I'm not sure where you saw it listed for $50, because I actually snagged mine for $30 with free shipping. If that doesn't work for you, check out eBay instead.
I picked up an AOC i2353 and honestly, I'm pretty happy with it. It’s a 23" screen with VGA, two HDMI ports, an audio jack, and built-in speakers (which aren't really worth anything, let's be real xD). It’s got a wall mount setup, LED backlighting, and an IPS panel. The menu is super fast and sleek, plus the touch buttons actually work perfectly and feel well-designed. It's only 9.2 mm thin, which is just insane...
It’s great for gaming since there's zero ghosting, and even better for movies because of that IPS matrix.
So, here’s the situation. The folks at the post office messed up again...
On Wednesday, I sent out a certified package with a COD value of $77 to a lady over in San Francisco. But then, this package (which is mine!) gets delivered right back to my doorstep, and they expect ME to pay for it (WTF?!)—even though I have the receipt proving I already sent it... What am I supposed to do with this??
brightviper13 said:Yeah, they’re absolute beasts, and man, that price tag... if you didn't get a top-tier card, you could always try MSI Afterburner. Bump the memory by 100-200 MHz and the core by maybe 100 MHz. If it doesn't overheat, you might even be able to push it further...
Got the cooler installed. I have to say, I'm pretty stoked. Under full load, even with the fans at 40%, it stays at a max of 78°C. And honestly, for a triple-fan setup, it's surprisingly quiet 😲. Definitely an absolute steal at Best Buy for this price range .
brightviper13 said:Or maybe this http://www.bestbuy.com/refrigerator-example I honestly think the first one is better. Just double-check how much noise they make on YouTube—ignore the ads, obviously—but based on what I see, the first one should be way quieter.
I checked everything out 🙂 super quiet too. While the stock cooler hits 80°C at full load, this one keeps it at 50! 👋Note: I might even try overclocking it by about 100 MHz if there's any headroom left... 😁
I was just checking this one out, and honestly, it looks pretty solid. The reviews aren't half bad either, so I think I'll just swing by Best Buy tomorrow and see how it actually performs in person...
brightviper13 said:Ah, I thought it was you, but I guess I wasn't really paying attention. This one is a bit more powerful than yours, though there isn't a massive difference between them. Looking at your specs listed below, honestly... if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't bother upgrading this rig anytime soon. I work on much weaker machines myself, so I'm not sweating it.
I was actually thinking about grabbing a new card and selling this one, but the fan is driving me crazy with the noise. Now I'm looking at the 7850, but it doesn't look like it's exactly silent either. Maybe I should just pick up an aftermarket fan or a better cooler for it? I'm just not sure if anything even exists for this specific model...🙏
brightviper13 said:Personally, I wouldn't switch to AMD if I were running an NVIDIA card like this. In my experience, pairing Intel with NVIDIA usually beats out the AMD/ATI combo, especially when it comes to GPUs. The performance gap won't be huge since they're pretty close in power. Check this out here http://www.hwcompare.com/12054/gefor...adeon-hd-7850/
And I don't see much difference either way, btw. You picked the wrong one—mine is the non-Ti version, just a standard GTX 560 😁
Looks like it's averaging about 20% faster, which isn't exactly a massive leap... honestly, I'm sitting here wondering if it's even worth picking up right now, or if I should just hold out for something beefier or wait for the prices to tank...
Hey, I'm thinking about picking up a new graphics card (HD 7850). Right now, I'm running a POV GTX 560 (non-Ti)
I have three quick questions: 1) What kind of percentage jump am I looking at with the 7850 compared to what I have now? 2) Is this actually worth the upgrade? 3) My motherboard only has a PCI-e 2.0 slot, but the 7850 uses 3.0. Will it work okay on 2.0, or is there going to be an issue?
If anyone knows of something better than the 7850 that stays in the same price range, let me know...🙂
