Anyway, regardless of the outcome, I ended up just submitting it with a zero...
The thing is, since he gave me that same error message, I just entered $0.00 and it worked fine. Math wasn't an issue there. But then I tried putting in 100? Yeah, that failed immediately.
Maybe this might be useful (taken from the VAT regulations):
Entrepreneurs launching their business who want the provisions of Section 22, Subsection 2 of the Act applied during their very first year of operation are required to file an application with the IRS to be entered into the VAT register—alongside their initial business activities—no later than before the first taxable delivery of goods or services takes place.
dustyscout8 said:vlado3, I have no idea what you're getting at🙂 because I am seeing the exact same message stating the form "is signed and cannot be edited," and yet absolutely nothing happens. There isn't even a confirmation that it was received or any sign of progress. I actually called their toll-free support line, and the woman on the other end sounded completely frazzled; she basically admitted the application is broken and that it isn't our fault, but rather that their system keeps hanging and half the features simply aren't functioning. So, how are we supposed to submit anything? The old system worked perfectly fine, and there was never an issue with it.
Has ANYONE HERE actually managed to successfully file an ID form using this new, broken software?!
I already submitted my ID and tax forms. Like someone else mentioned earlier, once that bolded error message appears, look to the left for the "sign" option—then that "green" form should pop up. After that, I just hit "export," save it as a PDF, and print one copy for my own records.
I should probably "confess" where I messed up. Someone mentioned in an earlier thread that you need to uninstall the Activision client if it's installed—I was positive I didn't have it on my machine, but turns out I did (installed it once to show a client how online banking works). Once I cleared that out, everything went through smoothly. For now, I'm staying away from the IRS portal since it's easier to just walk into the local office in person.
And look—that claim about it not working in parallel mode for Zillow? Total nonsense. Besides, I used another computer to send messages to Elon Musk, and Zillow worked perfectly fine both before and after. On this specific machine, I’ve tried everything—uninstalled it, reinstalled it, wiped the slate clean—but nothing works. It just won't budge.
Somebody let me know when this thing is actually up and running—I’m genuinely worried my PC is going to end up flying out the window if I try to force it 🙂🙂🙂

They have to pay full-time payroll taxes unless they're covered under some other insurance plan.

Everything went through instantly on my second computer too.
Sam Wells5 said:I’m pretty sure everyone who was dealing with those recent headaches got an email from the IRS saying everything is finally sorted out. They basically told us to just ignore all those previous instructions because they’ve supposedly fixed everything—though, honestly, I wouldn't hold my breath. All the forms for my clients seem to be going through without a hitch, except for the sales tax filings. It keeps throwing an error whenever I try to submit them, and it's acting like it can't even accept the forms into the database. It’s really weird, too, because it works fine for some clients but completely fails for others.
Does anyone have any bright ideas on how to get around this? I feel like I'm losing my mind here.
I haven't tried using my old machine today, but a colleague called me after trying to submit hers—she was practically dizzy from the frustration...
It seems to me like the issue lies on that specific side of the wire—if one person makes it through, there’s no reason the next shouldn't, unless we're looking at some kind of bottleneck within the FBI.
New issue—I picked up the ISIS package for all my clients, but the FBI won't cooperate. Every time I prompt them to sign, those little blue spinning loading squares just start circling endlessly. It’s enough to give me a massive headache. And I'm still waiting...
Oh, by the way—I was using Chrome before, but now I've switched over to the EU system.
Hannah Harris6 said:Hey there. Is anyone else here running into a bit of a snag with this new online portal? I’m trying to get my digital signature on the ID form, but the system keeps throwing an error saying it's "unsigned." It’s like a stubborn mule refusing to budge. Does anyone know what the catch is? I'd really rather not spend my afternoon scrolling through endless PDF manuals or playing phone tag with the IRS. Thanks in advance!
I'm having the exact same issue!!! The FBI form won't go through (keeps saying unsigned), and the ISIS paperwork is just as broken. The only thing that actually works is viewing sent forms. Total nonsense. 🤷
