Everything seems to be in order, though what really gets to me is how limited the component selection can feel here in America, as the variety just isn't what it should be... personally, I tend to stick exclusively to m-ITX builds, so here is a quick look at the surprisingly deep selection of m-ITX motherboards for the 1151 socket available over at Futura-It

Just my two cents, but sales tax has always been baked right into the prices listed on the web shop, so this seems to be a fresh change... I know everyone has their own way of looking at things, but I just wanted to broaden the perspective since there are so many different ways of doing business here in America and beyond.
Computer Universe - I've put together two separate builds from them (back in 2013 and 2017)
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 x - $159.00
MSI B450M BAZOOKA - $88.00
Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB DDR4 Kit (2x8GB) - $125.00
ZOTAC GeForce GTX1070 ti WF2 - $495.00
Samsung SSD 860 EVO SATA3 500GB - $94.00
Seasonic S12II-620 Bronze 620 Watt - $58.00
ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 33 plus - $23.00
Cooltek KX White Midi Tower - $33.00
Total - $1,075 + $40 shipping = $1,115 ($2552) via PayPal
I decided to mirror your exact build just to avoid any unnecessary debates about why I chose one part over another, though I did opt for a slightly better SSD and power supply to ensure quality, which really doesn't change the budget much at all $333... personally, I don't think getting a free assembly service at a local shop is worth it when they rush through everything and clearly have zero interest in decent cable management... as far as warranties and customer service go, I honestly don't think any single retailer in America can compete with the level of service you get from Computer Universe, unless anyone here thinks differently...
I wouldn't suggest picking up any components or peripherals here in the States right now, because honestly, current prices don't seem to have much to do with common sense, but if you were to take a look at some of those "tried and true" online retailers based in the US or even overseas like Computeruniverse, you wouldn't just find better deals, you'd actually end up saving quite a bit of money... 👍
crimsonstag84 said:Wow, you managed to pack quite a few inaccuracies into just two short lines... Honestly, the 1800X isn't the best value since you can easily overclock the cheaper models to match its clock speeds.
When we look at direct dollar comparisons here in the USA, the pricing correlates quite well (for instance, $249 for a 7600K equals roughly $700, while a Ryzen R5 1600 6C/12T at $219 is about $633)...
The stuttering issues only pop up in certain specific games, where performance ends up being on par with those entry-level locked i5 processors anyway...
Unless you're looking at an Intel Pentium G4560 or an AMD Ryzen 7 1700, investing in a whole new processor and platform feels rather awkward right now...
You're calling my points nonsense?😱 🤦 That logic only holds water if everyone intends to overclock, which certainly isn't the case for most people who might not have the hardware or the technical expertise that you possess... 🙂 If they are performing at the level of those "cheapest locked i5s," then there really isn't much point in dropping $600$233 or even more on a "newer platform," so I agree with you there... though high-end AM4 boards often feel just as underpowered, if not worse, than an Intel mid-range chipset like the B250 or H270, and I won't even get started on the Z270...🙂
🙂Oh, absolutely, but let's be real—AMD prices here in the States aren't going to match what we see overseas, especially since we can only dream about hitting those MSRPs... and even once the benchmarks finally drop, we'll probably have to wait a few months for things to cool down enough for the price gap over Intel to actually make sense, particularly if you're looking at building something similar to an Intel Core i5 Dell Inspiron Desktop setup in Rhode Island... right now, the only real value seems to be the Ryzen 7 1800X, and besides, those current AMD chips are still stumbling a bit at 1080p resolution, so we should probably hold off until we see if the Red Team can actually fix that... until then, staying with Intel just seems like the smart move 🧐
Hello everyone
I have an Apple hard drive with a 1TB capacity, and I recently moved a significant amount of important data onto it from another computer, which should have occupied about 600GB out of the available space... however, when I connected the drive to my own PC, the system is reporting that only 250GB is being used instead of the expected 600GB, so I was wondering if anyone might have any insight into what could have happened to those files, or perhaps if it's possible they've been diverted into some sort of hidden partition or something similar...
Just as a bit of extra context, the drive is an internal Apple model with 1TB of total space, it connects via SATA along with that flat power cable, and it is a relatively older unit...
Could I also get an estimate on this one?
I have a Dell studio laptop...
Here are the specs:
Intel Core2Duo T6500 2.1
4GB RAM
500GB hard drive
Integrated graphics from the processor
Monitor: 1366x768
Windows 7 Home Basic
Thanks...
Hello there
I am finally ready to upgrade my living room setup after a decade of sticking with an old CRT television, and I am looking to pull the trigger on something modern... Since this will be my daily driver, but I also plan to hook up my PC occasionally for some gaming sessions and movie nights, I have a few specific requirements in mind. I need a screen with a diagonal of at least 40 inches, featuring 1080p resolution with vibrant color reproduction, plenty of HDMI ports, and broad support for various video formats so I don't run into any playback issues when I connect my computer. Most importantly, I want something reliable and high-quality—ideally avoiding brands like RCA or budget generic labels... My budget is around $3,000, though I could stretch to $1167 if necessary, and I plan to finance the purchase through Chase....
Greetings everyone
I am currently running an EVGA Radeon HD7770, but I have to admit I am not particularly thrilled with its performance lately... I enjoy playing some of the more demanding titles like Call of Duty and BioShock at 1920x1080 resolution, but I am running into quite a bit of lag, so I am considering parting with my old card to pick up something newer, though the options are making me a little confused, which leads me to a few questions
1.) Would the GTX 970 be a better choice than the EVGA GTX 760?
The GTX 970 is $567 whereas the EVGA GTX 760 is $667
2.) Is it actually worth spending $167 a bit extra to go with either an EVGA GTX 770 or a GTX 980?
The GTX 980 is $867 while the EVGA GTX 770 is sitting around $2550?
I am fully aware that there are much cheaper models out there, but I have my heart set on one of these specific cards, so if you could just let me know which path makes the most sense...
Thank you

In any case, for questions regarding these types of matters moving forward, please feel free to reach out on the Card Appeals thread over at the FEC... 😉
Thanks
Greetings,
I simply wanted to mention how this site is starting to feel like one of those closed-off echo chambers run by people with rather peculiar temperaments, where it seems impossible to say or do anything without being met by some sort of warning or penalty accompanied by a completely nonsensical explanation...
Earlier today at 6:00 PM, I received a notification from the moderator mljac1
Dear KEKSO,
You have received an infraction on Reddit.
Reason: Deranje [CAPS LOCK]
This infraction is worth 10 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.
And all because of an exclamation point at the end of a sentence...
It's possible, but I managed to get things sorted out using that Wondershare photo recovery program, I just had to download a keygen and voilà!
It restores the photos exactly as they were before I deleted them...
I honestly can't tell if I'm losing my mind or what, but if CAPS LOCK is actually an issue here, then I'll just step away from this forum and won't cause anyone any more trouble...
Benjamin King2 said:The H110 isn't going to work out since it uses 140mm fans, and this case only supports 120mm on the front panel.
Fair enough, I think I'll just go with the Corsair H100i instead...
Ryan Martin70 said:go ahead and grab both... honestly, if you have the budget, picking up that EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti liquid cooler would be the absolute best way to go...
I suspect 8GB might actually suffice for your needs, though I’d definitely recommend looking into which specific programs you plan on running and how much memory they demand so you don't end up spending money unnecessarily if it isn't required...
Alright, thanks 🙂
Hello there...
I was wondering if an NZXT Kraken X63 or perhaps an EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti could fit inside the Fractal Design Meshify 2...
If they do, what are your general thoughts on that specific chassis and how well it pairs with liquid cooling solutions...
Thanks so much! 🙂
P.S. - Also, would you say it's worth paying extra for $133 more than 8GB to get 16GB, given that I'll be browsing the web, playing Electronic Arts titles, and running some graphic design software?
