Kimberly Robinson2 said:Well, I tried testing on Saturday too—used a different sample this time—but nothing. 😢

Thanks.

I forgot to mention that I've been wiped out all day... I'm sleeping about 10 or 12 hours and still feel like I could go for more...😲 😁

But those symptoms seem a bit early for this... it's possible, but my gut tells me it might be premature. 🤷

If you're really worried, just go get a beta test done. That's the only way to know for sure what's going on.
Kimberly Robinson2 said:Hey there.

So, I’ve officially entered the testing phase myself. My partner was running a bit behind schedule today, but—get this—he actually took a test. 😢

The test used: Clearblue Mini (the little strip kind)

As for the symptoms that make me think I might be pregnant: I've been dealing with bloating for almost two weeks now, increased saliva, a much stronger sense of smell, and I've been feeling dizzy all day long for about ten days. Plus, my bathroom trips have increased, and for the last three days, my breasts have started swelling and getting sore—which usually happens about ten days before my period starts and settles down around three days before, but this time it feels reversed. And then there's the nausea that's been hitting me since early this morning.

And the test came back negative....😢 😢

Has anyone else had this happen—where you get a negative result (ideally using the same brand) but you were actually pregnant? Like, did the positive line just show up a few days later?

🙏

In my experience, that test showed a positive three days before my expected period... I don't know... maybe try testing again tomorrow. Good luck!
Tyler Ruiz502 said:See, this is where I’m getting tripped up—I keep running into claims like the one above (honestly, mostly just here on this forum, nowhere else I've looked), even though the "official" textbook version is that ovulation occurs exactly 14 days before your next period arrives. In plain English: Fourteen days.

So, if someone has a 30-day cycle, ovulation should hit on day 16, right?

But based on what Klara (and several others) are suggesting, it sounds like ovulation could happen on day 10 or even day 22, yet the period still shows up perfectly on schedule on day 30? —Am I following the logic here, or am I totally missing something? 🤷

Hmm... interesting.

No, you actually nailed it. If the cycle is 30 days, it's day 16. For me, I had a 33-day cycle and my ovulation hit on day 19.
Jose Williams78 said:Can you actually get your period if you have an ectopic pregnancy? And if you did, would a pregnancy test even show up positive or negative?

The test could definitely come back positive.
stormymoose8 said:Hey guys, I have a quick question (it might sound a little silly, but I’m just stuck 😁)
I used a Clearblue test, and it showed two vertical lines. I wasn't really looking out for it needing to show a "+" sign since I'm more used to those cheaper brands, so I figured if there were lines in both windows, it meant a positive result.
So, does anyone here have experience with this? Is it only considered positive when it shows a "+", or could mine have been positive and the line just didn't show up clearly? (I took the test right on the day my period was supposed to start).
Thanks so much! I tried searching online, and apparently, there are some versions that just show a line and others that show a "+", but I'm not sure which ones are actually sold here in the States. If anyone has had a similar experience or knows the deal, I'd really appreciate it 🙂

What does the instruction manual say? I always stick to the budget brands, so I honestly have no clue how these fancy ones work...🤣
Larry Edwards3 said:I was wondering if any of you ladies have ever ended up pregnant while using condoms? I mean, assuming nothing actually broke... maybe there was just some kind of manufacturing defect or a tiny little hole I didn't notice? 😬 To give you a bit of context, I already have one child, and my cycles have been incredibly predictable since I gave birth—my period usually shows up every 29 days, right on schedule. But this month, I’m already at day 33 and it still hasn't arrived. My husband and I generally use protection, but we did end up having unprotected sex the night before last because I was convinced my period was coming and figured my fertile window had passed ages ago. What do you all think might be going on?

To be perfectly honest, if it turns out I am pregnant, I won't be disappointed at all...🙂

Well, in that case, I hope you don't... 😍just go buy a test!
restlessmoose22 said:Hello everyone. I’m not entirely sure if this is the right forum for this, but I honestly don't know where else to turn for advice...
Here is the situation: my period was due yesterday, and while it technically arrived, it is nothing like my usual cycle. It is just a faint pink smear on the paper and nothing more, and even that seems to have already passed. I am at a loss. I suspect I might be pregnant since we have been trying to conceive, but I am absolutely terrified. Having endured two previous miscarriages, I am currently in a state of total panic. Is it too early to schedule an appointment with my OB-GYN? I haven't even taken a pregnancy test yet.
I would truly appreciate your perspective. Has anyone here dealt with something similar? Should I wait a bit longer before testing, or would it be wiser to take a test first thing tomorrow morning?
Thank you in advance for any input you can provide...

You need to take a test immediately. If you are pregnant and bleeding, you can't risk waiting—especially after everything you've been through. Please, just test right away.
coppermoose30 said:I just took a Clearblue test and there’s this incredibly faint line appearing...
It’s currently day 35 since my last period started, and my cycles are all over the place, usually running anywhere from 32 to 38 days.
I'm losing my mind here, I honestly can't tell if I'm pregnant or not??

I'm leaning toward yes, you're pregnant....😍

congratulations !!! for me, the plus showed up 3 days before my period started...😍
velvetangler20 said:Hey ladies, I am seriously begging for some advice here. So, about 20 days ago, things got a little heated with this guy—if you can even call it that—and we ended up having sex just once. We didn't use any protection, but we stopped immediately because we didn't want to take the risk. He didn't even finish inside me or anything like that... so there shouldn't be an issue, right? But now my period is two days late. I don't feel different or notice any weird symptoms or anything, but honestly, what are the actual odds that I could be pregnant? Is that even a possibility at this point?...

The odds are basically zero; you aren't pregnant.
Zachary Kern6 said:I don't really get why people come here asking these things... if your doctor told you not to worry because your bilirubin is just at the upper limit, then there's nothing to it. It doesn't mean anything, even if it's slightly elevated, say up to 30.

Look, this forum exists specifically for asking questions and getting answers, so why the attitude? Clearly, some people aren't comfortable relying solely on one person's opinion. My bad if my question was a waste of space.😠
Hey everyone, I see some smart people in here, so I was hoping you could help me make sense of something. What does it actually mean when there's bilirubin in the urine? My husband’s blood work looks great and his urinalysis is solid, but his bilirubin is sitting right at the upper limit of 20. His internist isn't worried since his ALT and AST levels are perfectly normal, but he does take protein supplements because he's training hard. Could there be a connection there?🤷

Thanks.

I've been following this thread closely too. Is it actually cheaper to take out loans abroad? We’re looking at a mortgage for about $75,000, and with two co-signers, we have the credit standing to qualify at Chase, but I'm wondering if we'd get a better deal by looking outside the country. How can I research this without having to hire a translator just to cross the border? thanks.
