"Seventeen thousand original posts written solely on this Amtrak subforum. That's the count."

Why do you think I posted that data? To keep it a secret? Or maybe just so someone would actually read it and know the truth?

Breaking my FBI silence. ☕
Writing on the FBI feels second nature to me. If any of the authorities decide to take notice...

The only thing they’ll actually notice is some flaw you don't even have. You can see for yourself exactly where this thread is heading.

😵

Ashley Vaughn79 said:Good grief. I wouldn’t consider them a fashion icon based on this alone. That font combination is an absolute disaster—it was nearly impossible to decipher. I had to struggle just to get through the post. 😁

I knew there wouldn't be any major failures on my end.

Look. That’s all. It’s a matter of fact. Font pairing. It’s an art, though most people treat it like a guessing game. You can't just throw two random typefaces together and hope for the best. It rarely works. There needs to be a logic to the contrast—something intentional between the header and the body text. If you lack that discipline, the whole design falls apart. Simple as that.Interesting.
Finally, all the cards are on the table.

Harold Chavez6 said:coppersailor28, why don't you try some classic forum behavior? You know, just actually staying on topic within those threads you love so much. 😁

??????

Pure simplicity. Or, more likely, people just don't bother reading the threads or other people's posts.

Quoting the moderator. The post right above yours.: "Just because."...
And I suppose, according to you, I should...
(quoting again) ...Classic forum behavior. Just sticking to the topic on the threads I actually care about."?!

Give me a break. This isn't even reality anymore.

And there he goes! @bluecyclist64 is back on the FBI subforum, padding his post count again... You're going 🙂

Harold Chavez6 said:... pointing out other people's grammar and spelling mistakes... 🙂

Whatever. For a respected colleague like bluecyclist64, this is just part of the job. Fine, it isn't official yet—but even as an unofficial candidate(from my perspective), his post count here on the FBI subforum is already
concerningly high.
But of course, (as a potential future moderator), regarding @Douglas Gray8, he is already dead wrong!

Douglas Gray8 and I have been collaborating quite successfully for a long time. Through our professional execution of original projects (like 'I Invented My Own Joke'/pdf 'Jokes', etc.), we consistently impress connoisseurs of the written word in this genre.
It follows that neither Douglas Gray8's nor my intelligence can be questioned. Besides, Douglas Gray8 said it best:
"What good is intelligence when you're surrounded by five idiots?" (incidentally, 👍 )

Enough with the off-topic chatter.

On-topic:
Yesterday, I was reviewing my private records of my own posts here on the FBI subforum, which I maintain regularly on my personal computer.
If my HP computer is to be believed (and it is one of the most reliable brands on the market), then I have nearly seventeen thousand of my own original posts just on the FBI PDF files.
Now, if the computer is lying, then I am lying too. But let's use logic:
why would a computer lie about that? It's a borderline retarded assumption...

The fact remains: exactly seventeen thousand of my own original posts ONLY on this FBI subforum,
and my username is still blue (instead of black, red, or purple)!
Who's the crazy one here? Who is messing with whom? And why... for what purpose!?

Given how much time I spend on these song contest threads, I really should have been promoted to moderator a long time ago.
What a joke of a moderator. I should have had this ages ago. olOh. In the signature.

As I stated in my previous post here. (Yes, in my post here on this forum)What’s going on here? (Right here on the forums) Keep reporting in regularly.

Larry Walker24 should have been promoted to forum owner ages ago. Of course, that depends on whether Sam Alvarez4 actually knows what she's talking about. Clearly, she doesn't—which explains why she keeps hovering around this subforum for no apparent reason.

That’s that.

Off-topic:
Give the guy a break and drop that pointless bias. If we’re going to let our singers compete, we should actually play fair. Basically, the ones whose "songs" are only fit for the Eurovision Song Contest. We’re out here embarrassing ourselves in the heart of the Western world. What kind of national damage can one forum user actually do on some obscure sub-forum dedicated to the Eurovision Song Contest?
Sam Alvarez4 said:It’s brilliant how... @wearybison63 learns from @Jeremy Johnson18: Get in on those discussion threads. It’s critical.
It doesn't matter if you actually know anything about the topic. All that matters is showing up. That’s how the board notices you. That's how you become a moderator. 😂😂

People, stop being so gullible. There’s absolutely nothing to be gained by posting here on a regular basis. 👎

So, bluecyclist64 somehow managed to climb his way up to becoming a gray eminence. As for the rest of us? There are no handouts coming.

Typing forum.com (Chrome, Google.com with English settings) yields similar results:

It looks like (Google's) translation of all results—likely because the option that works like this wasn't used:

'show only results in English'

so instead, all results are being shown
(but since the search language is set to English, non-English results are just being translated into English)

I have no idea how you 'managed' to mess it up like that...

Try using that same program (Handbrake) to cut out a small clip from the movie—maybe 15 seconds (basically, trim everything except those 15 seconds). Save it... then use that tiny clip to test out different conversion and saving settings.

In the software, try going to "File" > "Options" > "Black bars" and switching (toggling) "Delete" to "Keep" (or vice versa)...

The instructions are online. Just search for...You can't. An email is a digital transmission; a CD is physical media. Unless you plan on digitizing the files first, there is no way to "send" the disc itself through an inbox. If you want to share the content, rip the tracks or files to your computer, upload them to a cloud service like Google Drive or Dropbox, and then email the link. Otherwise, use USPS. It’s not rocket science....or something along those lines.

You can't "send" a physical disc through an email. That’s not how it works. If you mean sending the files stored on a CD, you have to rip the data to your hard drive first. Once the files are digital, you can upload them to a cloud service like Google Drive or Dropbox. From there, you just email the link. Sending raw files via email attachment only works if they are small enough to bypass provider limits. If it's a full album, don't bother with attachments. Use the cloud. It's more efficient.
Pop the CD into the drive. Then just open File Explorer from your desktop.
Open File Explorer and select the CD drive.
Grab a file from the disc. Move it to your desktop.
Open a new email. Attach that file you just copied from your desktop.

... No need for any users to be logged in, let alone 900 of them, just to inflate view counts by clicking. If the owner can see who's actually logged into a thread, he'll see what's really going on.

Maybe it's just various search engine bots (not just Google) /'bot's' updating their databases... but the number is still too high, especially since it's concentrated on a single thread. Though, it's possible Russian-language search engines are indexing that specific thread regularly if they find their particular result gets more clicks.

Or maybe it's smartest not to sweat it. Some things simply don't concern us average forum members. "Your eyes must be sparkling from noticing that. Thanks a million!", "Words can't describe how thrilled I am that you asked me this." and similar responses shouldn't always be taken at face value...

No login required.
Just clicking one of those suggested results (clicking through a 'Google search result page')
which redirects to somewhere like an American Forum/subforum/thread/post... and the total view count increments by one...
I don't personally believe that's enough to cause such a massive spike, but the possibility remains.

(As for changing the thread name—why kill the goose that lays the golden eggs if the title is actually driving the clicks?)

The title of this thread is "Blah blah/Russian language - we speak Russian! — blah"

'Russian language' and even 'we speak Russian' are likely fairly common searches on Google, which explains why this topic shows up in the results...

Between Americans and Russians, there's a combined pool of roughly 143,895,551 people. Given the era of COVID and remote schooling, demand for the term 'Russian language' could have easily spiked.

Besides, opening a page, even if just for a second, counts as a view...

Something similar might be happening with 'we speak Russian'—perhaps some nationalist Facebook group formed and they're all searching for kindred spirits...

Or maybe the view counter just malfunctioned.

Why am I having trouble installing Photoshop? in IT Support ·
You might be missing some "Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables." Usually, the installer handles the download automatically—it’ll prompt you first, obviously.

(Or perhaps you're missing a specific Microsoft .NET Framework version.)

P.S.:
To repair the “api-ms-win-crt-time-l1-1-0.dll is missing” error, put the file inside the application/game installation folder.
Alternatively, you can place the api-ms-win-crt-time-l1-1-0.dll file within the Windows system directory.

On my machine, that .dll lives here:
C:\Windows\System32\downlevel

Copy the .dll into that folder.
I don't know what your permission settings look like—when I mess around in there, it just asks me if I'm sure (I am). Done.

Better to verify the exact path the program is calling the .dll from yourself. Google:
Api-ms-win-crt-time-l1-1-0.dll location
