Hey there. We run a small business, and we’ve already hit a 45% tax rate in just the first half of the year. We've been kicking around the idea of incorporating as an LLC for a while now, but there's a catch: most of our clients are slow payers. Waiting on those invoices makes covering sales tax payments a massive headache. Is it legally viable for one person to maintain both a sole proprietorship and an LLC simultaneously? Specifically, could we issue invoices for the slow-paying accounts through the LLC—where we'd move our current employees over—while keeping the steady, reliable billing under the sole proprietorship?
It’s driving me absolutely insane that my partner's family has already announced they're coming right after the baby arrives (though, honestly, there's no guarantee I'll even be in labor by then). I have no idea how I'm going to feel or what I'll be able to handle, yet they couldn't find it in themselves to push their trip to the States back until Christmas. I tried to tell them, but suddenly I'm the villain. Oh my God🙄
Goldman Sachs in San Diego is taking a massive hit It’s just reckless behavior. Look, I don't need to be dragged into their business—it’s not like I’m pregnant or anything—but there comes a point where you shouldn't spend ten minutes on a private call discussing what someone's making for dinner while I'm still sitting here waiting for 🙂🙂 . I can't wait until I'm back at my desk so I can finally switch banks.

Scene 1: Random Guy: "So, when's the big day?" Me: "November 10th." Random Guy: "Oh man, that’s a Scorpio... uhh... maybe you should try to push it back so it's a Sagittarius instead." WTF?
Scene 2: (My friend's mom) Her: "Oh my goodness, you look like you're about to pop!" Me: 🙄 Her: "How much longer?" Me: "6 weeks." Her: "Gosh, I just hope you can make it through two more weeks so you hit the third trimester and can finally catch your breath. Is it a girl or a boy?" Me: "Nope..." It's Johnny 😍 Her: "Aw, it's such a shame it's not a girl, especially since he already has a sonb> (yeah, he has a son from a previous marriage)... 😲 And oh my gosh, how many times have I heard variations of that exact same thing... "Oh, another little boy..." "Ah, it would've been better if it were a girl since he already has a son..." I mean, seriously... so what if he already has a son? So what, he gets to have another one too! ☕ Besides, this is my very first baby... 😍 Honestly, everyone needs to just get off my back (as Tony would say) 🤣
And as far as shopping for clothes and gear goes... honestly, I would have loved to start buying everything the second I found out I was pregnant, but hey, who am I kidding, nobody's letting me do anything! 🤣
Exactly 😂😂 When the deadline hits, what on earth are they talking about with this Scorpio nonsense?! My response is simple—who cares? Let them deal with it! Seriously, enough with the Scorpio thing... it’s getting on my nerves. Then they start trying to figure out which of their acquaintances fits the Scorpio profile and the speculation begins... As if I actually give a damn.☕

Honestly—between being unable to bend over properly, the constant pinching, and feeling like I can't even catch my breath—it's just a disaster. One leg gets stuck, then the other starts bunching up, and suddenly everything is a mess. Wouldn't the simplest, most efficient solution be to just "NOT WEAR THEM" at all?🤷😂
I didn't bother wearing any around the house all summer😁 but I finally started again because I ended up with a bladder infection last week, so...

Honestly, my pregnancy hormones protect me from that—even from social anxiety, panic attacks, or those daily tension headaches that have me sobbing for days. There’s no weakness here, no shakes, no chronic exhaustion... sometimes things sting, sometimes I cry, but this period is honestly a trillion times better than not being pregnant. I'm home, relaxing, staying away from that job that was destroying my mental health. I only hang out with people I love, watch good movies or series, just total relaxation, and my husband is always taking care of me... how could it be any better? I'd stay pregnant forever if I could!😍😍😍
I happen to be prone to depression too, unfortunately... are you taking anything right now? My doctor prescribed some Ativan, but I'm a little hesitant to take it. She mentioned it’s more for managing the stomach pains and physical symptoms since it doesn't do much for the mental side of things.😕😕
It looks like you're going to have plenty of kids, huh?😍😍
Pregnancy Depression I’ve been stuck in this loop all day😢—one minute I’m on the verge of tears, the next I feel absolutely nothing, and then I just want to bolt because everywhere I go feels incredibly draining. It’s just exhausting, honestly.
Dana Miller2 said:Honestly, all this bending over is driving me insane. Stuff keeps sliding under the furniture, and I just wave my hand at it like, whatever, I’ll grab it once I actually have a kid on my hands...😬 The worst part is my fingers feel like total sausages lately, so everything just slips right out of my grip.😢 God, if I could just bend over or squat without feeling like I'm breaking, I probably would've been pregnant for a hundred years by now.😁
Bending over? Absolute nightmare. The other day a pen rolled away, and since I was having one of those classic pregnancy meltdowns, 🙄 I just kicked the door to the storage closet open and sent it flying across the living room floor.😂It’s wild how much this whole situation changes your personality.
Getting in and out of the bathtub—especially in this apartment where the layout feels like a weird mezzanine loft—is becoming a legitimate obstacle course. I thought about getting a little step stool, but honestly, I’d probably just end up breaking an ankle.
This whole sleep thing is driving me absolutely insane. Honestly, I haven't had a decent night's rest since I found out I was pregnant, so hearing this nonsense just makes my blood boil.🙂 It’s almost as if I wouldn't be able to sleep through the labor and then suddenly wake up ready to give birth.
northerntiger9 said:Do they actually let you cut in line? No one’s ever let me... they just stare and then turn their backs, which is awkward because I can't exactly push through without the whole line having to move first anyway.😢
At Walmart, there’s a register marked with baby strollers and wheelchairs—I assume that means "priority for moms and disabled folks." Honestly, though, I’ve yet to see that register actually open.😠
It really bugs me... I was at the doctor's office just to grab a urine sample kit, and instead of letting me skip ahead, some woman just shoved right past me without a second thought.😲
We'll see how things go when it's time for my blood donation at the local hospital... since I'm a regular donor, the nurses already told me to just check in with them directly and that I have absolute priority. We'll see about that.😬
And all that "you should do this, take these vitamins, try this supplement, why don't you do it this way" talk... it just goes in one ear and out the other. Ooooommmm: I refuse to let it get under my skin.😂
My first time was a complete disaster, but I’ve learned my lesson. Now, I make sure to clear my throat loud enough so that even the older folks can hear me when I say, "just a second," before I push the stroller forward to see who's actually moving and who's just standing in the way. 😂😂 Seriously, I’m only about two months along—fingers crossed—and the pain is already hitting me. I just popped into the Target over in North Hills to grab a quick cone, so I headed straight for the self-checkout lane to save some time. Honestly, I couldn't care less about the rest of the aisles. So, I'm just sitting there, waiting around for someone to actually acknowledge my existence.🙂
The only place around here with a dedicated checkout lane for pregnant women and people with disabilities is the Walmart over by the Tower, so I’m gearing up for a run to the store since my fridge is looking pretty pathetic right now. It’s honestly wild how many people crowd that specific register. Even though I’m clearly showing, they still try to push right past me—it’s like a free-for-all. Honestly, what’s the point of being cautious if people act like this? I might just grab an umbrella and start swinging it at people's ribs. God, I’m already worked up and I haven't even stepped out of my apartment yet.
Regarding blood donation—they’ve never even asked me to donate back here in San Diego because I’ve been drinking too much.🤷
fadedscout2 said:Yeah, well... you're actually still working?! 🙄 🤣🤣🤣 😉
....as if. Back when I was unemployed, I used to get comments just like this—stuff like, "Oh, you're home? Well, you could have found a job and worked properly until August." ☕
I finally called it quits this week. It's the 27th now, but honestly, seeing how people reacted at the office makes me regret not walking out the second I got my bonus. I caught an email the manager sent to corporate—he basically wrote, "I thought they'd last at least through September, but oh well." 🙂🙂 Are you kidding me? Dealing with nausea and pain while working a high-stress customer service desk? Yeah, right. I handed in my business card and left them to deal with the fallout themselves...
And what really got under my skin was that whole routine... "Are you still working? How much longer do you think you'll be at it? You need to take a break," blah, blah, blah. As if I'm not resting just fine at home. And then it's the same old story all over again: what else could she possibly be doing???!! Her???!!! 🤮
rustyrider20 said:I am absolutely drowning in questions here: What did you guys end up getting for the baby? Is everything already bought and packed? ...meanwhile, I’ve got exactly three onesies and three pairs of tiny socks to show for it. When are you all planning to actually shop? ...well, duh—why do you think that's all I have?
Last night, some guy I consider a complete moron tried to talk me into skipping the whole naming process in a truly idiotic attempt to "explain" to me why my desire to pick a perfect name for my child is pointless. His logic? Just pick anything, because he's a boy, and nobody ever calls boys by their actual names anyway—just nicknames. And get this... he thinks there's no point even trying since everyone will just call him by his last name because it's short and recognizable. ....🙄 Oh, brilliant! Why stop there, you idiot? Maybe my kid shouldn't have a name at all. What's the point?
Ha, ha... I thought the name Alegro was fantastic, but then the commentary started... "you need to pick an American name," or "what kind of nickname will she use?" blah, blah, blah. They even told me they passed on that name before. So, they went with Leona—which, let’s be honest, feels incredibly bland and hollow. Whatever. If anyone asks, I'll just tell them her name is Anna and leave it at that. She'll be called whatever I decide, period.
My recent grocery store runs have been nothing short of infuriating. I swung by Target yesterday right after work around 8:30 PM, and it was like a dam had burst; the place was absolutely swamped. To top it all off, I’m twenty-four weeks pregnant, standing there in what felt like an endless line, when some lady—the undisputed queen of entitlement—cuts right past everyone else just to hover over me and demand if I’m going to let her go ahead. As if I were in any kind of rush... she really needs to slow down and chill out. 🙂
It’s honestly driving me up the wall that I can’t—or rather, don't know how to—add a thicker font for my signature. I managed to get it working for the due date field, though. Ugh.
