Do you have any pain around your spine? Any nausea? And have you actually gone in for an endoscopy yet?
Or most likely just acid reflux... either way—you aren't going to know for sure until you get an endoscopy.

Same here...morning is strictly for coffee, and in the afternoon, if I'm out with people, I honestly can't think of anything else worth ordering...
I’ve had it both in Washington, D.C. and out in California... how much of a difference is there between water from the Colorado River versus the Mississippi?😲
Lisa Barrett22 said:Okay, I’ve got a bit of an issue here.
Over the last few months, I’ve noticed some facial hair popping up—nothing crazy, but way more noticeable than before—specifically along my jawline (hope that makes sense). There are a few dark ones I just pluck away with tweezers (which wasn't really an issue before 😠), but even the lighter fuzz seems to be getting thicker. It’s honestly driving me nuts, so please tell me who I should talk to for help or advice. 😢 Should I see a dermatologist? (And if so, any recs? Ideally someone through my insurance, not some pricey private specialist.) What’s the move? 😕
Could this be some kind of hormonal imbalance? I’m not on birth control, so it’s not that. How do people usually deal with stuff like this? Any advice helps! 🙂
I'm actually pretty freaked out. 😢
First off, don't freak out... it's probably nothing major!!!!👍
But look... I went through something similar, except I also had acne and spotting during ovulation. Total hormonal mess. Taking birth control fixed everything for me...
Get your hormones checked first... if everything comes back normal, just keep plucking. After a while, they'll likely settle down on their own.

cornmeal vs. kerosene
Honestly, I haven't a clue... even though I dabble in biomedical electronics... but tech is definitely moving fast. Just look at how digital cameras evolved... for example...
all I know for sure is this: my scan at the public hospital took 45 minutes, while the private clinic knocked it out in 15.
I was just as still both times, and the images looked identical?!?!?!?
Eh... they aren't just going to hand you a referral for an MRI or CT scan on a silver platter. Especially with an MRI—I'm pretty sure there’s actually a board that has to sign off on those... My EEU was a total disaster (honestly, it was awful), and only then did they finally send me for a CT... and when they didn't find anything there, I was left waiting indefinitely for an MRI that never happened.
Honestly, it's probably better not to say much...
If you truly believe this isn't psychological or related to low blood pressure or something (my mom, my wife, and I all get massive headaches from low BP whenever we skip our morning coffee)... you should start by asking for a scan of the carotid arteries. It's a "cheaper" scan and it'll actually get them to give you a referral... just ask for it!!
And if everything comes back fine and they still won't give you the green light for a CT or MRI... well, if you can swing the cash, just go to a private clinic. It'll likely be way more comfortable than the hospital anyway—it takes maybe 10 or 15 minutes, whereas at the hospital, where the machines are a bit dated, an MRI can drag on for nearly an hour. ...

Basically, I get these headaches.. at least once a week.. they can be so brutal I’m practically crying from the pain.. I went to my doctor and they said they don't know why.. I've done those EEUs, seen an eye specialist, etc.. and nothing comes up.. Anyone have experience with this? Also.. pills aren't doing squat... took two painkillers about an hour ago and zero relief.. tried plenty over the years but nothing helps. The pain is right at the base of my skull. Thnx.
Not a doctor, but... have you had an MRI or a CT scan yet?! Or maybe a color Doppler (VCD?)—you know, checking the blood flow through the back of your neck... maybe that's a bit restricted...?!?! I used to get headaches and just pass out... turned out that was the culprit...
Faith!?! But the real question is—does ANYONE actually believe in anything 100%?

I get it... but it hits different when it’s someone you love. When it's you? You just want to live, plain and simple. You just keep hoping.
I’ve been in a "similar" spot myself—maybe a little less of a mess, though I am terrified of death—but at one point, I somehow felt stronger than everyone else in the room. I remember my guy—he’s definitely not some pushover—thinking I’d just lock myself in a dark room and cry for hours if he wasn't around, but I was like a lightning bolt. I just had this gut feeling that things would work out... that everything would be fine. I don't know... maybe you just get this weird surge of strength to keep going when things hit the fan? Like some kind of defense mechanism or something...
Taylor King7 said:is there any difference if I ride my bike for 20 mins in the morning and then 20 mins later in the evening
versus just doing a solid 40 all at once?
Nah, 😢
you don't really start tapping into those fat stores until you hit about the 40-minute mark—though that depends on your build and how your metabolism handles things. if the goal is actually losing weight... you gotta push yourself to the point of fatigue. if you aren't...👋
