Ugh, still haven't recovered. I was waiting for the family to finally crash so I could get some reading done in peace. 🙂

Keep it simple—pull the card out and reinsert it. Just make sure you close out Edge or whatever browser you're running first.
Try clearing your temporary files too.

Actually, I was just about to look something up on Reddit—then I decided to dive right in and write this out myself (hope that makes sense enough) 😲

Try this approach:
- In the statement view, just click the printer icon in the "print" column
- A new window will pop up showing the actual statement
- Hit "File" and then select "Print"
- From the printer list, pick "CutePDF" or whatever PDF printer you have installed
And there you go...

Henry Edwards33 said:I just print the submission confirmation on the back of the form itself. That’s on them to deal with during processing; if they run into hiccups, I'm not going to waste my time printing extra receipts. 🤷
If I were you, I'd just claim the sales tax credit using the submission confirmation. Don't make it more complicated than it needs to be. 😘

Agreed. I never even bother checking the status once it's submitted. As long as I have my proof of filing, the ball is in their court.
If they don't have it, fine—I have my receipt. They can come "ask" nicely if they need me to resend it.😉

Jessica Grant56 said:Liti dreamed up this little corner of the internet a long time ago—a sanctuary where people could just exist without constant bickering or attacks. For me, it was always my escape from the trolls. But lately, things have taken a turn for the worse. It feels like some of the admins act like they're absolute dictators; they don't give a damn about the actual vibe or what’s happening here on the forum, they just hand out bans left and right, and eventually, you're wiped from the web entirely. Or so they claim...

Honestly, though? People like that don't scare me. They come and go, but I'll still be around. Wanting to help people doesn't mean I want to pick fights with anyone who disagrees with me—unless, of course, they decide to get aggressive. If I'm the one in the wrong—well, fine, just ban my account... I'll just come back with two or three friends and see if you can actually stop us! (not that those typical internet trolls ever could)

I wanted to take a moment to thank all the ladies and gentlemen here for the support you've given me. Without you, I would have made so many more mistakes and been totally lost. A special thanks to Liti—we actually went head-to-head quite a bit years ago, but that grew into a wonderful friendship once we learned how to treat each other with respect. Like real human beings! And I can't forget everyone else—apis, devilgirl, gric, and even Vlad. You guys have always been there, and I know you always will be.

So, if you don't see me around, it just means they finally pulled the plug on me. But hey... justice is blind, right?
Best, Jessica Grant56

Look, Jessica Grant56, I didn't think you'd drag me into tears this early in the morning—not really your style.
You can't just walk away from everyone on the other side of the tracks like that.
Sit tight and deal with it!!!

Donna Martin11 said:Hi there..

I'm trying to calculate the actual total cost of an employee—including payroll taxes and all those extra employer contributions—if I hire them at the federal minimum wage.

Thanks in advance

Roughly $3,250 total—with the worker taking home about $2,240.

V. AMOUNT PAID TO DATE BEFORE THIS FILING IS 38125.47
VI. TOTAL DIFFERENCE: DUE/REFUND$0.00 I TYPED IN $0.00 AND I HONESTLY CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG. IF EVERYTHING IS ALREADY PAID UP, WHY AM I GETTING THIS ERROR? ANYONE HAVE A CLUE? THANKS FOR THE HELP

Thanks, vitas—I always prefer having the full context behind these kinds of obligations.😉

Sure thing—there’s no limit on the number of computers you can use.
Try this path: Start -> All Programs -> Activ identity -> activ client -> user console
Once you're there, check the "my certificates" box in the window, then hit tools and select "make certificate available to win"

The internal documentation and account adjustments were supposed to be finalized by January 1st—period. After that, you're left dealing with the mandatory receipt fiscalization for cash transactions (submitting those cash receipts to the IRS and picking up your JIRA), which depends entirely on which category you fall under—either April 1st or July 1st.

Here’s the deal... my accountant told all our clients they need to go out and get their own digital certificates. He claims he’ll still help everyone out with the setup, getting things installed, and actually sending the forms... but I'm wondering... how much is this really going to hit small business owners or sole proprietors who have to deal with sales tax? Like, what does that look like monthly or yearly for the little guys?...

That means if he’s got 50 clients, he’s looking at 50 different credentials. Or better yet, does he expect every single client to show up at his office with their own hardware every time a document needs to be sent via e-filing?
It sounds completely impractical—and frankly, a total money pit. We're talking 50 clients * 12 months * $17 = $30,000 in wasted overhead.

Kimberly Harris6 said:Apparently, there’s a deadline coming up on January 31st, 2013, to get those reports over to OSHA regarding all the workplace injuries logged throughout 2012.
Has anyone actually dealt with this yet? Does anyone know what the specific format for these filings is supposed to look like?

Where did this rumor even come from?

Jessica Grant56 said:Jessica Grant56, I’m still reeling here. Please tell me I haven't completely lost it—if I’m paying out $4.00 based on my 2011 earnings right now in 2013, does that mean I can’t even file for a tax refund until 2014???

It’s always me against the IRS. I try to play by the rules, and they just find new ways to reach into my pockets... what a joke.

Hey Lili, come out from whatever corner you're hiding in! Where have you been?? Are you also getting squeezed by the government?

Of course you can. And hey, don't be surprised if they don't actually cut the check until 2015 😂

Roger Stewart2 said:Hey, I could really use some help here,
I've got an employee who had some complications before giving birth back in 2012, so she was covered under Medicare at the time. Looking at her insurance card for 2012, the columns for January and February are filled out—which makes sense—but I'm stuck on the rest. Should the other columns be filled with zeros, or is it fine if they're just left blank? Right now, mine are totally empty, and I'm not sure if that's going to cause a headache later.

Leave them blank—especially if you're filing through a digital portal. I’ve had plenty of claims kicked back because there were data entries for months where nothing was actually paid out (like long-term disability over 42 days, seasonal workers, etc.). It's cleaner to leave them empty.

If you can't find it on the Silicon Valley site, just head over to the FBI's e-business portal—they have an XLS form there that you'll need to convert into an XML file. Burn it to a disc, attach the cover sheet, and hand it all in to the FBI 😉

Kimberly Harris6 said:The OECD stuff is fascinating!! When I first started, they told me I only needed to show up once, but then after a while, they started demanding it every single time... Honestly, I'm just over the hassle. I'd rather just send a power of attorney and my card via a colleague (I don't even have to go myself); they handle the paperwork and everyone stays happy. They constantly wear me down with these contradictory statements and endless requirements. At this point, I'd much rather deal with extra paperwork than have to listen to them acting all "brilliant."

Exactly—that’s what I did this morning. Sent a coworker over with the power of attorney papers and the card in his pocket.
They stamped the authorizations (three total, including Lili...) and sent them back, but they didn't even ask for the card. 🙄

For the first time, you’re going to have to head down to the IRS office in person with your card—basically, they need to "verify" you physically. Only after that's settled can you actually start using the IRS Portal.
IRS and Tax Filing Issues in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
I didn't make it down to the IRS office today—instead, I swung by the FINRA office because I had to renew my certificate. And wouldn't you know it, the lady behind the counter starts demanding my ID, my debit card, and my PIN.
At least she didn't ask for a TSMC audit report, a census transcript, and my balance sheets from the last decade. 😂😂
