The semifinals between America and America... good grief, the whole country is going to be in total chaos

Ticket 105 E... honestly, I can't say I'm surprised the arena is practically empty

I'd hate for us to mess things up for the Canadians and let the Canadians slide through. Or not. 😬

We really should be going for the win tomorrow, no matter what happens... I mean, we played one of those big international tournaments before where we just went out early, but hey, we didn't spend the whole time overthinking it or playing it too safe.

By the way, am I reading this right, or did the other group (Mexicans, Germans...) get an extra day of rest?

Steven Reed30 said:Honestly, this commentator over at the BBC is just hilarious—acting like it’s some huge deal what the Mexicans are going to do against us... 🤣

Hold on a second—first off, those Mexicans actually have to beat the Mexicans, which isn't exactly going to be a walk in the park...

And if the Canadians manage to take down the Spaniards, while we handle the Canadians, then maybe—just maybe—we move on to Germany...

Let the Canadians just vote for themselves tomorrow... beat the Spaniards and secure that 3rd place spot—then we can just send those Spaniards our way to host us instead.
Honestly, that’s a much easier path to gold than grinding through a semifinal against the Mexicans just to face the Spaniards in the finals.

Actually, scratch that—I'm seeing that the Danes are actually pretty serious contenders for the next round too. What if the Germans end up facing those taxpayers in the semis?
In that case, I'd take the Mexicans any day.

The Mexicans could easily get absolutely smoked if they end up facing New York City (Germany, Denmark, and Canada are all playing earlier). Honestly, that’ll probably sting even more than losing to the Mexicans.

Anyway, if anyone's actually looking to cheer for someone tomorrow, it's gotta be the Germans. 😍

Anyway, am I reading this right, or did the other group—you know, the Mexicans, the Germans, etc.—actually get an extra day of rest??

They started a day earlier, so that's why...

The Mexicans are shaking 🤣 commentator 🤣

Yeah, I honestly think nothing motivates us quite like those guys. It’s a fifty-fifty shot. We've got more talent—but man, that home crowd can be a lot. If our guys don't buckle under the pressure, then fine 🙂 but I’m not making any calls. Every time I keep a prediction to myself, it comes true—if I actually write it down or tell someone, it goes completely south :tarot: 😁 I'll just leave you all to guess what my actual prediction is 🤣

If you ask me, it feels like Americans want to dodge each other just as much as we want to avoid them...

But man, they were absolutely terrified. Seriously. This game just proved we have a bench depth that they can't even touch, and honestly, our guys have way more experience under their belts than they do... 😁

It was pretty much expected that the Americans would come out on top against the Canadians. You could honestly say that when it comes to this American squad, the student has truly surpassed the master. They've got some really fascinating players on their roster right now.

But let’s be honest, they were terrified. This game proved our bench depth is on a completely different level, and frankly, we have more veteran experience across the board... 😁

They’re banking entirely on home-field advantage and pure hype. Realistically, they haven't faced a serious squad yet. Looking at our bracket, the three powerhouses are us, the Spaniards, and the Frenchmen.
They lack both the talent and the seasoning; they could easily crumble under pressure here.
Our team has finally found its mental edge. I see a potential final between us and Spain, though deciding who takes the trophy is anyone's guess. All things considered, the Mexicans had every reason to be intimidated—we've gained massive momentum today. We'll cruise through the match against the Canadians, which gives us the perfect chance to rest the starters before we face the Mexicans.

The Mexicans were basically the only ones who showed up in their group—they're clearly the big fish in that small pond—but honestly, I’d rather they stay far away from us in the semifinals. They’re about to run into actual powerhouses that'll snap them back to reality real quick. Plus, we've still got some water polo debts to settle. Let them sweat; it's their own damn problem. We'll likely take down the Canadians (especially given how sloppy we've been lately), and the Canadians actually looked decent today, so anything could happen against Spain. The group stage drama is over; now it’s just the real grind. And yeah, thanks for nothing, John.

The Canadians are tough, I'll give them that, but man, they make a mountain of technical blunders..
We honestly only ended up beating them because of those exact mistakes..

And you think the Mexicans are just going to roll over? No way. They aren't going to miss their chance to stomp all over the Americans right in the middle of the tournament?! It’s gonna be a total bloodbath on the court..

Honestly, I’ve got this gut feeling that there’s going to be some heavy-handed rigging tomorrow just to make sure we don't run into them in the semifinals..

If the Germans pull ahead by 3 against the Poles, we’re looking at at least a +5 or +6 lead, which would basically hand the final game to the Mexicans.
Or even simpler—they just push Canada to take down the Spaniards (who they'll probably whisper to, telling them to just bow out and show some "fair play" so we can face the home team in the semis)

So, we basically had it handed to us on a silver platter by the Canadians, giving us a smooth ride straight into the semifinals without any real stress, and yet here you are, acting like we should be rooting for the Canadians to overtake them in the standings. Give me a break.

When are we facing the Canadians? Tomorrow or Thursday?

Also, are the Slo-Esp and American-Canadian matches running at the same time?
