John Peterson3 said:They could have easily cast someone who actually looks like the guy playing Fisher in Blacklist.

That guy doesn't look anything like the Fisher from the game—not even close. Not to mention, he looks like a kid.

I can't forgive them—not just for replacing him, but for choosing such a subpar actor to take his place.

That really sat wrong with me too. Though, I personally find Blacklist much stronger than Conviction—so let's just hope they don't base a movie on that sequel. Honestly? I’d much prefer if they stuck to the vibe of the first four games: more stealth, less "run and gun."

Andrew Roberts3 said:I think Hardy is a decent pick—even if he’s arguably a bit too young for the role of Fisher—but let’s be honest: he doesn't have that Michael Ironside voice. And in my eyes, that voice is 90% of the character. I was just playing Splinter Cell: Conviction, which happens to be the last game in the series where Ironside actually voiced him.

It isn't just about the voice; he’s also a little too young to play this guy. Not to mention he's a British actor playing an American. 😁 Still, a much better choice than Paul Walker, who was supposedly lined up to play Agent 47.

Just watched it!!! Honestly, the movie feels more like a psychological horror thriller than an action flick—it hits me with a vibe similar to > or some of those > films. And I wouldn't even call it a true sequel; at least, that's how I experienced it, since there isn't any real indication that the plot follows anything from the previous installments. My only gripe is that it drags a bit because it leans so hard into the psychedelia. It’s also a shame that > and > don't have much screen time, but even so, the film is killer. That final half hour is absolutely insane when they crank the realistic action and violence up to the max—especially that fight between > and >. Seriously, I haven't seen a better brawl in a long time.

What a joke. I might consider checking it out, but honestly, the whole idea of yet another prequel just doesn't sit right with me. Fast & Furious 2 was mediocre at best. My biggest issue? The direction was lackluster—and the production value felt incredibly cheap compared to the original. I get that it’s a direct-to-video release, but why even bother watching if you've already grown accustomed to much higher quality?

We really ought to just rename the entire franchise

What an absolute disaster. 🙂I can't believe every single site is pushing this thing. Look, I wasn't exactly raving about the first one—but at least it offered some actual entertainment? It actually managed to strike a balance between horror and humor. This sequel, however, just leans into this obnoxious slapstick comedy where the jokes are incredibly crude. The directing is subpar, and the plot—my god—is just exhausting. I know people say the story doesn't matter, but how am I supposed to sit through characters this lazy and cliché? Honestly, you might enjoy this if you're completely depraved (in which case, maybe just watch porn instead?) or if you're a total psychopath who lives for gallons of blood and kids getting decapitated. 😁 They could have at least made better use of David Hasselhoff, who is easily the best part of the whole movie.
