It’s basically more of the same, just cruising through ☕ I just saw you mention in the chat that I should stay optimistic, so yeah, let's ride with that. 😁
wiredcanyon39 said:Wall over 16.5 at 1.85 6/10 The Wizards are facing off against Minnesota, and man, Minnesota has been playing pretty solid this season, even if they tend to stumble a bit late in the game. Their defense is kind of shaky though—if I’m remembering right, they’re giving up nearly 100 points a night. The Wizards have been pretty rough lately and struggle to find any rhythm offensively, which mostly puts everything on young Wall's shoulders since he isn't getting much help from his teammates. Rubio and Ridnour should be tasked with guarding him, but honestly, I doubt they can really contain him; he's just such a superior athlete and one of the fastest guys in the league.
Howard over 21.5 at 1.85 7/10
Orlando is heading out to face the Kings in Sacramento. Their coach actually just got fired, but hey, they still managed to pull off a massive second-half comeback against the Bucks last week. They've got a reputation for being a sieve in the paint and defending terribly near the rim. Since Howard is one of Orlando's top players and their main leader, he's an absolute beast in the post. I'm thinking he'll grab plenty of offensive boards tonight and turn those into easy buckets.

Rough, real rough. -7.54 units I don't really have the time to sit down and do a deep dive into the stats today, but I feel pretty good about these.
Atlanta vs New Jersey at 1.45 Aside from the Wizards, New Jersey is probably the weakest squad in the league. They're outmatched by the Hawks in almost every single position except for point guard. I seriously doubt they can do much damage to the Hawks, who have been a bit hit-or-miss this season. 8/10
Philadelphia vs Indiana at 1.55
Indiana is heating up and they've definitely added some talent, but I don't see them surpassing what they did last year. They play great at home, but they've been surprisingly bad on the road. Philly, on the other hand, has come out of the gates swinging this season with a winning record despite a tough schedule out West. I could actually see them being a bit of a surprise this year; sure, they might not get past the Bulls or the Heat, but they definitely have enough grit to hold their own against the rest of the East.
J. Wall over 16.5 @ 1.85 6/10 The Wizards are up against a Minnesota squad that’s been looking pretty solid this season, even if they do tend to stumble a bit when things get intense in the closing minutes. Their defense is kind of a mess—if I recall correctly, they’re giving up nearly 100 points a game. The Wizards themselves have been struggling to find any rhythm offensively, and honestly, it mostly falls on young J. Wall. He just isn't getting much help from his teammates out there. Ricky Rubio and Luke Ridnour really need to step up and pick up the slack, though I'm not sure they can actually contain him; he's just a different breed of athlete and easily one of the fastest guys in the league.
Dwight Howard over 21.5 @ 1.85 7/10
Orlando is heading out to face the Sacramento Kings. The Kings' coach actually just got fired, but hey, they still managed to pull off a massive second-half comeback against the Bucks last time out. They’ve gained a reputation for being absolute sieve-like in the paint, letting way too many easy buckets slide through. Since Dwight Howard is such a force and the clear leader for Orlando, I think he’s going to feast inside tonight. I’m betting he grabs a ton of offensive boards and turns those into some easy points.
p.s. I’m honestly starting to feel like a total sucker before even placing my bets—both Joe and Chicago let me down today.
(And honestly, I wouldn't recommend betting on a 2/2 comeback against Chicago. They are absolute beasts in the 3rd and 4th quarters. If you're looking for a reason to bet against them, it’s just pure fatigue, whereas the Hawks might actually have some energy left for the first half)
I totally feel you. I constantly put them on my slips thinking I’ll lose the first half just to win it all by the end, but it never goes my way.
Boozer is sitting at a 14.5 line for the spread, and honestly, I feel like even a total amateur could probably cash this one in if they were looking for it.
It’s been a minute since I’ve posted any breakdowns; work has just been absolutely kicking my ass lately. 🙂
Analysis #3 +10.45 2w/0l Atlanta vs Chicago, Chicago 2, 1.65 5/10 We’ve got a massive matchup here between the conference-leading Chicago Bulls and an Atlanta squad that actually had the Bulls on the ropes just a few days ago. Still, thanks to a killer fourth quarter from Derrick Rose and the rest of the crew, Chicago managed to claw their way back for the win. Honestly, the Bulls look incredible this season—their only real stumble was that tough road trip against the Golden State Warriors. Plus, Rose has really dialed up his three-point shooting, which makes this roster even more dangerous now that they've got Tayshaun Hamilton in the mix. On the other hand, Atlanta is playing their third game in just three days. They just went through a brutal triple-overtime loss to the Miami Heat two nights ago, and then scraped by the Charlotte Bobcats in overtime yesterday. Fatigue is definitely going to be a huge factor here, and I wouldn't be surprised if the pace slows down significantly. You could probably make a play on the under because of that, but I guess I feel a bit more confident just backing the Bulls to take this one.
I’m feeling pretty good about the Charlotte-Atlanta under 187.5. Both these teams are basically struggling to put points on the board while giving up way too many themselves. Plus, I guess Atlanta being on the third game in four nights might catch up to them.
I mean, I don't think it works for the team as a whole, but for an individual player? Maybe. I'm not totally sure though, so someone please jump in and tell me if I'm crazy or actually onto something here.
Jerry Grant51 said:Major props to Miami. Honestly, staying this competitive without those two is impressive. I'm just now really getting into the swing of things with this series.
Ever since Atlanta jumped into the series and we saw that Bosh meltdown
Emily Sanchez11 said:Why would it be 1 if he spends the whole game riding the bench?
Well, look, if he doesn't step onto the court for even a single second, then yeah, it counts as a 1. But if he gets even one tiny second of playing time, then the under hits. Simple as that, I guess.
