Really solid night in the NBA so far, though we didn't see many favorites hit their marks—except maybe Minnesota, but honestly, that game felt like a total coin flip to me anyway. I just can't bring myself to call the New York Knicks favorites against anyone, really.
Just wanted to drop in and say hey, just finished playing through an NBA parlay and one NFL matchup Lakers 1 1.50 GSW 1 1.80 Totty 2 1.75 Anyway, I'm heading out to catch some fresh air and warm up a bit. Catch you guys next year
The Golden State Warriors play such an incredible, high-octane style of basketball—it’s honestly perfect for us neutral fans who just want to watch a show. Ellis absolutely tore through the Knicks in that fourth quarter, which was wild, but then you look at Melo and he was just totally unrecognizable. I guess we'll see if he can actually find his rhythm today against the Lakers.

I’ll get a damn proper analysis written up later.
Honestly, I'm leaning toward the under here. He hasn't been shooting much through these first two games, and since they're facing a tough road trip, I'd say the Kings +7.5 should probably cover.
I honestly can't believe I'm actually thinking about taking the Bulls against the Kings in the spread... does anyone even know what the margin is looking like right now?

Day three of the season, and we’ve got a massive matchup on the table. It's last year's dark horse, the Memphis Grizzlies, taking on one of the heavy title favorites alongside the Miami Heat—the Oklahoma City Thunder. Looking at how things have started, Memphis dropped their opener against the San Antonio Spurs—the same squad they pulled off that huge playoff upset against last year—but this season, the Spurs handled them pretty easily, winning by 13. Meanwhile, OKC is rolling with two wins under their belt after taking down a bolstered Minnesota Timberwolves team, 104-100, in an Orlando matchup. Honestly, OKC hasn't even touched their roster this season, but I guess you could say their biggest "new" additions are just a year older, more seasoned Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. As for Memphis, man, I just haven't seen much from them yet. They didn't look impressive in their season opener, and they struggled in those two games against the New Orleans Pelicans too. They finally got Rudy Gay back, and with Zach Randolph and Pau Gasol in the mix, that trio is basically what carries this whole Memphis group. The Odds look really solid here. I'm feeling pretty good about this one—I'm definitely taking it. 😁
I mean, we really gotta give it another shot today. I guess there's no harm in trying again, right? Maybe luck will finally swing our way this time. I'm leaning toward the Miami Heat here. Looking at the odds, they're sitting at around 1.45, which feels like a pretty solid play if you're looking for some momentum. I guess it’s worth a shot. Maybe the LA Clippers at +4.5 is the move here. I don't know, just a feeling I'm getting, but I guess it's worth looking into. I guess we're looking at Philly? Maybe just a little bit? I don't know, it feels like there's something there, but who knows. Just my two cents, I suppose.
Oh man, my bad—totally forgot to log that 5/10. My mistake!
So, we're on day three of the season, and we've got last year's big playoff surprise, the Memphis Grizzlies, taking on one of the heavy title favorites alongside the Heat—the OKC Thunder. Memphis dropped their opener against the San Antonio Spurs, who, by the way, are the same squad they knocked out of the playoffs last year, though this time the Spurs took them by double digits. On the other side, OKC is sitting pretty with two wins after Orlando fell to a bolstered Minnesota Timberwolves squad, 104-100. OKC hasn't actually changed their roster this season, but I guess you could say their biggest upgrades are just having a year older Westbrook and Kevin Durant leading the charge. Honestly, Memphis didn't really blow me away in their season opener, and they weren't exactly impressive in those two matchups against the New Orleans Pelicans either. They've got Rudy Gay back in the mix, along with the reliable duo of Zach Randolph and Pau Gasol, which is basically the core trio driving this whole Memphis group. The odds look pretty solid here, so I'm definitely grabbing this one 😁
Still gotta try to catch these today Miami 2/2 1,45 Clippers +4,5 Phila 2
wiredcanyon39 said:Milwaukee Bucks vs Minnesota Timberwolves +5.5 ulog: 7/10 0w/0l The Wolves are looking pretty solid this season, especially since they brought in two rookies, Ricky Rubio and Williams. Honestly, Ricky has been kind of mesmerizing for the American public lately—his passing vision is just insane, though I guess us overseas fans have known that forever. Then you've got Williams, who’s great in the post and hits those threes, which really opens up the paint for the vets like Kevin Love, John Beasley, Luke Ridnour, and that newcomer from the Dallas Mavericks, J. J. Bare. I mean, if my gut is right, that might be enough to pull off a win against the Bucks tonight, and I think there's a good chance we cover that handicap. Milwaukee hasn't really added much; they're still leaning heavily on Monta Ellis and Andrei Bogut. Both teams are playing their second game in two nights, too. The Wolves just came off a loss to one of the heavy favorites this year, the Oklahoma City Thunder, while Milwaukee played pretty poorly and dropped one to the Charlotte Bobcats. Even though they're at home, I just don't see Milwaukee keeping pace with the Wolves this year. They look legit, maybe even a serious playoff contender in a stacked West.
☕ What do I know, though? Not exactly a genius if Pau Gasol ends up dominating the low post and wrecking my night. 🙂
Milwaukee Bucks vs Minnesota Timberwolves +5.5 My Pick: 7/10 0w/0l The Minnesota Timberwolves have brought two rookies into the fold this season, Ricky Rubio and John Wall. Ricky’s been absolutely fascinating the American public lately—he just has this insane knack for passing that, honestly, those of us overseas have known about for ages. Then you've got Wall, who is a beast in the post and hits those threes like it's nothing, which really stretches the floor for veterans like Kevin Love, John Wall, Luke Ridnour, and that newcomer from the Dallas Mavericks, J.J. Barea. I mean, I guess that might actually be enough to pull off a win against the Bucks tonight; I think there's a pretty good chance we cover the spread here. As for Milwaukee, they haven't really added much to the roster—it's still mostly just Monta Ellis and Andrew Bogut. Both teams are playing on the second night of a back-to-back, too. The Wolves just came off a loss to one of the heavy favorites this season, the Oklahoma City Thunder, while Milwaukee looked pretty rough in their loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. Even though they're at home, I just don't see Milwaukee being able to hang with Minnesota this year. To me, the Timberwolves look legit—potentially even a strong playoff contender in a tough Western Conference.
Honestly, Miami is the heavy favorite here. They’re absolutely dialed in right now. Meanwhile, the Celtics seem a bit weaker this season compared to how they usually play, and there's even a chance Paul Pierce might sit this one out. At this point, Boston is probably just focused on securing their spot in the playoffs, so if they can stay healthy, maybe they'll actually try to turn it up once they get in there.
Charles Long63 said:What’s the move for the Lakers today? Honestly, the odds look way too high for my liking—feels like they're being undervalued for no reason at all. I guess we'll see, but something feels off there.🤷
Honestly, you only need to look at how they’ve been playing over the last two games to see the problem. Plus, it’s their third game in three days—that kind of schedule is brutal, I guess.
