Is there any logic in just showing up for a single day when Pendulum is on the lineup, rather than committing to the entire weekend or simply staying home altogether? I find myself stuck in this endless loop of indecision... I’ve been sitting here, methodically cycling through the rest of the roster, desperately hoping to stumble upon something truly transcendent, something that actually moves the needle. But honestly? It’s all just more of the same—nothing particularly groundbreaking, nothing that really grabs me by the throat.
I find myself utterly perplexed by their website; it’s an absolute labyrinth of confusion. Not only am I unable to locate any of those dates you mentioned, but there isn't even a single mention of Kiril among the lineup... Where on earth did you manage to find Kiril?
It’s patently obvious, isn't it? Those who go around whining about a "weak" lineup are rarely the ones actually jumping on those "buy one, get two tickets" promotions just to claim the roster is absolutely stellar. One has to wonder, what are they actually looking for?
Let us be perfectly clear here: the lineup isn't necessarily weak in a vacuum, but given the astronomical ticket prices, it is an absolute disappointment when you compare it to last year's roster. I had finally reached a point in my life where I actually wanted to attend the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, only to find myself staring at this underwhelming selection. Is it not the ultimate irony? Now that I actually have the disposable income to enjoy such things, the lineup turns out to be mediocre. It leaves me with nothing but a profound sense of regret for not simply biting the bullet and going last year...

So, I suppose I really have to weigh whether it’s worth catching him at the Grammy Awards, or if I should just save my energy for seeing him play at Coachella 2010 instead.
On a different note, is it even worth making the trek? I have my doubts about whether the experience will live up to the hype, given that we aren't looking at a traditional live performance here. Instead, it's just going to be a standard DJ set—essentially someone spinning whatever happens to be on their playlist. From what I've been hearing, the selection isn't even particularly stellar, unless they decide to throw in a few of their own tracks every now and then.
Tyler Howard46 said:these bands are easily 4.23 times better than last year's lineup last year, you could have spent the whole time weeping into your iPhone, staring blankly at Kraftwerk, or just looking pale while watching Foo Fighters...
But what exactly can you do now? The only thing left worth jumping or dancing to is Pendulum...
PENDLETON!!!! Finally, someone with an actual decent name on this festival lineup, though if you ask me, it’s still not quite enough to justify shelling out the cash for a ticket, because even Pendleton isn't worth $133...

Go Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 👍 👍
I couldn't agree more; if they announce their lineup, I am buying a ticket immediately. Even if my entire crew decides to sit this one out, I will simply go by myself—it truly doesn't matter. After all, haven't I been waiting to see The Chemical Brothers since I was just a kid? They were quite literally the very first group I ever took seriously... 🙂
For the love of all that is holy, please bring Gorillaz to our shores. I am currently immersed in their latest record, and frankly, is there anything else out there even remotely approaching this level of brilliance? It stands alone as one of the most profound musical achievements I have ever had the privilege to experience... 🙂
Joseph Jackson2 said:Exactly. This lineup is far too expensive for such a collection of names. Massive Attack was there, sure, but then you have some new punk kids, or people I’ve literally never heard of in my entire life. !!! It’s all over the place. Last year, for $83, I saw Moby. Now, he’s an actual household name. I don't exactly listen to Lily Allen, but fine, she was "trending" at the time. Kraftwerk—absolute legends. And Foster the People were there two years ago, and they still delivered.
If I were to drop $100 on this particular mess, considering the trek to Washington, D.C. and back, paying for drinks, and dealing with the fact that it's a weekday... no. No. No. Absolutely not.
I can still vividly recall it. On New Year's Day, acting like a fool, I headed down to the Mall of America to grab a ticket. While I was standing there waiting in line, scrolling through my phone, I see on Facebook that the tickets had sold out just thirty minutes prior. Talk about bad luck. Heh.
Go ahead. Please, tear me apart.
I agree, though I suspect they’ll announce at least two more major headliners; it seems they realized their mistake from last year when they announced everyone too early and everyone jumped on those cheap tickets right away...

I can only pray they aren't conducting any sort of background checks on bad actors like myself—preparing the metaphorical guillotines, public pillories, and media lynch mobs :-)

Why on earth would anyone deign to volunteer at a massive commercial festival where the organizers are raking in obscene amounts of profit, all thanks to the backbreaking labor you provide for absolutely nothing? 😂

I find myself wondering if it’s even feasible for them to play on the 22nd in Washington, D.C. and then hit Sofia on the 23rd if they're relying on buses. I'm not entirely certain about the frequency of those routes, but I'd imagine it's at least a sixteen-hour haul... unless, of course, they decide to fly.
A bus? Honestly... LOL... In this day and age, people travel via private jets chartered specifically for a tour, wouldn't you agree?😉
As someone once pointed out, this music belongs strictly to the era of the Soviet Union, and frankly, I find myself utterly bewildered by how any kid today could be shaving their head to these rhythms; instead of seeking out actual urban music, they choose this, but well, I suppose far be it from me to judge...
