I was browsing through some streaming schedules earlier today and it hit me how overwhelming everything has become. It feels like every single month, there’s this massive wave of new stuff hitting the platforms—hundreds of titles, all at once, just dropped into the library.

Don't get me wrong, I love having options, but I feel like the "choice paralysis" is getting real. I spent forty minutes last night just scrolling through a list of new additions, only to end up watching a rerun of some sitcom I've already seen ten times. It feels less like curated entertainment and more like a digital warehouse where they just keep stacking boxes.

Lately, it seems like the big platforms are more focused on the sheer volume of what they can offer rather than anything actually being worth a watch. It’s like they’re trying to win a numbers game instead of actually providing a good viewing experience.

Does anyone else feel like they spend more time picking a movie than actually watching one? Or am I just getting old and cynical?

The mentioned Đ. Glogoški was always a lot calmer, I guess. Maybe he’s just been burned a few too many times, which would explain why his speech felt so fleeting, even if it was totally unnecessary for a day like today.

Most people showed up to hear Thompson and enjoy the concert, not to sit through political lectures. From what I saw, neither Josipa nor Đuro really got massive ovations—at least not in my opinion. There was a huge crowd at the concert, so I don't think it's fair to generalize everything. Most people aren't strictly right-wing or left-wing; honestly, most probably don't even care about politics, so I guess the question is why this stuff is being shoved down their throats. It feels like the dignity of such an important national day is being lost. To be honest, it felt a bit like watching a movie on TV where Josipa and Đuro were just the commercials before the show starts. 🍿 😁

Also, those folks wearing extremist hats don't even make up 0.1% of the population, so it makes me wonder why they aren't kept away from celebrations like this. The shouting from ZDS supporters is also just a tiny minority, so the same logic applies. They basically just smear the majority. I'd point to the politically neutral A. Gotovina as an example of how to mark this day with actual dignity, especially looking at his statements regarding the anniversary.

The political elites play to the crowd because they know exactly what fires people up and gets them mobilized. Selling smoke wrapped in nationalism has always been a favorite pastime for our people. And politicians? They play that game perfectly. It’s like when someone is picking your pocket and shouts, "Look, a bird!" to distract you. You naively look up because you want to see the bird, and while your head is turned, they swipe your wallet. That’s exactly how politicians use the "enemy sighting" tactic... but why is everything like this?
Because as a nation, we've lost our sense of pride and dignity, so we need the Desert Storm anniversary just to remind us what it feels like to actually love our country.
Just look at the state of our country... people are fleeing left and right because they can't secure a decent life under our flag.

Man, you should’ve mentioned that we're counting bands from the entire USA era up until now... my list would've looked totally different. But hey, it is what it is.
