Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Could someone recommend a good general practitioner in a suburban city near me?
I’m also a patient of Beljo, and honestly, I haven't been particularly impressed with her medical expertise. It's true what everyone says—she’s lovely and easy to talk to, and she makes the appointments feel very friendly. But at the end of the day, I didn't go in for a chat; I went there for a professional medical evaluation. Between the long wait times and the high costs, it's hard to justify.
I'm actually considering switching to a different provider, perhaps one in a suburb of a major city. 🤔

I’m planning on going skydiving in Sioux Falls next week, and I can already feel the adrenaline rushing through me! 😍
Daniel Morales63 said:Unfortunately, a family member has been diagnosed with Stage 4 large cell lung adenocarcinoma, which has also spread to the lymph nodes behind the lungs. Since doctors have to stick strictly to protocols, they tend to avoid giving direct advice. I'm wondering about the odds: how much will chemotherapy actually help, and how much might it just ruin the quality of her remaining time? She is a 63-year-old woman. She was originally scheduled for radiation back in November, but they couldn't perform it due to a fever and sent her over to Jordan instead. Word is she’s been struggling quite a bit lately. She hasn't made a decision yet, but ten years ago, her husband passed away from various cancers. They gave him chemo for his lung issues, and he declined very rapidly—just within a few days. He was still somewhat functional before the treatment started.

So, chemo—yes or no? I'm not looking for medical advice, just some pros and cons to consider. She will make the final call herself.

If this were someone close to me, my answer would be no. 🙄

From what I've gathered, there are some pretty decent loan options available over at Chase ☕

I know there are similar threads floating around, but honestly, nobody seems to be taking them seriously.
I have a proposal here.----
I am reaching out to all the women and girls (ages 15 and up) who love this sport. It doesn't matter if you used to train competitively or if you've never picked up a ball in your life; if you want to get back into it recreationally, make new friends, get in shape, lose some weight, or just blow off some steam... this is for you. I'm inviting you to join me in forming a recreational group where we can play together and perhaps even compete against other local clubs down the road. We could rent a gym on a monthly basis, grab a few balls to start with, and grow from there.

Since we'd be pulling people from various areas—maybe around the Chicago suburbs or even parts of Indiana—we’ll look for a rental space that makes sense for everyone. Naturally, some of us might have to drive a little bit to meet up.
But if this takes off, everyone could bring a friend along so we can carpool. I am also completely open to any ideas or advice you might have. ☕

So, if there are any volunteers👍 let me know.

I honestly think I’d get back into handball... where can I find a good league? I spent years training for it back in high school.
Daily water intake: Let's discuss in Health ·
I can't handle drinking that much water either... it honestly makes me feel nauseous😢 but my friend—who is basically a saint about this—is constantly sipping on it. She doesn't even wait until she's thirsty. At first, she was really forcing herself to do it, but now it’s just become a habit. I tried following her lead, but I just can't do it; it makes me feel sick...

She tells me, speaking from her supposed "expertise," that you have to be sipping water constantly. Her theory is that by the time you actually feel thirsty, you're already dehydrated. Honestly, I can barely even remember to drink anything unless my body starts screaming for it.😂

I’m not afraid—well, maybe I am...
It’s hard to explain, but I get this sudden chill whenever I stop to think about it. What happens when I die? What comes next? It’s just a thousand questions swirling around. Is there an afterlife or nothingness? And even if there is something waiting for us, I find myself wondering: will it even be *me*? Without my body, without being able to sit around with the people I love most... I just don't know.

I suppose we can handle the idea of losing an acquaintance, but when it hits close to home—our parents, our children—that's a different story entirely. It feels like death is never "on time." No matter when it happens, we always find ourselves asking, "Why them? They had so much life left to live."

Anyway, I'm just lost in thought.
