Oh, please, just send over the 🙂. I really appreciate it. I haven't actually gotten around to making that chili recipe yet...

It strikes me as really strange that they aren't running those tests, because it’s actually mandatory!!! Accutane is basically a derivative of Vitamin A. Please, just tell them you need your levels checked...
It's standard procedure here, since if your triglyceride or cholesterol levels spike, they'll have to dial back the dosage or even stop the treatment entirely! Don't take any risks with this...

I wouldn't say everything has to be cooked. By just "picking" vegetables raw, you actually lose out on some nutrients. Take tomatoes, for instance—they’re packed with lycopene, a powerful antioxidant, and cooking doesn't destroy it; if anything, it makes it even more effective. Gary Watson4, you mentioned you couldn't survive on just the soup, but what about the rest of the menu that goes along with it? I read somewhere that you got this recipe from a hospital... Could you share a bit more about how you first started this and how you manage the diet day-to-day?

Thanks so much! I'm planning on cooking this tomorrow. My plan is to grab a bowl of chili the second I start feeling hungry. 😁 I'll be sticking strictly to the prescribed meal plan, too. I'll definitely check back in once I see how it turns out...

I have two quick questions for you all: how much water do you typically use for your chili recipe, and is it okay to eat the veggies cooked the day before, or should they always be fresh?😕

So, I have this friend who was on Accutane for six months. Her skin actually cleared up—though she didn't really deal with enlarged pores, just incredibly oily skin. But looking at where she is now after those six months... her skin looks great, sure, but her body is painfully dry. She’s getting actual cracks and sores on her hands just from touching water or dish soap. Plus, her vision has taken a hit... She told me she would never go through that again. Honestly, she said she'd much rather just take Yasmin than touch Accutane ever again. I’ve been struggling with my own skin issues and was seriously considering starting Accutane myself, but after hearing everything she went through... I'm just not brave enough. I wanted to ask you: do they make you check your triglycerides and cholesterol every two weeks? They were testing her constantly. And honestly, I don't understand how anyone even gets a hold of that medication without a prescription and blood work... it seems impossible.

I always start them on the same day I first began the cycle... which was a Friday.

Quick question: For the last few days, I’ve been dealing with this constant sweet taste in my mouth. I’m drinking plenty of water, but everything just tastes sugary... and even the water feels weirdly "sweet" 😕. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar? I'm honestly a little worried about diabetes. That said, I have been taking Vitamin A and D supplements for about three weeks now, so maybe there's a connection. I read somewhere that excessive Vitamin D can actually be toxic and might cause these kinds of symptoms. I skipped my dose this morning just to see... Help 😢.
