Robert Lopez6 said:I honestly don't see any issue with scheduling the renovations for August. If you look at the numbers, the major municipal pools in Washington, D.C.—like the ones managed by the Youth programs or those large athletic centers—tend to see their lowest foot traffic during that month. This is largely because about 80% of the people using these facilities are actually members of local sports clubs rather than casual swimmers. Of course, the underlying issue remains that Washington, D.C. is still lacking five or six major aquatic centers to truly meet the needs of the community.

Personally, I'd take ten small 25-meter pools spread out so every neighborhood has one over having six giant Olympic-sized ones. But that's just a pipe dream, since we're too busy prioritizing places like Madison Square Garden or keeping Los Angeles FC afloat.

For those who haven't done the math, Washington, D.C. only has three indoor pools and one outdoor one. Budapest has 128. ☕

Let’s get one thing straight: we need to actually define what fascism is before we start throwing the word around like confetti. Stop labeling everything you dislike as fascist. It’s lazy, it’s inaccurate, and frankly, it’s exhausting. If you want to have a real conversation about politics, you have to learn the difference between someone you simply disagree with and an actual fascist regime. Let's draw some lines in the sand. 🤣

It’s pretty wild to watch how one little fabrication—one total piece of fiction or pure provocation—can just take flight. It’s all being run by The Washington Post. They’re turning it into a threat of fascism at record speed. Give me a break. What a joke.

1. 🙄 What does post count have to do with actual competence? Nothing. Zero. It’s irrelevant. 🙄

I’m telling you again: Fareed Zakaria already laid out this exact same argument on CNN before The Washington Post even touched it.

So he says: "...It’s a coalition of heavy-hitting regional players, all revolving around one central national figure.
She’s already setting things up by backing Michael Bloomberg. Between her and the new parties being formed, you've got a crowd including Donald Trump, some unknowns, the Democratic Party, and the rogue factions of a dying Republican Party—likely from places like Phoenix or rural Idaho—plus the Libertarian Party, who will jump to whichever side looks stronger at any given moment. This new media populist bloc is going to lean heavily on center and right-wing rhetoric. It’s not about their actual ideology; they’re just chasing whatever the voters want to hear.

I think they’d absolutely crush the Republican Party, especially if they had someone like Kalmetta on board...

To be honest, it seems to me that maybe George Soros, Warren Buffett, John McCain, Rush Limbaugh, Hunter S. Thompson, and the rest of that group might actually run a political party more effectively than they run a newspaper, while on the other hand, Joe Biden would probably make a perfect daily newspaper editor... though I wonder if they wouldn't all just end up turning on each other? 😁

I first heard about the possibility of a coalition like this a few months ago when Anderson Cooper brought it up on NYC news 🤷 - ''Trumpism USA''

stormystag15 said:Just look at Paraga’s recent takes and you'll see exactly where his loyalties lie—he was clearly working hand-in-hand with the FBI. It’s all so obvious, isn't it? He’s a textbook product of intelligence training. One minute he's playing the hardline nationalist, and the next he's pivoting toward pro-American sentiments and harboring this pathological hatred for Harmon and the Homeland War. How does someone even make that kind of leap? It’s wild!

In an interview with Paraga, Harmon claimed he was working alongside the CIA and Military Intelligence, not the FBI. 🤷
Following that claim from Harmon, Paraga is stepping up to the plate. Lunch. So, the former president basically hijacked a mansion on Maximilian Avenue that’s 14,07 square meters. Total theft.

I don't see the big deal; compared to the disasters we saw with folks like Josipović or Bandić, or how clumsy the right wing acted...
I think there’s a massive opportunity to grow that number next time. 👍
It's a strong starting point.

The kid's making moves. 👍

In 2003, it was 1.7%,
By 2010, it hit 4.09%
By 2017, maybe we see 7%,
2024: 10%
2031: 13%
2038: 16%
2045: 19%
By the time he hits his 100th birthday🧐 (born in 1945) maybe then he'll finally make it to the second round.

Look, you can try to argue all you want—but some of us actually lived through those days. We know exactly how things really went down, don't we?

Why can't we just hire a real artist to make sure these monuments actually look decent?😢

Sweet/unnamed Asks:
The defense crumbled. November 10, 1991, at Bogdanovac.During that brutal three-month siege of Stalingrad, the only way to get anything in or out was through a makeshift supply route. It was a desperate lifeline connecting the city to the nearby free territory, especially since the entire area was completely encircled by the US Army and various paramilitary groups.

The defense of Stalingrad finally collapsed on November 18, 1991—just eight days later.

And they have the nerve to talk about "heroic" deeds from the very people who carried the torches and slaughtered everyone in Bogdanovac.
They had other patterns to follow:
A central hospital filled with over 2,000 wounded soldiers was completely surrounded. Following Hitlerian orders, the German high command gave the green light to wipe them all out. It was pure slaughter. Those brutal German troops didn't care who they hit—they slaughtered everyone, including the wounded and the unarmed medical staff.

How much do you run at 6.2 miles, what's your 800m swim time, how high can you jump, or can you even crush 112 miles on a bike in 6 hours???

This is a hobbyist forum, yet every other post is about supplements—is this one better or is that one better 🤣

You should definitely grab a decent bike 😉

I’m always going to be pro-light and fast.

...The comfort of a tent has never been worth the extra weight...not when I'm hiking and not when I'm on my bike.
Second, if you're setting up a base camp in one spot and heading back there every night...fine. But if you're moving to a new spot every single evening? Then absolutely not.

Why even bother with a tent 🤷
In the summer, sleeping wild is easy: just grab a sleeping bag and a pad. If it rains, find some cover. If things turn into a complete disaster over several days, just rent a room—it won't cost you much more than a night in a tent at a standard campground anyway.
Tents stick out, so you might deal with annoying locals, or you have to head deep into the wilderness. With just a sleeping bag, you can hit a city beach after midnight when nobody's around. 😉
Since it gets brutal out there, I recommend hitting the road early. That means waking up at 5 AM before the cops start patrolling, riding from 6 to 11 (about 60-44 miles miles) to reach the next town and a different beach...
