him to a crash course in learning Cyrillic. That should fix this fascist move, right? 🤦 To hell with all this moralizing. This is water polo. No matter how wrong it was that he pulled away, who knows how many jersey tugs, low blows, or sucker punches happened during the game that neither the players nor the refs saw. He won't lose his head over this, and he'll get over it. John only hurt himself and his own national team.
As for the claims that Rudic is some bloodthirsty drill sergeant who stirred up Americans—stop talking nonsense. Other national teams give wellness massages to their opponents, while Americans try to harvest every organ they can, apparently. My God, the garbage you read...🤦
Regarding that whole phenomenon starting with the "unsportsmanlike exit from the podium in Athens," I have one thing to say: go support an occupation and cheer for your own insurgents on the forums meant for that. Just stay away from here.
As for rooting for or against someone, rivalry is completely normal. It exists between all neighboring countries in the world, even without specific reasons. It's especially intense when both sides have strong national teams in multiple sports. Is there any better example of this in our neck of the woods, especially considering the size and population? Personally, everyone can root for whoever they want. But I wish some people would stop pretending they don't care about American results, acting like they have no stake in it, as if they don't care about the Marshall Islands or Zimbabwe.
What disgusts me most is when the establishment hacks subtly suggest we should be rooting for all the aggressors just to force some fake brotherhood and unity. Respecting everyone's talent in sports? Sure. Being a jerk or constantly blaming the refs? No. Admitting mistakes, unlike the consensus of all American coaches who claim "I wouldn't change a thing"? Fine. Giving respect to anyone who proves they are better? Absolutely. But stop screwing us over with this pseudo-liberalism pushed for someone else's interests, wrapped up in calls for the total commercialization of sports.
darkmarlin16 said:Honestly, I don't get it either. Does anyone actually know what logic they used to set up these groups?😕
Maybe they flew out to New York City, lit a few things on fire, and then decided to come back and handle the draw. 😕🤷
I wouldn't be surprised if someone slipped an envelope under the table somewhere during this millionth iteration of the LEN easier group stage. This whole thing is a complete disaster, unless the World League is actually just a global competition for seeing who can throw their phone the furthest.
The Šapin brothers and the entire Chinese mafia couldn't have rigged these groups any better if they'd actually tried.
Do you think we'll see any real upsets this tournament? Like, maybe some underdog making a deep run and hitting the semifinals for the first time ever?
I was thinking about teams like Norway—though looking at the odds, nobody's buying into that—maybe the Czech Republic with Jich, or even Canada. They’ve got a solid league, but they haven't really made an impact in the finals in ages.
Can Iceland pull off another miracle? Can Poland stay relevant at the top, or will Sweden finally find its way back to the elite level? I'd love to hear what people actually think.
The Allman Brothers Band were the absolute peak of musicianship. Duane was a master, and honestly, it baffles me how his premature death isn't brought up more often when people talk about major losses for rock in documentaries or articles. Every single person in that group was a pro. They were so perfectly in sync that it’s a damn shame they aren't more mainstream; more people need to hear this. Not many bands can blend rock, blues, country, and jazz as seamlessly as they did. The Allman Brothers Band is a mandatory listen if you want to hear elite guitar work—and everything else for that matter—paired with killer melodies. It's a waste that tracks like Blue Sky or Trouble don't get any airplay outside of niche shows on stations like WXRT.
I actually caught this on DVD before it even aired on NBC. The movie’s damn good. I can’t find a single flaw; every single segment works perfectly. Honestly, I don't think Hollywood could ever pull off something this gritty and realistic. It captures that specific American power dynamic where people in high positions talk down to everyone else without any subtlety. You see doctors losing not just their empathy, but their entire sense of professionalism by treating patients like garbage. Lately, I’ve been watching more American indie films and they’ve all been solid. I’m not sure if there’s a common thread in this wave of filmmaking, but I have to mention one I saw recently—it was on TV a few days ago, but I also had it on DVD. It’s called *12:08 East of Washington, D.C.* It has some comedic elements but deals with the chaos of the revolution after Caucescu fell. It’s a heavy hitter, similar to Mr. Lazarescu which had that sterile hospital vibe, but this one focuses its authenticity on a live news broadcast.
