Navicular bone fracture in Health ·
Here’s my experience: After the fall, I didn't sleep a wink all night. When I showed up at the ER the next morning, the surgeon told me nothing was broken—but they decided to put me in a splint for seven days just to be safe. At the follow-up a week later, the doctor looked at a new X-ray and confirmed it was actually a navicular fracture. I ended up in a cast that went all the way up to my elbow, immobilizing my thumb and index finger too. They also prescribed magnet therapy alongside everything else to speed up the healing process. After five weeks and one day—which brings the total immobilization to 43 days—the X-rays look good, and the cast finally came off.

Now comes phase two: rehab for this busted joint. It’s going to be painful, but I’m hoping for the best...

Nobody actually knows.

Everyone swore up and down that the dollar was headed for a crash—they were convinced it would drop 20-30% against the dollar, while the euro would just climb against everything else. They kept insisting the smartest move was staying in USD to catch those high interest rates.

Hey, Benjamin Rodriguez2—could you let me know how much you were putting into that mini savings plan and what kind of credit limit you ended up getting?

Bankei said:Let me give you a real-world example from my own experience—after spending two years tucking money away into a housing savings account at Wells Fargo with a measly 1% interest rate (on top of what the Democratic Party provides), I ended up taking out a mortgage with them at a fixed 3% rate. My savings covered about 30% of the total amount—meaning the loan itself was twice that size.

@ Bankei

Come on, don't talk nonsense. You didn't actually land a 3% mortgage; what you got was bridge financing—and if you've only put down 30% of your own cash, that effectively pushes your interest rate closer to 5.5%. The idea that our local banks would offer those rates while operating at a loss is unrealistic—it's a completely different story when you look at how other major US banks operate. Honestly, the government should just insist that banks offer decent interest rates on housing savings—around 4-5%—rather than a pathetic 2% if they expect the state to subsidize those savings.

For anyone thinking about buying a home in a year or two—I don't see it as a bad move at all. When you factor in the lack of entry fees, plus the tax benefits and the overall yield—it starts looking a lot like a high-yield CD. Plus, there's a massive advantage to locking in a fixed mortgage rate around 4%.

Right now, playing the asset management side is a solid play—much like finding a way to lock in an interest rate over 6% on a Euro-denominated savings account.

Is Windows 7 actually going to run properly? Or am I just signing up for a headache—dealing with endless driver hunts and programs refusing to open—when I could just stick with Windows XP? It looks much nicer and more modern, though...

I haven't actually used Goldman Sachs for bill payments yet, so I’m curious about something:

I want to pay my father's tax refund—well, more like his tax debt—from my own account. My concern is how the IRS will know who actually sent the money if I pay from my account, since there isn't a clear way to list the payer or their specific details during the process.

How secure is this bank, really—I mean, specifically regarding savings? Does the government guarantee deposits in institutions that aren't part of those major established associations?

Alright, thanks. I’ll do some more digging—planning to head out and buy everything this Monday. Honestly, though, I had no idea the selection for speakers was this thin. Plus, they seem pretty overpriced compared to other computer gear.

And what about

Look, money isn't exactly a huge hurdle here—but I’m certainly not looking to just throw cash down the drain for speakers (let's cap it at $400 max $167).

A buddy of mine picked up a pair for around $200 last year, and honestly, they work perfectly fine.

I wouldn't call myself an audiophile or anything. I just want to be able to listen to some music or watch a movie without it sounding terrible. The first ones I mentioned caught my eye because they actually look great—whereas those ones you suggested? They look dated, like they haven't been updated since the early 2000s.

The ones from that other post looked promising

My only hesitation is that the satellite speakers seem a bit oversized.

Quick question: is there actually a massive difference in sound quality between a 2.0 setup and a 2.1 system?

So, I’m in the market for some new speakers—I’ve got my eye on these based purely on aesthetics:

The catch is the user reviews aren't exactly glowing—apparently, the subwoofer is pretty weak. On the other hand, these look like they might be a step up:

Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of the look, plus they carry a higher price tag. Since I don't plan on cranking the volume too high anyway—mostly out of respect for my neighbors—the first pair might actually be the smarter move.

A buddy of mine has some older Creative Technology gear that sounds fantastic, and looking at this brand, these don't seem half bad either:

I’m just not sure if Creative Technology speakers generally outperform Logitech or maybe even something like Logitech.

What should I go with?

Which monitor should I go with?
The T200, the 2033sw, the Samsung LCD, or maybe a fourth option altogether?

I'm looking at getting something around 20"—is there actually a noticeable difference in image quality between a 20" and a 22" screen? Honestly, I'm worried a 22" might feel a bit too massive for my setup.
