My mother-in-law made this comment about how my legs look really thick and suggested that maybe a longer dress would be more flattering 😢—and honestly, it just leaves me feeling terrible, like I’m out of shape and just... unattractive 😢

I am genuinely fascinated by how men, with perfectly functional eyes, don't perceive the same amount of dust as we do? Like, for me, ten little crumbs on the floor is enough reason to grab the vacuum or a broom, but for him, it takes a thousand crumbs before he even considers touching them😲—and even then, he won't do it immediately because once I say that one disgusting word, I lose my mind... UGH😠
I’m exactly the same way.
Whenever I hear that word "later," I instantly lose my patience. 😠
Tina 🙂 If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't even bother calling my dad—not just to settle an argument, anyway. Honestly, he’d probably just end up getting under my skin and leaving me feeling frustrated. 😢
It honestly gets under my skin when my brother-in-law keeps insisting we picked some "backwoods, hillbilly" name for our little one. Look, he doesn't have to like it—I get that—but saying it in such an obnoxious, condescending way? And not just once, either 👎
Thanks for the reply 🙂 I actually have one more quick question.
Is there a way to see immediately when someone posts something new? Right now, I’ve just been manually refreshing the page, but I have a feeling there's a much better way to stay updated 😁
[*QUOTE=copperskipper68;18111990]So, what happens if you upvote someone's post just to get more points from that same thread?

What does it actually mean to subscribe to a thread?
Morgan Rivera26 said:We initially thought about having them come get me in the city, but honestly, nobody wants to spend two hours stuck in a wedding dress crammed into a car, especially since I'm pregnant, so they'll just head out to where I am.
Since my fiancé is from the same small town as my parents and I have a ton of family there, I'll just get ready at my brother's place and they can pick me up from his house...
I mean, when my uncle got married—his wife is also from the city—they all gathered together, drove to the city to grab her, and then made the trek back to the Midwest for the wedding. 😁
I figure a two-hour drive is actually pretty manageable these days, especially since cars actually have decent AC now... he’ll probably be fine with it, considering he'll be doing a four-hour round trip to get you, while you're only looking at two.😁
That's probably what I'll end up doing, anyway. I don't really have anywhere else to stay in Richmond besides his place, and wandering around would just be silly. If he can handle the four-hour drive, then so be it. 😁

I could use some insight here.. 😉
So, I'm originally from New York City, but I'm getting married out in the Midwest, specifically near Memphis, and I’m trying to wrap my head around all the local traditions—everything from how the groom picks up the bride to the specific customs at the church and the reception hall. 😁
I'm hoping there are a few people here who can help me make sense of it all. 😍
THANKS!! 🙏
Morgan Rivera26, I’m actually in the exact same boat as you—I live in the city, but my wedding is happening out in the Midwest—so I’ve been wondering how you handled the logistics of getting the bride to the venue. Are you planning on having someone pick you up in the city and drive you all the way back out to the Midwest for the wedding, or are you looking at doing something else entirely? I honestly haven't even come up with a solid plan yet—it's one of those things that feels much more complicated than it should be. 🤷
Hey there,
Does anyone have any firsthand experience with the Brođanka restaurant? The space looks pretty decent to me—I like the vibe—but I’m really on the fence about whether the food and service actually live up to the look. If anyone has been there and could share some honest thoughts, it would be a huge help. Thanks! 🙂

It turns out I’m actually seeing the exact same doctor that one of the folks on this forum recommended to me. 🙂 👍
I finally made it to see that doctor—honestly, she’s absolutely wonderful. 🙏 I’d honestly recommend her to anyone—really. I went through an autogenic training session with her, and I can tell you firsthand that it actually works. It made a genuine difference for me.
