Larry Edwards3 said:Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone else has tried filing their business workspace registration through the IRS website today?
I managed to get through most of it, but once I reached the section where I have to input my operating hours, the layout seems a bit off—I can't see the full pop-up window on my screen. I went ahead and entered my schedule for Monday through Friday, but the "SUBMIT" button at the bottom is completely cut off, so I’m stuck and unable to save any of my information.
I suppose I'm just curious if this might be some kind of technical glitch on their end, or if maybe I'm just missing something obvious?
Same here. I’ve filled out everything except the work hours part.
Medicare told us they’re actually aware of the issue. Apparently, there's some glitch they haven't patched yet, so not everyone can even log in to the portal. First, they told us we had to clear our security certificates, then they suggested we go down to the local Medicare office to request a physical card and a hardware token. Our local branch? They didn't have a clue what we were talking about... Luckily, I don't have to deal with constant check-ins and check-outs since most of that goes through the FDA.
Are we still sending the tax attachments along with the VAT filing as PDFs like we used to, or do I need to scan and sign everything manually just like we do for the IRS?

What’s the move when it keeps telling me my PIN is wrong or my card expired? Everything else works fine, it's just this Medicare site. I can't even get past the login screen.🙂
I really need some help here. I’m having a nightmare trying to log into my online health portal. I actually called Medicare about it, and they told me I have to delete my digital certificate. The thing is, the one I’ve got is still valid and everything else on my computer is working perfectly fine. I honestly don't get what I'm supposed to be deleting. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of headache before?

So, what’s the game plan for handling this stuff at Silicon Valley: 1. Changes to the tax compliance law: They're rolling out new requirements for how businesses report their physical locations, plus we have to hand over details about who actually makes and maintains our software.
2. Heads up—starting January 9th, fiscalization won't run on anything older than Windows 7. I'm currently running Windows 10. Do I need to install anything else to stay compliant?
We just received an invoice from a vendor over in Germany for a web application subscription, and it’s marked with a reverse charge note. Since this is my first time dealing with an international vendor and the whole tax liability transfer process, I was hoping someone with more experience could point me in the right direction. Specifically, what exchange rate should I be using when I record the service amount for sales tax purposes and when filling out the tax forms? Should I be using the mid-market rate from the Federal Reserve on the date of the invoice, or is there another standard? Thanks in advance. Best regards,
They’re hitting me with interest charges dating all the way back to January 2016 for the tourism tax. I submitted my paperwork to City Hall and paid off the difference on April 30th without any issues. So why on earth am I being charged interest starting from January when we didn't even know what the new monthly rate was going to be back then? Is this just some massive clerical error on their end, or is everyone else dealing with this too?
Back in 2016, they were booking liabilities for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce dated December 2015. Seems like a bit of a mess to me, since they were already recording those same December 2015 liabilities during the 2015 fiscal year too. How are you guys handling your coding?
Does an LLC send the DI form along with the PD form? I was under the impression that only sole proprietors have to deal with that when filing with HHS.
I need some help here. This is my first time handling an invoice for a business over in Austria. I’m using QuickBooks to get everything set up, but I'm stuck on what to put for the FOB and the delivery point. The customer is buying directly from our shop and picking it up themselves to drive it over to Austria. Which code should I be using?
Steven Anderson14 said:So, I just got the green light from my supplier over in the European Union, dated July 13th. Since this was part of a three-way deal, everything was already logged under July. Now I’m stuck wondering—do I actually need to go back and fix the forms for July? II 13 -amount III 13 -amount VIII 6 -amount Does this look right to you guys?
Actually, I'll just answer my own question, maybe someone else is stuck on this too.😉 The folks at the IRS told me that since three-way deals don't show up on the standard VAT return, I should just include the approval in the next filing (October). No need to mess with the July paperwork.

Patrick Peterson49 said:Can someone just double-check if I’ve actually got this three-way deal straight? A - Poland, B - Canada, and C - USA
Company A delivers the goods to C, but sends the invoice to B Then B invoices C for those goods
Since I'm at the end of the chain, I'd be putting this in my sales tax return under Section II.13—received goods and services from non-resident taxpayers at the 25% rate—Section III.13 for input tax from non-residents at 25%, and Section VIII.6 for goods received from the USA as part of a three-way transaction
I'm assuming I don't list this on the standard sales tax form... but since the inventory is physically hitting the US, I guess it counts as an interstate move... right?
Thanks!
I dealt with the exact same thing last month and everything went fine. Just like you laid it out.
Steven Anderson14 said:Just to add more context: the supplier is actually registered for VAT in Canada. So, we've got an invoice from Mexico featuring a Canadian VAT number (which I double-checked in the VAT Information Exchange System), and a CMR from the Czech Republic. Is this just a standard purchase, or are we looking at a triangular transaction?
Bingo!!!!! It’s a triangular deal—check sections 13, 13, and 6 of Part VIII. 🎉
