Sure, and it’s actually pretty comfortable for pushing around. I did a little tweaking because it's nice to just sit back and watch everyone else gear up for their ride while you're chilling at home. Taking it in for service today—we'll see how it holds up, but it's an old bike. It's been out for eight working days, and half of those were spent just sitting in the garage. 😵

I might be derailing this thread, but there's a loose connection to the core idea here.

Since I'm pretty much a novice cyclist, my biggest "what if" was always just getting a flat tire. I never once imagined that at kilometer 29 on my ride, the rear derailleur would just snap right off. facepalm

First, the chain dropped. I hopped off the bike, lifted the rear wheel, and checked to make sure nothing was jammed up. I tried shifting gears smoothly and gave the pedal a spin by hand...😱

The issue is that I hit thirty and somehow convinced myself I was basically Lance Armstrong. I haven't been on a bike since I was sixteen, at the earliest. I set my daily route to about 9.3 miles miles and now I'm already eyeing the mountains—I've still got a long way to go, obviously—but if there’s one thing I can't stand, it's getting stuck with a flat for no reason. Anyway, I stopped by the local REI to talk to some guys, and they gave me the straight talk: just carry two CO2 cartridges, and if you get a puncture, clean the debris out of the casing before patching it up from the inside.

I recently picked up a bike for some light exercise. Honestly, I'm too heavy to bother with running, and walking is just plain boring 🙂. I went with a Specialized Sirrus because I needed something beefy enough to handle my weight (currently sitting at about 265 lbs /grin). It came stock with some Zéfal tires, 26x2.0. I've heard people talking a lot of trash about them, so I want to know how reliable they actually are. I'm no expert, so I don't care about brand wars or corporate drama, but considering my weight and the fact that I have zero interest in calling for help if I get a flat out in the middle of nowhere, I need advice. Should I go tube or tubeless? Also, any recommendations on what to buy and where to find them?

I'm happy to pay for good advice with a beer at whatever local spot you guys suggest.

Bottom line is, you can ask to have your limit bumped back up to the allowed overdraft amount whenever you want. Unless you’re dealing with checks, which they say they deduct at $333/each. That update hits your account instantly. The whole point is to dodge all the headaches and mess that comes with paper checks. And let’s be honest, about 80% of people were just using checks to try and stay afloat with their lenders.

I honestly think Amex still holds the best merchant agreements and perks in the US.
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve noticed the price or interest rate is higher when using a Mastercard or something else compared to an Amex. Just my two cents

It’s all fine. I was just trying to tell the guy to find a company that actually has a physical presence here in the States. Everyone knows smuggling is rampant, but damn it, someone's gotta get caught eventually.

THE GAMBLING AND LOTTERY REGULATION ACT (STATUTE NO. 83/02):

3. Sports betting
4. Slot machine gaming

Section 68.
(1) The following is prohibited:

Participating in foreign gambling if the stakes are being placed within the United States, 2. collecting wagers within the United States for participation in gambling games organized abroad, 3. selling, possessing, commercially transferring, issuing, advertising, or any promotion of foreign lotteries and gambling cards within the United States.
(2) Individuals who do not hold American citizenship but are temporarily staying in the United States are permitted to possess foreign lottery tickets or cards for their own personal use.

Section 72.
(1) A legal entity shall be fined between $50,000.00 and $166667 for violating:
22. if they act in violation of the prohibitions regarding foreign gambling (Section 68.).
Under this law, it is illegal to pay residents for gambling or games played overseas.
