Thoughts on the 2015 Steve Jobs movie? in Movies ·
Caught a movie at the theater yesterday.

Still processing my thoughts on it. The film is pretty uneven and definitely stirs up some controversy. For the most part, it focuses on the psychological profile and those internal struggles—the drives and motivations—of Steve Jobs himself.

My rating so far is a 3/4.

I seriously need to start doing something, because—honestly—work is the only thing keeping me afloat right now.

I’ve completely lost my North Star—like, I don't even know why I'm bothering to live.
I have absolutely zero direction left.
I don't even want anything anymore...
Just existing feels totally pointless.

I can tell I'm spiraling, and honestly, I feel like I'm just continuing to hit rock bottom,
and my health is taking a massive dive with every single day that passes...

I don't see any way out unless I find some kind of way to force structure into my daily routine.
Reading books, catching up on the news, or even doing crosswords—none of that does a damn thing...

....so if anyone actually wants to help, go for it, because I am completely out of ideas on how to turn my life around.
I have no clue how to get moving, other than setting an alarm to go off every N minutes just to remind me to actually do stuff.

Also, if anyone just wants to jump in and confirm that life is meaningless—hey, feel free to do that too.

The question remains: What is your actual diagnosis?

a) Mental burnout from being overworked (based on what you described, this seems unlikely),
b) A chronic surplus of free time combined with not knowing how to use it,
c) Something else?

You know your situation best, so I'd suggest trying to write down your current circumstances and their causes on paper. If you can pinpoint why this is happening, it might be easier to find a way out.
I’ve definitely found myself in this spot before, especially during those stretches when my health wasn't exactly at its best.
What worked for me was just laying everything out on paper in a schedule.
Keep it simple:
?? hours (about 1 hour): running, cycling, or just a long walk
?? hours (about 1 hour): reading a book (honestly, this is huge for me; it's how I actually unwind)
?? hours (about half an hour): studying a foreign language)
?? hours (about 15 min): some quick home workouts

I don't remember the exact timing of everything, and frankly, the specific hours don't even matter.
The results were immediate. After just a few days of sticking to it, I felt like a completely different person.

Sora, I ended up finding a more appropriate thread later on, so I'm just leaving this post here.

Anyone here interested in practicing some English conversation?
My English isn't great yet—I’m still pretty much at a beginner level.
We could chat right here on the forum, or just stick to private messages if that's easier.

I finished reading a great story yesterday: A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

Has anyone else read anything interesting lately?
