Quick question. My psychiatrist prescribed me Normabagel 10 mg a few months ago, saying I could take one or two tablets a day. For me, two isn't even enough—sometimes I need more. But my doctor insists on just one, so I’m only getting one box a month. She claims it’s not good for someone my age to be taking higher doses, but honestly, I just need them. Some days I don't take anything at all, and other days I end up taking five. How on earth am I supposed to prove to her that I actually NEED them? I’m not asking for fifteen boxes a month 😁 I just want two, so I can take 2 tablets a day.
frozenorca63 said:I actually take the generic version, Elicea, and honestly, it’s been a total game changer for me. I finally feel like myself again without all those crazy panic attacks and anxiety hanging over my head. I think the brand-name stuff costs money, but you can usually get the generic for free through insurance.
Yeah, it definitely isn't free. It's going to run me about $15 or so out of pocket. Way too much.
Quick question for you all. 🙂 My psychiatrist put me on Lexapro today (along with all my other drugs 😁), and I was wondering if it's something I can just pick up at the pharmacy along with everything else? What has your experience been like with it? 🙂
So, I have a question for those of you who’ve been through this before. I'm currently juggling quite the cocktail of psych meds—Calixta, Arvind, Prazine, Seroquel, Eglonyl, and Normabel—and I just added Seroquel to the mix about four days ago. Today, I was at my university lecture supposed to read and present a paper, and I honestly couldn't get through a single coherent sentence. I was tripping over my words constantly, and the whole day just felt like I was walking through a fog... totally disoriented. Now I'm wondering, is this just the Seroquel talking, or is it some weird interaction from the whole combination? And will this feeling actually go away, or am I stuck like this? I feel like it's probably too early to go running to my psychiatrist to ask for a switch since the Seroquel hasn't even really kicked in yet. Does anyone have any advice, or even just some insight? Help me out... 😁
Has anyone here actually dealt with Leponex before? My psychiatrist just put me on it today, and honestly, I’ve never even heard of it. If anyone has some firsthand experience, I’d love to hear it—just trying to get a rough idea of what I'm getting into... 😁
Jason Vaughn482 said:Hmm, thanks for the insight... the side effects aren't exactly catastrophic, but I feel like a shell of myself. I’m constantly drifting in and out of sleep, and while anxiety has always been my primary demon rather than depression, this medication has pushed me straight into a depressive slump. I think I'm going to call it quits on these.
Don't just quit on your own. Talk to your psychiatrist first; it’s probably smarter than that... 😉
Jason Vaughn482 said:I’ve been on Zoloft for about ten days now at a 25 mg dosage, and if I’m being perfectly honest, I feel significantly worse than I did before I even started this regimen. It’s as though the fog has thickened rather than lifted. What am I supposed to expect when I eventually transition up to 50 mg? At the moment, it feels like I’m sinking deeper into a depressive state; there is absolutely no motivation left in my system, and my only true desire is to remain tucked under the covers all day long... hm, I simply don't know.
I was on Prozac too. They were my very first antidepressants and they didn't help me at all—if anything, I felt exactly like you do. I stayed on them for a month or two, then tapered off without any issues and moved on to something else (can't remember the exact name)...
fadedbear92 said:I really only need about 30-40 mg of Ambien to feel anything—truth be told, I shouldn't even be taking it—but the Prozac makes it incredibly hard to actually wake up in the morning. I'll probably have to go back to just using that, because needing this much Ambien just isn't right.😲😲😲
Can Prazina knock me out on its own if I don't have any Sanval left? What kind of dose would we be talking about?
Anthony Lopez8 said:The standard ceiling for anxiety is 4mg daily, though for panic disorders, it can go up to 10mg. Honestly, you shouldn't be pushing past those limits. Of course, there's always the possibility that you could take a much higher dose without any immediate, visible fallout—aside from the fact that you'll likely just pass out and lose all memory of what happened while the drug was active—but isn't that just playing Russian roulette with your health?
It's 34, if my math isn't totally off. I was already on the heavier side before starting the Zyprexa, but honestly, this is just getting ridiculous. And the worst part? I'm still gaining weight...
I honestly didn't believe the warnings about how much weight Zyprexa can cause you to put on. Then my doctor put me on it, and sure enough, I’m up 65 pounds in just a few months. The weird part is, the medication itself actually works... So, does it even make sense to ask my doctor to switch things up just because of the weight gain?
I’m currently juggling five different medications, and honestly, I’m starting to wonder if my brain even understands how they’re all interacting... I’ve read somewhere that certain psych meds shouldn't be mixed, yet my doctor keeps tossing new ones into the rotation.
I just started taking Callista. What has your experience been like with this one?
fadedbear92 said:It is primarily used to treat moderate to severe anxiety disorders (e.g., social anxiety disorder) and panic attacks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alprazolam
What are you taking, Xanax?
Are you seeing a shrink? They're the only ones qualified to figure out the right meds and therapy for you... don't expect people on a forum to step up and take on that kind of responsibility or give you medical advice!!!🙂
Just found your post:
Go talk to your psychiatrist about adjusting or changing your prescription! You really don't have any other choice—messing around with brain chemistry on your own is dangerous!
I'm taking Misar SR, the extended-release version. My Psihićka told me it was the best move, even if she completely ignores my whining that it isn't working...
Anthony Lopez8 said:Three milligrams would knock an average person without a developed tolerance to benzodiazepines into a full-day coma. 😁 If you haven't been taking them for years, isn't it somewhat unusual that such a dose fails to provide any relief? The maximum recommended daily dosage is typically around 5-6 mg. One really shouldn't venture beyond that limit. Besides, if your primary issue is insomnia, you should keep in mind that there are specific sleep aids available—which Alprazolam is not designed to be.
It's not even really about insomnia; I sleep fine at night. It's just that nothing seems to actually calm me down during the day... not even those 3 mg.
I actually have a bit of a technical question. What’s the absolute ceiling on milligrams of benzodiazepines (Alprazolam) I can take at once to get maximum sedation and finally pass out? I tried 3 mg, but it didn't really do the trick...
fadedbear92 said:That's exactly what I was thinking—you aren't doing actual psychotherapy, and since your shrink clearly isn't a therapist, you aren't seeing any progress... look, I have to be honest with you, you're just spinning your wheels. TBL really needs to be paired with psychotherapy; without it, you're getting almost nothing, unfortunately...
Thanks for the advice. I’ll look into starting therapy once I head off to college in Washington, D.C. There aren't many good options where I live right now.
I take 2.5 mg of Ciplo in the evening. Pretty sure that's the lowest dose available. And yeah, I'm on Arvind as a stabilizer. My therapy sessions are just once every two weeks, and honestly, they're nothing more than basic small talk. Nothing actually helps...
I felt a bit silly starting a new thread, but I figured my situation might fit in here too. To be blunt, I’m terrified of Life, but at the same time, I’m terrified of death. I dread the future—mostly because I just can't see the point of any of this. I've attempted suicide a few times, but then I realized I was actually scared of dying... so now I'm stuck. Currently, I'm living on a cocktail of meds—Cymbalta, Misar, Olanzapine, and Arvind—but even with all that, the sense of purpose is still missing. It feels like I'm trapped in a void with nowhere to go. Does anyone have any advice or personal experience on how to actually find some kind of meaning? I see my psychiatrist regularly, but honestly, it doesn't seem to be doing much...
