It doesn't even matter; we won't even need Davor during the second half of the tournament. When things get critical (quarterfinals, semifinals, the finals😁), he'll be ready to play😎
Oh please, as if ten thousand idiots wearing Viking hats are going to help those losers become anything other than the total hacks they already are. Once you're a failure, you're a failure for life. We're going to crush them.🙂

They were up by four goals and somehow collapsed to zero right before the buzzer! Therefore, even they can fall into a black hole because of youth, lack of experience, or maybe just catching some bad vibes from those greedy newcomers who moved to Denmark and brought that "get rich quick" attitude with them!div>

I heard their perimeter defense is pretty green and lacks experience, though they aren't exactly rookies with Boldsen and Jorgensen. Still, winning by a small margin shouldn't be an issue if things go our way.
Leegaard is actually the youngest at 24, while most of the rest fall between the late 70s and early 80s birth years—excluding those old-timers like Christiansen who is 35. They aren't exactly "young" per se; sure, they have some fresh names on the roster, but they aren't exactly kids.🤣
Here come the Danes again, those old acquaintances of ours. We run into them sooner or later at every championship, and here we are once more. We absolutely crushed them back in Portugal, but then lost that bronze medal match in Canada without even breaking a sweat. Later, we snatched a win against them with a last-second goal in Switzerland, only to lose to them again in the battle for third place.
We know them well, and they certainly know us. They’re dangerous—playing a lightning-fast game with quick attacks and almost no hesitation. We have to control them from the jump; the key is to stretch out our possessions and wait for the right opening rather than racing with them and letting their wingers tear us apart on the break after every one of our attacks. They racked up 8 fast-break goals against Norway, and if we let them do that to us, we're in trouble—though I don't think we need to worry too much. We have the most efficient offense in the tournament at 68%. We aren't wasteful; against Russia, we kept our attacking errors to an absolute minimum, and if we play like that against the Americans, we'll be fine. For context, Russia and Morocco only got 3 fast-break goals on us, and Korea only managed 1. On the flip side, our defense has been giving up quite a few: 9/13 against Korea, 6/9 against Morocco, and 6/7 against Russia. If we show a granite-solid defense, we can beat them with their own weapon. 👍
Their old regulars are there: Christiansen and Stryger on the wings, Hvidt playing like an octopus in goal, and Knudsen on the line. They're missing Jeppesen from the perimeter, but Boldsen and Jorgensen are stepping up... just a bunch of familiar faces. 🙂
As for our (much criticized) goalkeepers, they’re sitting at a 33% save rate, which is pretty middle-of-the-road or even slightly below average for this tournament. The French keepers are leading the pack at 41%, which isn't surprising, Omeyer is killing it again, and the Polish keepers seem to have gone totally rogue with save rates as high as 46%.
And finally, some good news to wrap things up: everything is looking ok with the feathers. 👋
feralbison62 said:Roger Allen3, what happened to the thread about the game against Denmark? I'm a bit lost here: I only have 13 hours available to hang out on this site.
Since the Czechs just beat Egypt, we finally have a clear picture of what our group looks like heading into the second round.
It'll be Spain, the Czech Republic (they'll likely lose their head-to-head against Spain and carry zero points forward, while Spain takes two), Canada (definitely carrying two points), the Denmark/Norway matchup (wherever they land, they'll start the next round with zero), the USA, and Russia (we'll decide who carries two points based on our match against them).
If we manage to take down Russia, we’re basically in the semifinals already. From there, it’s just the Czechs, Canadians, and those exhausted Scandinavians—and honestly, we're better than all of them.👋 Even if we have to face Spain, we'll get our revenge for Davor.👋
I'm calling it now: France in the semifinals, Germany in the finals for the third time, and our handball stars taking home gold for the third time in four years!👋 😬
feralbison62 said:Is Sergey Lavrov still facing shots at 67?🤣 🤣 Their keepers aren't much to write home about; Kostich's guys and those folks from Chicago were just making noise.😬
Yeah, he is:-) Kostich's guy is their primary keeper. Sure, those Chicago fans gave him a hard time, but only during one game.😬
Are we really looking at a Russian squad without Yegorov, Kuleshov, and Torgovanov?
With Maximov playing like a coward, they look seriously weakened. I mean, seriously, Torgovanov is 35 and Kuleshov is already 33... all their real threats are sidelined: Koksarov and Krivosjikov, then Cipurin, Rastvortsev, and Ivanov... I honestly have no idea what kind of shape their goalkeepers are in right now.
