quiettrucker12 said:The S&P 500 is down 1%, while the silver mining sector stocks are up over 5%. These miners are ridiculously undervalued right now—it feels just like when gold was sitting at $700 back in 2006. I honestly think this massive surge in miners will be what carries the bull market forward. If we follow the pattern, they could potentially pull a 5x gain before the bull run ends sometime in 2014. Just a reminder: between October 2008 and September 2011, they saw a 3.7x increase.

Is this basically your roadmap for where we're headed through the end of 2014 or 2015?

Looks like we’re getting fresh signals about a potential QE3 coming our way—with things starting to stall out over in Europe and all that other mess..

I noticed Palpatine has been making some moves regarding gold lately, so...🙂

Man, if you wait just a little bit longer, those miners are gonna be handing themselves out for free LOL
The way this is playing out is honestly terrifying

Whatever. We'll see. The miners absolutely crushed it, and the American Bankers Association hit support at 375 yesterday.

George Soros is full of it. You can't just grab a random few weeks of data, pick whatever timeframe suits your mood, and then act like you've cracked the code on long-term trends. It’s total nonsense.

Look, I get it, 🙂

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/jim-ro...143644165.html

Here's the kicker:

Back when crude was sitting at $107 a barrel just a few weeks back, and gold was around $1650, one barrel of oil would've grabbed you 2 grams of gold. Fast forward to now—oil's down to $94 and gold's at $1550—and suddenly a barrel of oil only gets you 1.9 grams. Basically, if you were holding gold, your purchasing power jumped by 5% against oil over the last few weeks. George Soros

P.S. Looking at today's numbers, it's actually down to 1.87 grams.

I'm just as lost as you are! 😉

And then you’ve got the folks out there buying like total idiots. And we’re talking about George Soros here, for crying out loud.

German gold...

This one guy, Latvijac—who's a total amateur, by the way—has actually been a killer forecaster (at least up to this point). For instance, he's calling for gold to trade between $1575 and $1765 leading up to the U.S. elections. Then, once the dust settles from the election, he’s predicting a massive surge toward $3000 by January 2013. On top of that, he thinks silver is going to start its big expansion run in the second half of May and hit $70 by year-end. I'm dropping a link to his charts here http://www.tfmetalsreport.com/forum/2814/ivars-charts. The guy's name is Ivars, and honestly, you should definitely check out his charts and dig into his logic/analysis.

Ivars. I’ve got his charts right here.

placidlynx43 said:Personally, I’ve become incredibly pessimistic regarding miners. The cartel has an endless supply of naked shorting at their disposal, and they aren't going to stop until the entire sector is absolutely gutted. Sinclair has pointed out multiple times that only the miners with actual "minable ounces in the ground" are going to survive and grow. I don't know how many of you guys follow Ranting Andy? I started following him just over a year ago, and honestly, I consider him the top authority when it comes to dissecting cartel manipulation. http://blog.milesfranklin.com/catego...andrew-hoffman
Andy breaks down the exact algorithms the cartel uses to rig the game. He was actually the first one to pinpoint those specific windows when the cartel launches its DAILY (Mon-Fri) attacks: 09:00, 14:20, and 18:00. I'm talking Eastern Time, obviously.

I read one of his pieces on manipulation a few months back. To be fair, seeing those mathematical formulas the cartel uses felt a little "freaky." But hey, who knows? Maybe he’s onto something.

Yields tanking below 1.8%

http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/USGG10YR:IND

Some people were out here warning us—saying if things dipped under 1.8%, we’d be looking at absolute chaos. "🤷total meltdown,">>
they called it.

placidlynx43 said:Sinclair claimed the floor was at 1632. He missed. It’s pretty damn rare for Sinclair to be off his mark—the guy basically lives on "inside" intel—so when he misses, you know things are getting ugly. It looks like the cartel is going all out, using every bit of artillery they have (both seen and unseen) just to take down the PMs. I’m with the idea that we could see a dip below $1550, but honestly? I think some version of QE3 is hitting the fan very soon. Which means we’re looking at gold hitting 2111 by the end of the year. That's both Sinclair's take and mine.

Look, I'm not sweating the bull market one bit. As long as the Federal Reserve keeps interest rates pinned down, as long as debt keeps climbing (even if it's slowing, it's still growing), and as long as they keep printing money...
The Euro is basically held together by duct tape at this point—we'll see how it plays out.
QE3 is a mathematical certainty; the only real question is how much it’s going to mess with the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

quiettrucker12 said:That would mean USD EUR dropping below 1.2865. A long shot, but hey, anything can happen. We'll see...

Just keeping an eye on how things are playing out today. Everything over here feels totally dead 😍
with the IBEX down 3%, Spanish 10-year yields hitting 6.35%, and Greece sitting at a massive 27.5%. It’s looking pretty rough for the Euro. Let's see how the US market opening shakes things up.

quiettrucker12 said:Donald Trump just cut mandatory bank reserves... gold shorting is at its lowest level since the start of 2009... there's a massive chance we hit the bottom this past Friday at $1574.

Personally, I'm calling it now—the floor is going to be way lower than $1550. We'll see how it plays out.

So we're looking at deflation right before the inflation hits? Great.

we might finally have a candidate for leaving the Eurozone

Personally, I think it’s heading even lower later this afternoon.

Charles Campbell7 said:If gold ever dips down to $1,600 an ounce, I’m heading straight to the store to grab a few small bars...

By the way, looking at the Federal Reserve's trajectory, they're sitting at near-zero rates through 2015. On top of that, they'll likely be pumping even more liquidity into the system via T-bills just to cover Medicare costs, student loan restructuring, and that massive welfare spending... not to mention we have elections coming up at the end of the year.

So, yeah, the money printing isn't going to stop anytime soon. Gold seems to be tracking the M2 money supply pretty closely, which makes it a decent hedge if you're just trying to preserve your purchasing power, but I don't suppose there's much actual profit to be made here.

Actually, once we hit the absolute peak of the bull market, there’s definitely money to be made. You just have to know when to bail😍

$3,800 per kilo? You mean $3,800 per ounce!

Walter Barrett8 said:You could argue that gold looks pricey when you weigh it against stagnant—or even shrinking—wages and rising unemployment rates, but it’s actually dirt cheap if you look at it relative to the sheer volume of newly minted money
that hasn't even been fully multiplied through the commercial banking system yet...

p.s. what kind of logic could possibly justify a drop in precious metal prices if we see a collapse in Spain, which would essentially trigger massive risk across the entire European Union?

A stronger dollar usually means gold prices slide. But that’s all contingent on the condition mentioned by our buddy zvrk—basically, whether Ben decides to offset that. I've been digging into the various scenarios regarding the total collapse (or survival) of the Euro, and honestly...
we'll just have to wait and see how this plays out.
