Duckett was absolutely on fire! in Other Sports ·
That 75 from Duckett was insane, he made it look so easy against the Spirit. The Rockets really pulled it off when it looked like they might slip up. Do you guys think this momentum carries them through the rest of the tournament?

So, I went ahead and got the bloodwork done for Epstein-Barr too—that came back negative—and then there was the cytomegalovirus, where they just found some elevated antibodies.

So, I just got my bloodwork back and everything looks fine—mostly. My lymph nodes are a little swollen. Specifically, there’s one in the lateral chain about 19x4mm, and then another one in the right jugular chain measuring roughly 22x6mm. On the left side, they aren't really anything to worry about, just sitting at about 11x3mm. I also went ahead and did the toxoplasmosis serology, which came back negative, and my chest X-ray was clear. Even my dental X-rays looked good too. The only "good" news, I guess, is that I saw an ENT specialist. He told me my tonsils have some pus buildup—basically chronic tonsillitis—and said I probably need them pulled. He didn't say it was an emergency or anything, but he mentioned that when you have tonsillitis, the lymph nodes above the Adam's apple tend to swell up. That makes me wonder, though... do they always stay in that specific spot, or can they show up in the middle of the neck? Because I've got another one sitting right behind my neck, too. The radiologist did tell me that according to the ultrasound, the nodes still have their normal shape, they're distinct, and they actually move around when you touch them.

Maybe you’ve got a point about that infection coming from my tonsils—that might be why my throat stays all red and irritated. I guess I'll take your advice and go get an ASO test done, then we'll just see what the doctor has to say about it. Honestly, if the ASO comes back negative, I'm probably going to push for a biopsy just to be safe.

I’ve had two biopsies done already—and yeah, I still have my tonsils.

So, I got my throat swab back and it’s negative—no bacteria or anything. I’ve got a follow-up appointment this coming Monday, and I’m probably going to be pretty blunt and suggest they just go ahead and do the biopsy.

So, they gave me two boxes of Sinacil because my lymph nodes just weren't budging—totally useless, I guess—and now I'm sitting here wondering if I should actually go through with that test. I mean, I could do it, but I'm really not sure if it's even worth the hassle, you know? If I actually have those strep bugs, wouldn't the antibiotics probably just shrink everything down anyway? What do you think... is the test even necessary at this point?

So, I'm 17. I've had this swollen lymph node for about 6 weeks now—it's pretty hard, moves around when you touch it, and sometimes it actually hurts if I press on it. It's roughly 1.5 to 2cm wide, though you can't really see it just looking straight ahead; you only notice it when I turn my neck to the left, where it sticks out maybe 3.5mm. I went ahead and did some tests—throat and nose swabs came back negative, urine culture was clear (no bacteria), Epstein-Barr was negative, and for Cytomegalovirus, they just said the antibodies were high—IgG is at 140 but IgM is negative. My sedimentation rate and full blood count are all fine. I also ran some other labs—ALT, AST, bilirubin, calcium, fibrinogen—and everything is totally normal (perfect, really). My throat has been looking red for a while too, maybe a couple of years? I don't think it used to be this red, but it doesn't hurt. I had an ultrasound done about 20 days ago, and it showed enlarged hyperplastic lymph nodes on both sides, with the right side hitting a max dimension of 15x5mm.

Has anyone else dealing with this stuff actually felt any pain in that swollen gland? I’m asking because I’ve got one that’s acting up, and honestly, I can't tell if it’s just some random inflammation or—God forbid—if it might be Lymphoma.

I mean, I've heard some pretty ridiculous stuff in my time, but this? This might actually take the cake.

What’s the deal with those swollen lymph nodes? Like, are they hard or what? Do they move around if you touch them, and does it actually hurt? Honestly, even if your blood work looks fine at first, that doesn't mean you're totally in the clear—not necessarily. If you're spiraling and freaking out that it might be lymphoma or something, you could just go to a private lab and get these specific tests done to settle your mind.
