Maybe we’re just using the same word to mean two totally different things.
If you think you "understand" reality, aren't you basically just stripping it down and losing what makes it real in the first place?
I'm not trying to start a fight here, I'm just pointing out how words can trap you.
I hit this limit once where the whole world—myself included—just got swept away like dust in a storm. All I had left was enough self-awareness to make sure I didn't completely vanish.
I stared into this massive void of everything and nothing all at once, and honestly? I was terrified, so I just laughed at how absurdly huge it was
compared to the tiny, insignificant little world we live in.
It happened during one of those out-of-body experiences—it hit me while I was wide awake. Suddenly, the world and I were just gone, blown away by the wind, which totally freaked me out.
I had to slam it into four-wheel drive immediately just to try and pull myself back into reality. I have never been so stunned in my entire life.
I once crossed a threshold where both the entire world and my own sense of self were swept away by the wind. All I had left was enough self-awareness to ensure I wasn't completely lost or erased.
I gazed into the vast abyss of everything and nothing all at once, and I found myself laughing nervously at the sheer absurdity of that infinite expanse
compared to the tiny, finite world we think we know.
It happened during something akin to an out-of-body experience. It hit me while I was wide awake! To my absolute shock, the world and I just vanished—blown away by the wind.
I immediately slammed it into four-wheel drive just to try and steer my way back to reality. I have never been so startled in my life!
Carol Brown77 said:"When a woman experiences her monthly cycle, she should remain in her state of impurity for seven days;
anyone who touches her will be considered unclean until evening. Anything she lies upon during her impurity becomes unclean, and anything she sits upon becomes unclean.
Whoever touches her bedding must wash their clothes and bathe in water, remaining unclean until the evening." This is what is written in Leviticus.
And then there's all the rest... just constant talk about being "unclean" this and "unclean" that...
But I suppose, considering when these rules were first established, there weren't exactly medical textbooks or teen magazines 🙂 available to explain that menstruation is simply a normal, natural biological process. It seems a bit silly to label it as "unclean" or a sickness, but I guess it's somewhat understandable why they would write such nonsense back then...
The only sad thing is that even today, some people still try to justify these absurdities or push insecurities onto women regarding their own bodies...
Bradley Davis33 said:Look... every woman deals with her period differently, but honestly, trying to perform Salah (Islamic prayer) would be pure torture for me, especially during those first two days...
And Salah isn't the only way to pray, right?
I'm pretty sure the Quran doesn't actually define menstruation as "unclean," just more like an inconvenience... and let's be real, it is! Those hormone swings causing emotional sensitivity are a total drag, and don't even get me started on cramps—I wouldn't sign up for that if I could help it...
Amanda Walker said:You’ve definitely got a point there, but man, I’m really struggling with how you used the word God in that sentence. 🙂
Does it seriously have to be God?
Look, I’ve got nothing against God, but it just feels totally out of place here.
It feels like we’re never actually going to figure out what we are, where we came from, or how we even got here.
Maybe one day we'll finally have an epiphany about our existence... but by the time we reach that kind of realization, our human brains won't be able to wrap themselves around it, so we'll still be left in the dark.
Maybe we will eventually realize our true nature... but by the time we reach that level of understanding, logic won't be able to follow us, so we still won't get it.
| Just a quick interruption here: honestly, wading through all this mental garbage is making me feel absolutely revolted. It’s such a bad feeling. |
