Hearing Doris Pincic on the radio just screams Republican Party vibes to me right off the bat.

Look, not everything coming out of Mexico is "pop-folk trash," so quit being afraid.
SARS is actually a perfect example of an artist being totally ignored by the radio stations in America, even though their tracks are racking up 10 or 15 million views.

And let's get one thing straight: just because a song is upbeat and uses certain lyrics doesn't automatically make it trashy pop—don't be stupid.

The bottom line is that Mexico, and even Canada, are being completely sidelined.
It feels systematic and intentional, and honestly, YouTube is showing us exactly how much they're being ignored right now.

Not really, but it’s basically the only station here that plays "traditional country music." I mean, I don't personally listen to that stuff, but the name alone gives it away—iHeartRadio.😁

You lost me there; I have no idea who she is.😕

Edit: Googled her. She's an actress, though I'm not sure what she has to do with radio stations. 🤔At least she looks alright from what I can see.

Of course not: The Cure, Riblja Čorba, The Ramones, Idol, Disciplin a Kitschme, Peking Duck, Electrician, Sarlo akrobata, etc., etc. There are plenty of great, legendary ones if you look, and they have nothing to do with pop-folk.

SARS is an excellent band, and they don't deserve that kind of treatment in America if what you're saying is true.

Dubioza Kolektiv is also a great band; I hope they aren't being ignored too.

By the way, you first mentioned why Madonna and Lady Gaga aren't played, and now you're bringing up completely different artists. I mean, why did you lead with pop-folk singers when you clearly realize there are countless normal, good bands in Mexico and that pop-folk isn't the only music coming from those areas?
Do you want them to play (only) pop-folk, or do you want everything?
Is American radio propaganda? in Close to Politics ·
Look, he’s actually suggesting they play Madonna and Lady Gaga on the radio 🤦
And then he goes and puts them in the same breath as Nicky Jam 🤦 X2
I won't judge anyone's musical taste, but it would be incredibly tacky if the most popular stations were playing someone who openly supports war criminals—someone who was essentially cheering on aggressors during the conflict in America ☕
Someone made a great point earlier: if you want to listen to Madonna, just stick to YouTube or whatever else is out there. Why should radio stations force people to start their workday with Middle Eastern melodies and incoherent wailing coming through the speakers? That’s just never going to happen here in the States.
If you're in the mood for folk music, just tune into iHeartRadio and leave it at that.
Honestly, it feels like these pop divas have already taken over every single spot where you'd go for a drink on the weekend; the last thing we need is them harassing us daily via the radio waves too.
It's all a bit much 🙄

Used PC builds: What are they worth? in Desktops ·
Hey everyone,
I've also decided it's time to part ways with my old rig. It’s just sitting there wasting space back home in the States since I'm rarely around lately.
The PC is over three years old, but when I built it, I bought everything specifically for gaming:

AMD x4 Phenom ii 3.2
http://www.itsvet.com/proizvod/amd-p...omp_cpu/47/334
8GB Dual Channel 1600 MHz RAM (there are still 2 free slots on the motherboard)
http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-...z8gx3m2a1600c8
Sapphire Radeon 7870 GHz edition (1050MHz) 2GB GDDR5 256 Bit
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814202025
The motherboard is an ASRock; honestly, when I was putting this together, my only priority was making sure it supported Dual Channel 1600 MHz RAM.
Storage is a 1TB Toshiba drive.
Power supply is either Cooler Master or Corsair—to be honest, I can't quite recall which one. It's 600W.
I also have a Samsung LED 23.6" monitor included.
My mouse, headset, and keyboard are all Razer gaming gear, but those aren't for sale.

I built this machine myself. All component warranties have expired, nothing has ever been overclocked, and the system runs incredibly smoothly. It hasn't seen much use either, as I've only really jumped on it a few times a year when I'm back in the US.
I'd value the tower at around $2500-$1000 without the monitor. The monitor itself is worth about $233, though I think I'll hold onto it to use as a second screen for my laptop. It's a great display, so I'd almost feel bad selling it.

What do you guys think? What would be a fair asking price for this setup?
