Headache help! in Health ·
darkdriver502 said:So, I deal with headaches pretty often—usually about twice a week, for as long as I can remember.
But lately, I’ve been tracking it over the last three weeks, and man, it’s been hitting me basically every single day.
Sometimes it’s just a quick ten-minute flare-up, other times it hangs around for hours on end.
I'm planning to head to the doctor, but probably not until next week—so in the meantime, I'd love to hear what you all think is going on.🙄

Up until a few months ago, I was going through the exact same thing—terrible daily headaches, sometimes mild, sometimes lasting half the day. It turns out the whole mess was actually caused by a rotten tooth.

Brenda Green16 said:I went to see my doctor today—same story, really. She insisted that the test was 100% accurate and that I am definitely pregnant. To deal with it, she prescribed some Norethindrone to trigger my period, and then I'll switch over to birth control pills to get everything back on track once things stabilize.

Did she actually give you a physical exam first? And more importantly, how are you holding up?
Time to unwind... in Health ·
Jamie Reyes3 said:Hey there!
I’m starting this thread because I want to see if anyone else is dealing with this same "issue" that's been eating away at me lately...
How on earth do you all actually unwind? Between the grind of the job, the endless mountain of schoolwork, college exams, and the constant, unrelenting stress hitting us from every single direction... it’s exhausting. Seriously—how are you managing to keep your head above water without losing your mind?😠
My issue is that I’m constantly living in this state of perpetual tension—just wired and on edge all the time. I actually saw a doctor a few years back, and she tried to prescribe me those Xanax or whatever other junk they throw at you... but I am absolutely NOT going to mess around with that stuff. Why? Because I’m only 20 years old, for God's sake! I simply refuse to start relying on pills like that!👎
Does anyone out there have any actual advice on how to shake this constant, restless anxiety? It’s like this jittery, overexcited feeling that just won't quit—and the worst part is, I can't even point to a single reason why. It's just... there. Constant. Who am I even supposed to turn to for help here? Should I be looking into therapy? A psychiatrist? Or maybe some sort of meditation routine? I'm honestly at a bit of a loss.🙄

Just to give you an example... back in elementary school, whenever I was expected to speak up in class or make some kind of public statement—it just wouldn't happen. It was impossible. The sweating, the constant perspiration, the face turning bright red, all that nonsense... honestly, it was just nauseating. Fast forward to similar situations now—like when I have a big exam at college—and I still find myself getting way too worked up. It’s the same old story, and naturally, there are consequences—my concentration tanks and my grades suffer because of it.🤷I honestly don't even know anymore—it’s just how I am, everywhere and always...
Alright, I’m all ears—give me the details! What exactly are we looking at here? Don't just leave me hanging with a vague request; lay it all out on the table so I can actually provide some meaningful input. What's the situation?☕☕☕☕

Look, I’ll be the first to admit—I am an incredibly high-strung person. Honestly, between all the absolute garbage I’ve had to deal with throughout my life and just my natural temperament, I’m constantly on edge and perpetually irritable. It’s exhausting. Since you’re asking, I don’t exactly have some profound, life-altering wisdom to offer you, but if I had to give you a tip: try to practice some semblance of self-control when the temper starts flaring up. You’ll get better at managing it over time—it’s a skill, after all—but for right now, maybe steer clear of the heavy-duty stuff like Xanax. Instead, look into some herbal relaxation supplements or calming capsules. They might help take the edge off without making you feel like a zombie.

Brenda Green16 said:Look, I’ve been dealing with some major stress over the last few days. My period has always been pretty irregular—which honestly didn't bother me much until about three months ago. We had sex back then, and I ended up getting my period just once after that, on November 6th, but since then? Nothing. Zilch. I went to see my OB-GYN, and five days ago, I took a urine pregnancy test—not a blood test—and it came back negative. I even did an at-home test before that, and that was negative too. But then, two days ago, I noticed a tiny bit of spotting in my underwear. I thought, "Okay, here comes my period," so I started taking the pills my doctor prescribed. But my period still hasn't arrived, and now I'm totally lost as to what that spotting actually was. So, here's my question: Is it even possible to be pregnant despite those two negative tests? We used condoms every single time, and they never broke or anything. Also, could this possibly be an ectopic pregnancy, given that the tests were negative?

Honestly, you can never be 100% sure with condoms. As for an ectopic pregnancy, I doubt it—you would be in absolute agony if that were the case. Your best bet is to just head back to the gynecologist for another exam and get some real answers.

Alex Mendoza2 said:I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the replies—you honestly have no idea how much this means to me 😁 especially since I don't really have anyone else to lean on right now 🙂

It’s going to take a little more time, but you’ll get there—just take it slow.

Alex Mendoza2 said:I just finished browsing through the site—honestly, I'm impressed. Where can I actually pick this up? Is it available at any local pharmacy?

Edit: Oh, wait—just realized you have to order it online. My bad.

Hey, here’s a little piece of advice from the ladies: try to find some other ways to decompress—maybe some self-care more often? Alcohol and nicotine used to be our go-to relaxants too, and we all felt that void. Once your system finally clears out everything, you’re going to feel like a whole new person. I'm certain you'll get back to your old self in no time. Good luck!👍
How can I gain weight? in Health ·
Gary Kern73 said:Look, I'm a 19-year-old guy, standing about 5'10" and weighing roughly 132 lbs. Obviously, that's way too low—my BMI is over a full point below where it should be. The real kicker? I eat four times a day, and I’m not even talking about "dieting"—I eat everything in sight, from regular meals to massive amounts of chocolate... I seriously don't hold back on anything. I usually end up eating right before bed, sometimes even really heavy stuff, but it just doesn't stick to my ribs. When I talk to people, they're always shocked by how much I consume versus how skinny I stay. I've been hitting the gym for about three months now and managed to put on maybe 4 or 5 lbs—which basically means I was even scrawnier before this. Now, I'm actually looking into buying some supplements to help pack on mass. I absolutely have to gain weight because I go for my annual physical for the U.S. Army every year, and last time, they barely let me pass. Does anyone have advice or maybe a website where I can look into this kind of thing?
Thanks so much!!!!

Maybe the issue is that you have a slow metabolism since food just isn't sticking to you; you really ought to go get your thyroid levels checked first so you actually know what's going on. It's pointless to start pumping yourself full of supplements just to look bloated—before you even think about steroids or any of that nonsense, go see a doctor. That's my honest advice.
