That’s not a strict requirement, but it definitely wouldn't hurt 😁 Basically, you just want someone warm and positive, you know? Someone who actually gives a damn about their patients and doesn't just act like everything is a huge hassle!
I guess I could grab one for $600 at Micro Center if I pay cash, plus they're probably cheaper if I just use my credit card 🙂. Honestly, that one's my favorite though, mostly because the PCB build quality looks solid and it's got a 36-month warranty.
So, quick question for you guys... what's the best GPU I can grab right now within my budget? Doesn't matter if it's Nvidia or AMD, just looking for the best bang for my buck!!
Sleep is basically pure peace and relaxation. I usually put on some chill, mellow music right before bed 😉 autogeni training works wonders too. As for pills, when I'm tossing and turning, honestly, nothing seems to help 🤣
So, about 5 days ago I accidentally took an extra 10mg of my antidepressant. Usually, I’m on 20mg twice a day plus Xanax SR x2, but I guess I mixed things up and grabbed some Cyprus instead of my Xanax...
The first night I just slept through it, but for the last three days, my stomach's been acting up and I've been getting these panic attacks—mostly just feeling super nauseous and breaking out in sweats. I'm thinking maybe it's just because I hit 30mg that day instead of 20mg, so it's probably just my body reacting and it'll eventually die down.
Anyone else dealt with something like this? Maybe shoot me a PM if you have. 🙂
Hey, I'm looking for a female doctor who's maybe a bit younger, easy to talk to, and just generally has a positive vibe. Ideally, someone with experience handling patients dealing with anxiety and depression... if anyone can help!! Looking around the Central Park, Petrova, or Vlach areas, or somewhere nearby...
stormywolf39 said:Two 6870s would be more powerful, but I guess the real question is if you even want to deal with CrossFire? It pulls way more power, runs hotter, and honestly, CrossFire can be such a headache sometimes depending on the setup.
Yeah, that’s why I’m asking. I don't really have any experience with CrossFire or anything like that, I guess.
They don't necessarily have to be those specific models. Like, maybe I go with CrossFire or whatever using different cards, or maybe I just grab one really solid card instead.🙂
So, I just had to let go of my GTX 580 Twin Frozr II. Needed the cash fast, unfortunately! Now I'm looking to pick up a new card, maybe even a pair, and these caught my eye: an AMD Radeon HD6870 Hawk in a CrossFire setup or a GTX 570 Twin Frozr III OC?
Anyone got recommendations for a solid GP? Like, someone actually good, honest, and friendly? I’ve had zero luck with doctors so far—just two older, single ladies who were super aggressive, messed up my prescriptions, and were basically just careless. It felt like they didn't care at all, almost like they were afraid of their own shadows...
But hey, I’m pretty sure there’s someone out there doing this job the right way!!
Since this thread seems to have stalled out a bit, I figured I’d give it a little nudge 😁 I’ve been on Lexapro for about three and a half months now, but I’m still dealing with occasional panic attacks and honestly just feeling pretty down. Plus, the nausea hits me pretty often, especially some stomach cramps...
On top of that, I’m taking Xanax SR 2 x1mg and then just 50mg of Amisulpride in the morning.
Just headed into work, and man, being out in the field in this heat is brutal 😳
Robert Collins2 said:It’s all five of them, but Bridget from Pittsburgh is in private practice now—she used to work the psych ward at Varaždin General Hospital for years... 😍
The thing is, she isn't just some doctor; she's a psychiatrist, a psychotherapist, AND a psychoanalyst, plus she's a regular expert witness for the courts...
We actually caught up recently, and she was telling me about being called to do a forensic evaluation at the crime scene where this girl I went to high school with was killed. Her boyfriend totally lost his mind on drugs and just slaughtered her with a knife, then he actually wrote "I love you" on the wall in her blood... 😲 😢
I've been totally lost lately, honestly just trying to function at all 🙏
I forgot how incredible it feels to start back on AD...
My psychiatrist is the absolute best 😳
It's crazy what people are capable of 😲 I remember this one girl from my neighborhood helped a guy get off drugs, and then he turned around and stole her money to go gambling. What an idiot!!! If I had a girl like that, I'd be showing her love every single day 😍
Robert Collins2 said:Leo, trust me, there are actually some decent psychiatrists out there, mine is one of them, but you seriously have to hunt for them like you're looking for a needle in a haystack... I can't even believe this crap—they just kick you off your AT&T meds and leave you stuck on anxiolytics, and to make matters worse, they're from San Ramon! 👎
People like that shouldn't even be allowed to practice; honestly, they're dangerous enough to be considered actual threats...

She's actually a psychiatrist!! I've got a solid psychotherapist who already told me to try going without Xanax SR once I started feeling better on the AD!! Guess I'm gonna need to find a new psychiatrist or something 👍
I'm using a referral, how about you? Thinking of seeing a female psychiatrist.
So my psychiatrist is trying to kick me off my antidepressants and just leave me on Xanax!! But honestly, Xanax doesn't even do anything for me, and of course, those dark thoughts are still hitting hard, especially right before bed.
After I finally talked him into it, he put me back on Lexapro, so now I'm dealing with all these side effects again ☕
Everything from nausea to insomnia... I guess we're all just guinea pigs for psychiatrists sometimes ☕
mistyheron8 said:Hmm, advertising oneself on a forum? I'm fairly certain that isn't permitted here. Honestly, it's precisely that kind of self-promotion that would keep me from ever joining. And regardless of whether you consider yourself an expert, I have to disagree with the notion that we should avoid prescribing medication entirely—assuming you mean for every single psychological condition. It isn't a coincidence that mental illnesses run frequently through certain families. You might point toward environment and upbringing, but I’d argue it's a mix of genetics and environment. For instance, you often see people who share close bloodlines but don't live together, yet still manifest the same mental health struggles. It’s well-documented that things like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, and depression have genetic components; the environment is merely one factor, a trigger. This means that something like severe depression absolutely requires medication first, and only once those drugs take effect does it make sense to layer on psychotherapy, because until then, therapy alone won't have much of an impact. I’m speaking broadly about mental illness here, not specifically regarding the girl mentioned by the original poster.
Totally agree with you! He should've just sent a PM if he was trying to help.👍
Hey, does anyone know a really good GP in Chicago? I'm looking for someone solid. Ideally somewhere near Central Park, Saint Louis, or maybe around Petrov...

Duh, that’s why I even brought it up! I’ve been trying for weeks to get my psychiatrist to listen—telling her that Alvin is basically nuking my brain functions—but nothing. Zero luck. I've been on these pills for three months now and man, the issues are unreal.
Right now, I’m just praying to God ☕ I'm sleeping anywhere from 17 to 24 hours a day! Plus, the dizzy spells and headaches... I feel like I’ve downed a whole liter of heavy red wine.
Usually, I don't act like meds are some kind of necessary evil, but this is different.
Roger Rodriguez said:My psychiatrist is really hesitant about switching up my medication. He argues that dealing with the side effects of adjusting to a new prescription is actually worse than just waiting for the current one to kick in or slowly bumping up the dosage.
I get that, and I guess swapping antidepressants isn't even that smart if they're actually working for you. Just because someone thinks they know everything doesn't mean they do, right? 😁
