Portland - Philadelphia 1
I mean, this feels like a pretty solid bet, even if we’re just getting the season kicked off. Portland is legendary for being a tough place to play, probably having some of the most intense fans in the NBA. Sure, Terry Porter moved on, but with guys like Aldridge, Wallace, and Batum, they’ve got enough grit to take down Philly. Honestly, Philadelphia never seems to love traveling out West, and they rarely put up their best numbers on the road anyway. At 1.55, I guess the odds are more than fair. It looks like a winner to me.
Cleveland - Toronto 1
So, yeah, Cleveland had a rough go last season, but I don't think they were actually that bad—it felt more like they just ran into a string of terrible luck. Now, they've brought in two massive rookies, the #1 and #4 picks from the draft, and the hype in the city is real. They should be heavy favorites at home against what I honestly think is the worst franchise in the league right now. The Raptors are struggling big time; between Bargnani, Calderon, and DeRozan, I just don't have much faith in them. At 1.65, I’m taking this one for sure.
