Oh, come on, there are plenty of them scattered throughout Canadian clubs—they aren't exactly nobodies. The overall quality of any given sport really just boils down to one thing: what percentage of the total player base actually possesses high-level talent.

Soccer definitely suffers from having the lowest concentration of talent compared to any other team sport. It’s quite simple: there are just way too many people playing it. Honestly, anyone in America who can kick a ball twice without falling over considers themselves a soccer player! 🙄

The kids start playing soccer at three years old, join a club by seven, and they're already competing in international tournaments by nine! Meanwhile, guys in our top handball league didn't even know what handball was at fifteen. In soccer, those kids go through endless levels of scouting and selection before they hit fifteen, whereas these guys are only just getting started.

Things are looking up compared to when I was coming of age, though nothing compares to the magic of football!
