I'm honestly a little nervous about our front line stability heading into camp. We have some massive talent, but if one or two key guys go down, I don't know if we have the depth to hold up. Do you guys think we're actually solid back there or just one injury away from disaster?

I’m looking to find some new people to chat with—maybe grab a coffee, a soda, or even a beer sometime... Age and gender don't matter at all to me.

It’s essentially the same thing as what you’d find at a major US chemical plant like BASF... specifically regarding Aripiprazole...
I've been taking it regularly, and honestly, I feel great. It’s funny, though—it seems like nobody really mentioned much to me about this medication beforehand...

Jason Vaughn482 said:I am attempting to taper off my Xanax very gradually because reading all this stuff absolutely terrifies me. I started at 1.5 mg daily; right now I’m hovering at 1 mg, occasionally hitting 1.25 mg. So far, it seems manageable, but I have no idea what the road ahead holds—yesterday I even managed to drop down to just 0.75 mg.
Today was infuriating. My psychotherapist completely lost my patience, though frankly, I don't get much out of therapy anyway. I sit there for twenty minutes and she starts lecturing me on sleep hygiene for the second time. Look, I know everything there is to know about sleep hygiene, but knowing doesn't make it work. I want to fall asleep by 10 PM and wake up at 7 AM, but I can't drift off before midnight, even with 10 mg of Ambien, and then I struggle to actually function until 9 or 10 in the morning. Instead, I find myself wide awake around 5 AM, just tossing and turning. To top it off, she suggested I ramp up my Mirtazapine to 30 mg, thinking that might help, but I don't dare take more than 15 mg since it hasn't done a single thing for my anxiety. It feels pointless to just dose up solely for the sake of passing out. Besides, even last night, combining 10 mg of Ambien with Mirtazapine didn't result in any decent sleep...

If you fall asleep at midnight and wake up around 9 or 10 AM, that's still about nine hours of sleep.
That's plenty of rest...
Why are you so set on that specific 10 PM to 7 AM window? You're still getting those same nine hours of sleep.🤷
The dose she recommended sounds perfectly standard.
Your hesitation seems to be coming from a different place entirely. This type of medication is meant to sedate you and manage cortisol levels, which can spike and cause stress or anxiety when they're too high.
Maybe try Googling "cortisol and bodybuilding" to see how it works...
Why not give that 30 mg a shot? What do you really have to lose...

Kevin Nguyen3 said:Side effects from medication can manifest as what we call tics—those involuntary muscle jerks. Especially given the combination of all those drugs you mentioned.
Which Seroquel are you on?☕
Those jerks might stick around for a while, or they might disappear, and there's no telling if they'll ever come back.
It would honestly be best to let your doctor know. Though, since I'm apparently on your ignore list, it would be a shame if you didn't see this.😢
Generally speaking, there are many possible causes for these so-called myoclonic jerks (uncontrolled muscle spasms), but in your case, there isn't much need for guesswork. A neurologist would definitely be able to adjust your treatment plan more effectively after running some diagnostic tests.

Kevin, you're jumping all over the place here.😁
The jerking sensations Kenneth Scott41 is describing actually happened to me when I was on Seroquel too.
Just sudden jolts in the arm, leg, or head...
And what do you mean "which Seroquel"?
They all act pretty much the same way since that's the primary active ingredient...

Zero stars from me. It didn't help me one bit, honestly. I didn't feel any effect at all, and I didn't even deal with side effects 😁.....my doctor had been telling me for months that this specific medication might be exactly what I needed. In the end, it was nothing. Just a total placebo.

But then again, everyone reacts differently, so maybe it'll work wonders for you...

wiredmason56 said:So, I had my follow-up appointment with my psychiatrist about a week ago. He ended up diagnosing me with F29 alongside the F32 I’ve been dealing with for a while now. I told him things have really taken a turn for the worse over the last few weeks—lots of paranoia and those intrusive, racing thoughts. Like, at the Whole Foods where I work, I kept getting this intense feeling that someone had hidden a camera inside a lightbulb just to film me. It happened a couple of times. Same thing with my laptop; I felt like someone was watching me through the tiny webcam while I was scrolling through Facebook. Sleep has been a total disaster too. I can’t drift off, and my head just spins with all these thoughts... 🙄 it’s honestly terrifying. And when I finally do pass out, the dreams just loop. A few times when I woke up to light a cigarette, I actually had hallucinations. I heard rustling coming from the freezer in my dresser, or felt like someone was standing right there in the room with me. Even when I close my eyes, I see these ugly, distorted, demonic faces and eyes staring from everywhere, and then I’m too scared to go back to sleep. The worst night ever was back in April of last year. I woke up in the middle of the night and checked the clock—it was exactly 3:00 AM. I got up to grab some water and light a cigarette, but when I went back to bed, I suddenly heard this horrific noise coming from inside the wall, like the whole structure was about to collapse. Images of total catastrophe, like a city in ruins, just flashed before my eyes. When I opened my closets, they seemed to be moving, and I became convinced there were dead people inside or that the wardrobe was going to leap out at me. I was completely paralyzed, just gripping the bedsheets for dear life. My heart was racing like crazy, my ears were ringing so loud, and I felt totally underwater. I was certain I was either going to die right there or end up in the ER at a psychiatric ward. Eventually, I managed to calm down after taking 2 Xanax and praying to God to help me find some peace. Things didn't settle until about 4:30, and then I finally drifted off. I’ll never forget that night. My doctor prescribed 25 mg of Brintellix to take before bed. He actually wanted to put me on Risperdal, but I feel like Brintellix is gentler and has fewer side effects, so he went with that. He thinks it'll help clear up the paranoia and help me sleep, though I’ve never really been a big fan of antipsychotics. On top of that, I’m still on 75mg of Effexor, plus Clonazepam 2mg and Lorazepam 2mg three times a day, though I mostly just take those as needed. Does anyone here know much more about what F29 actually entails?

Well, he certainly made himself clear enough, if you ask me...
"F29, he said—he has to list that specific diagnosis because of the Seroquel."
Maybe try asking Medicare why that is the case...😁

fadedbear92 said:Look, those are extended-release tablets—they're designed to work for 12 to 24 hours depending on how you take them.
There’s obviously a reason a doctor would prescribe those specifically instead of just some "standard, quick-acting" pill, right?
They’re typically used for things like Generalized Anxiety Disorder, where your body is basically stuck in a state of anxiety 24/7.

I honestly don't get why the instructions say you have to swallow the tablets whole, either.🤷
I rarely ever split mine in half...
But if one pill has 1mg of benzos, why wouldn't half of it just be 0.5mg?😁

fadedbear92 said:Honestly, this is complete nonsense—prescribing two different anxiolytics at once?! I mean, seriously... and apparently, this doctor is some kind of "expert" according to the MP3 recording.🙄

I was just looking through some MP3 files earlier and couldn't help but wonder why anyone would settle for such low quality... it's a bit disappointing when you're trying to enjoy the music properly...🙄
I actually stick to that same combination myself...
I take 1mg of extended-release Xanax first thing in the morning to keep things steady. Then, I usually follow that up with two or three 0.5mg regular tablets. The idea is that the extended-release handles the baseline, while the immediate-release ones are there for when things start to dip and I need a bit of quick relief...

Having gone through something very similar myself, I can tell you they offered me a combination too, though they presented it as a single pill—either Mirzaten or Velofax—claiming it was just a different manufacturer's version of the same thing. Apparently, this Mirzaten or Velofax is meant to be used as a direct transition from Zoloft, supposedly containing Zoloft plus something else (though I couldn't quite wrap my head around what that part was)

Where exactly is the confusion here?
Scott Alvarez22;43586244 said:

The issue might be that Venlafaxine and Mirtazapine are actually two completely distinct medications in terms of their chemical makeup, even if they both fall under the antidepressant umbrella
So, how could these two totally different drugs somehow contain Zoloft along with something else?
Do you happen to have a study or some data on this? I'm honestly really curious about how that mix-up works...

I’m having a hard time following you—you say you’re just exhausted, but you aren't actually sleeping.🤷

You took five ZzzQuil pills and still can't sleep?
Did you take the first one around 7:00 PM just to catch a quick nap before hopping online?
And then you followed it up with four more because you couldn't drift off.
That’s a big mistake right there. Chasing one pill with another... I get it, I really do, because I’ve tried that myself and it never helped me either.

Try taking a sleep aid like Melatonin or Unisom right when you’re actually ready to hit the sack. For example, aim for midnight, lie down, relax, and just wait. If you don't fall asleep immediately, please don't just keep popping them one after another.
Try sticking to that exact routine for at least five days straight. If you still find yourself staring at the ceiling even with a disciplined schedule, then maybe we can dig deeper into what's causing this insomnia...

Taking a pill early in the evening around 7:00 PM just to try and rest is honestly not a great idea.
It might be a case of chronic insomnia, but I suspect you might just be struggling a bit with staying disciplined regarding your medication schedule...

Brandon Lopez6 said:So I got prescribed Lexapro. Plan is half a pill in the morning for the first week, then moving up to a full dose...
I’m supposed to start this Tuesday, but my internal clock is a total wreck. Some days I'm rolling out of bed at noon, other days it's 3 PM 🤦
and yeah, for me, noon is basically sunrise 😁
I didn't really get a chance to ask her what the move is—like, should I set an alarm, take the pill and crash back out, or just stay up? She didn't even tell me what she was actually prescribing or when to take it, let alone mention side effects or anything.
She did suggest I go get a bunch of tests done, including a brain CT (which takes forever to schedule), and said I shouldn't come back until all that's wrapped up. That could be months, so I won't be seeing her anytime soon, plus she didn't give me her number...
So, how am I supposed to handle these antidepressants? Does it make sense to pop one and just go right back to sleep, or do I actually have to stay awake? Waking up early is honestly the worst part of my day...

Just take the antidepressant whenever you actually wake up.
Try waking up about 15 minutes earlier every day to see if you can gradually stabilize your internal clock...

Have you ever tried something like Centrum?
It really made a difference for me personally.
Maybe have a chat with your doctor about it; there are so many different combinations out there, and I’m sure they can find one that works just right for you. 🙂
.....but if things don't improve through your doctor, your family, or even by searching online... please consider heading to a crisis center in Chicago to explain what you're going through. If you aren't near the city, just go to the nearest emergency room and tell them how you feel. Believe me, someone will find a way to help you sleep...

Brandon Lopez6 said:I was wondering, assuming my doctor even brings it up—one doc asked me once, but another didn't, so I have no clue what the vibe is with my current one—is xanax SR actually better for anxiety, or should I just stick with the Helex?

From what I gather, xanax SR releases slowly over a longer stretch, which would be huge for me since I hate feeling like I have to pop pills constantly. But then again, I’m worried it might not hit hard enough when the anxiety really kicks in. Like, if a panic attack starts hitting, how am I supposed to know if I need to take another dose or if I can hold out? 🤔

Has anyone here actually used xanax SR specifically for anxiety?

Yeah, I do. I take 1mg alongside 15mg of Calixta in the morning.
It really helps me stay level. Calm. Just taking things one step at a time. It keeps me from feeling like I’ve downed a dozen Red Bulls first thing in the morning, though that isn't always the case. Sometimes life just hits all at once, and I find I need to take a standard xanax during the day to get through it...
Psychotropic medication discussion thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
It really all comes down to the individual.
To get some sleep, I take 30mg of mirtazapine, 25mg of trazodone, 5mg of melatonin, and two 0.5mg xanax pills. And then I sleep. Or, more accurately, I pass out.
I’ve also tried 200mg of Seroquel, Sanval, and Ambien. Nothing worked. It seems like anything that actually does the trick only works for a little while at the very beginning, and then it just stops...
I’ve eventually made my peace with this insomnia. You aren't going to die from it, and I can usually function for a few days without much sleep without any major issues.
The only catch is that after a few days of being awake, things start to go downhill fast... and it's just been this endless cycle for years now.
My insomnia actually started back when I was working night shifts for months on end. Ever since then, my circadian rhythm and my body's need for sleep have been completely out of whack.
At this point, I mostly just ignore it...

...I honestly have to wonder about that too. That was hands down the worst pill I’ve ever taken. I was basically out for an entire month...
They really ought to ban Sanval by law. I followed the instructions perfectly, taking it right before bed, but then I wake up to find out I actually wandered into a Shell station wearing my pajamas... there's so much more, honestly. I'm still so embarrassed thinking about those moments. I never had anything like that happen when I used Ambien.

What a psycho. I’ve got my friends and everything else; I have my pets and my inner circle.
I know that specific feeling when you wake up every single morning and tell yourself, "Ugh, just one more damn day I have to get through." And it happens every single morning.
By the end of the day, you aren't even happy about it—you're just relieved you survived that one extra day. That’s the only sense of satisfaction you get. Then, the next morning, it starts all over again.
I'm not doing great... please don't reach out to me tomorrow. But I know I'll wake up anyway... and it'll be the same thing. Over and over. Just another day.
So, where is the solution?
