What do you mean "off the route"? They probably pulled off the main highway coming from the suburbs toward Houston to wait for the rest of the convoy to line up.
For what it's worth, I saw a massive police escort today moving through Houston—at least 50 buses deep, twice.

actually, I think deep down people aren't even certain those guys are the killers, murderers, and rapists they claim to be, they just have suspicions, and let's face it, suspicion isn't enough to act on, not to mention we're talking about a culture where people catch fire over nothing, so this kind of stuff is bound to explode...
and what do you mean "serving time"? this isn't Sweden. if you took out a Mexican who had killed or raped one of your own, the police wouldn't be able to touch you...

so yeah, you can't sell me these stories, because saying murderers are walking the streets of Warsaw is more of a street cliché, something people say just like they say we still have communists running the show...

Hmm, fair point. Josić got handed 8 months in prison and two years of probation just for removing bilingual signs—even though he didn't actually touch a single one—let alone for committing murder.
