Nürburgring GP Recap: July 22, 2012 in Formula 1 ·
Every cloud has a silver lining, I guess! But man, that holiday hotel ad? It felt more like a cheap late-night infomercial. And don't even get me started on that guy at the end—acting all "corporate professional" when he looks like some kid straight out of a suburban high school basement.😁
brava Button

It’s way better if Kimi takes the win. At least his podium behavior isn't freaking annoying.

He wouldn't be spraying champagne everywhere, and honestly, even Lauda would be stuck wondering what to ask him. Everyone knows Kimi just doesn't give a damn about anything.🙂

Hey there!
What a hell of a start! It’s gonna be a killer race, just hope Alonso doesn't pull away too far.

I bet they even had some faster ones, like 2.8 sec

I can't even deal with this right now. Just absolute garbage. Honestly, what are we even doing here? Total waste of my damn time. kaže:
Plus, they're sitting at number 5 overall.🙏
What a hell of a comeback season. Seriously.😁

Look at the standings. Just look at who’s ahead of him and especially who's sitting behind him. Honestly? I think this is his ceiling. People love to play the "what if" game—saying maybe he could've grabbed more points in certain races—but let's get real. Considering how much time he missed and looking at the grid he's fighting today, this is easily one of his best comeback seasons ever. Who actually saw this Lotus resurgence coming before the season even kicked off? Not me. At the start, the top six spots were basically locked down by Red Bull, McLaren, and Ferrari. Even Mercedes was feeling themselves, and Sauber was right there in the mix. Now? Everything has changed.
It’s pretty wild how this massive list of names keeps dragging on from the first one all the way down to the sixteenth, yet Kimi barely even gets a mention. Nobody’s picking fights with him, nobody's getting into scraps, and nobody’s giving him any grief either. He just stays out of the drama.🙂Like fifth place doesn't even exist!
Maybe just one more win, and we’re golden. I’ve got a feeling about Spa—it’s smelling like a victory to me.😉.
What's up, Kimi fans!😉

Hey
I’m honestly just as hyped for the rain as I am dreading an SC. Between how boring they are and how much they can mess with the final standings through pure manipulation, I'm over it. From what I've seen so far, anything goes.
As for the race, same old story: I just want to see Kimi as high up in the rankings as possible.🤷

Kimi’s just sitting there waiting for the DRS zone😢, for crying out loud. Used to be this guy would absolutely hunt down anyone in front of him, but now? He's basically an old man driving a Sunday cruiser. This whole race is a total wash, nothing to write home about.

Brian Campbell36 said:No doubt about it, F1 is what matters. It’s the priority.

This game is nothing, just the opener. Everyone’s expecting a massive showdown between Schumacher-Senna-Prost, so I’m basically counting down the minutes until the lights go out at 8:00 PM.

Same here. Zero dilemma. The race comes first. If we score a goal, everyone’s gonna hear it anyway because every single dive bar around me is packed and every patio has a TV blaring. Honestly, people are overhyping the Dollar way too much—I'm sick of all those beer commercials everywhere. Plus, my buddies are broke as hell right now.
Plus, this could be a turning point. I’m losing faith in having seven different winners. I think we’re gonna see some separation soon, especially with Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel. The teams have had enough time to iron out the kinks and stop the mistakes; I’m not holding my breath for some random Pastor Maldonado disaster. And man, as much as I’d love to see Kimi Räikkönen or Kamui Kobayashi take the win...
With Kimi, I'll just be happy if he even scrapes some points.😢

All this Lotus stuff just reminds me of waiting on Torres to finally score for Chelsea. Only difference is, Torres actually pulled it off once in a while.😢
Hey.
First time I’m actually skipping Coachella!
The lineup is a total joke. Someone mentioned what they'd pay for $100. Seriously, how did they used to pull in names like Nick Cave, Sonic Youth, Alice in Chains, or Anthrax for the same damn money? These days bands live off touring because nobody buys CDs anymore, so either find better sponsors or fix this mess.
What pisses me off most is how much the organizers are lowballing us. What kind of bullshit is it where only two bands are even hitting New York City? Put in some actual effort, set up genre nights, and bring in other acts within that same budget. Like, seriously, Guns N' Roses?
Are you telling me they can't book PJ Harvey or Garbage—who are out on tour right now—for the same cash they're paying Franz Ferdinand?
Just bring in The Stone Roses and bump the ticket price to $350 or whatever, $133.
People aren't stupid. Build a lineup that draws crowds from all over the country and abroad; a festival is more than just what happens on stage.
I remember those early festivals at Central Park—absolute madness. You'd grab tickets instantly and the whole crew would show up. I used to go just to be front row for Happy Mondays, but now? I couldn't give a damn about Franz or those canceled sets by The Cranberries.
My whole old crew, the people I’ve spent years tearing it up with, have all given up on this. There’s no hype anymore, no counting down the days. For who?
I'm pissed as hell. They've ruined the hangouts, the vibe, and the shows themselves.
What am I supposed to do? Jump around to the same bands I've seen a thousand times like I was seeing Nick Cave for the first time? Even the rain couldn't ruin it back then.
The last decent ones were The Prodigy and Moby; they actually surprised me even though I wasn't expecting much. It was okay, mostly just because of the people I was with. But then American Idol shows up as a headliner🤷. That’s when things started smelling rotten.
Now what? It’s such a waste because everything else was great. Huge crowds, killer atmosphere, awesome music, a sea of people flowing in by 3 or 4 in the afternoon... then they just blew the whole thing.
They might as well stop doing it altogether because compared to how it used to be, this is a joke. They're insulting the fans. And I doubt it's even about the money. There are so many bands available for cheap that this is just embarrassing. They've flushed all those years we spent building this up right down the toilet.
I'll say it again: the worst part is how they underestimate us and treat us like idiots. Either change the management and the talent buyers because they clearly have no clue what they're doing, or just cancel the whole thing. This is a farce. We could have had a festival people talked about for years, something people would travel across the country for. Coachella is trash now.
Raise the prices if you have to, but actually deliver something. Personally, I'd rather drop my cash on a three-day trip to the beach. At least it used to feel like that.
I'm fuming 🙂, and I'm still dealing with these 503 and 504 errors 🙂

Hole's early stuff
At first I thought they were just some trashy punk act riding the grunge wave, but then I actually sat down and listened... man, I was floored. One of those bands I’ll always regret not seeing live.
