That’s great, Kate Taylor59, thanks so much😍. I’m actually really curious—is it even possible to do a closed reduction for a cracked septum? It hasn't shifted or crooked after all these months, and there's still no swelling, just some minor clicking. I’m planning on seeing a few different specialists to see who can actually pull it off...🙄
Does anyone happen to know a specialist who performs closed reductions for a broken nose? I’ve already consulted two plastic surgeons and one general ENT, but nothing has really moved the needle... Does anyone know of someone, anywhere in the US, who actually does this?
Bump. Does anyone here have any experience dealing with a piggishly upturned nose tip following surgery, an impact, or a bad bruise?
👍 Don't be afraid
Kate Taylor59 said:Good God, there’s just so much going on here... honestly, it's a bit much. But hey, variety is the spice of life, I guess. Personally, I’ve always been a fan of a lifted silhouette—those push-up bras that actually do their job. I can't quite picture how some of this looks, though. 🙄

It looks like it’s been pulled forward and upward. Since it was already looking a bit awkward before, the whole thing just seems off and out of proportion now. I’m really hoping they settle it back down. 😢 Does anyone know if things like compresses or anything else actually help?
Kate Taylor59 said:What do you mean by "dropping"? You think it just disappears over several months?
Why wouldn't that be possible?

I actually heard that’s pretty common for people to deal with after surgery. I haven't had any surgery myself, though. Since my nose is totally normal and I can breathe perfectly fine, I don't even think about it—until I accidentally bumped my face about two months ago. There wasn't even any bleeding, but the tip of my nose lifted up and it just won't settle back down. My ENT told me I should probably wait a few more months to see what happens, but honestly, I have no idea if it'll ever drop back to how it used to look unless I do something about it. It feels really weird.
Is it actually possible for the tip of my nose to lift up after a hit, even if I haven't had surgery, and then have the swelling take months to finally go down? Has anyone else gone through something similar? 🙄😢🤷👎

I honestly don't think a therapist is going to be the magic fix here. Based on everything you've described, it sounds like you're just dealing with extreme hypersensitivity. You have to own that about yourself. Instead of letting that intense observational power drain you through endless overthinking, try flipping the script and using it for something positive. Just trust your gut and try to stay optimistic—it’s really the only way forward. You shouldn't jump to the conclusion that every strange thing you encounter is something negative; there's a very good chance it's actually the exact opposite. 😉
😲Man, I honestly can’t believe it...😲 It feels like I’m reading my own thoughts. I’m right there with you in age—maybe a year younger, but give or take—and I feel just as lost as you described. I couldn't find the words to express this myself, so I’m actually really glad you posted this. You hit the nail on the head; it’s exactly how things feel for me too.

If you ask me, it’s just a blunt way of feeding the ego, nothing more.
