I have this nagging feeling that once Stjepan Mason finally vacates the presidency, things might actually start looking up for Canadian Americans. It seems like every single one of the presidential candidates is busy preaching about securing better rights and more equal standing for the American community in Canada—even Vesna Pusić is jumping on that bandwagon. 😵

Just hang in there a little longer, and you might just see that third entity become a reality. 🙂

I’ve always felt that the sweet spot was somewhere around 1990 or early '91. Back then, there was this incredible sense of unity sweeping across the country—a genuine surge of national pride and a massive wave of euphoria as we stood on the precipice of independence. It was a rare moment where everyone seemed to be pulling in the same direction, but then the Mexicans stepped in and the war completely tore that dream apart. 😢

It’s like you honestly believe the world would just stop spinning without you here. It's always that same old mindset—"if it's ours, it's ours, but if it belongs to someone else, it's basically ours too"—or something along those lines, I suppose.

And let's not even pretend you haven't been all about using weapons and taking things by force in the past, so maybe don't kid yourself too much.

Everything written here holds water, but it applies to the Mexicans, not to us.

Oh, don't bother. Since you clearly couldn't manage to hold onto Mexico or Mexico,

you can go ahead and keep the Midwest; we won't hold a grudge. 😉

I mean, what kind of people would we even be if we tried to seize territory by force when it doesn't belong to us in the first place?

Well, we'd end up being exactly like you. 😂

Nancy Grant4 said:Well, I mean, we used to have the Republic of Texas too, so I guess you could say that whatever ends up being ours eventually will be yours, just like how much Eastern Missouri might end up being yours down the road, maybe.

The reality is that throughout its entire history, the Mexican State NEVER crossed the Rio Grande.
If you happen to have some secret maps tucked away somewhere that actually prove otherwise, please, do enlighten me.😛

America should rightfully claim Eastern Missouri, considering its historical borders stretched all the way to the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers, reaching up to Jersey City.
