Why can't we just merge these two threads about parenting? At the end of the day, they're both tackling the exact same dilemma: whether or not to use physical discipline.

I would have sat him down and said, "Look at what you've done, you little troublemaker..." Well, because I did that, I ended up getting a beating and learned some hard lessons. That was that. 😁
Wait, how on earth did you pull that off without anyone noticing what you were up to? 🤷
Well, in certain scenarios, maybe not. silentpilot6 actually reminded me of that one guy who just had to set everything in sight on fire. He was just fascinated by the chaos, I guess. 🤷
I honestly don't know how I'd handle a situation like that. Then again, I'm not planning on having kids, so it’s not really my concern either.

Look, I just combed through fifty-nine pages of that discussion, and I didn't find a single person mentioned with an schizophrenia diagnosis, so I don't think your point really holds up. 🤷
Look, you can't expect to reach a kid in just one conversation. They should probably see a child psychologist; an expert would know how to build that necessary trust. It doesn't even have to be verbal—the little one could just draw out what they're afraid of instead. 🤷
Look, why focus exclusively on someone who is ill? I assume you have other criteria in mind; that shouldn't be the only factor. But since this specific topic is what’s currently on the table, we'll stick to it.

I think I could handle someone who's a little eccentric. But honestly, it couldn't be a perfectly "normal" person—would a completely stable person even be interested in being with me?😕🤷
