Why is everyone so intolerant lately? in Psychology ·
Laura Ross57 said:Look, I’m not saying I’m bigoted or anything, but I’ve got my own way of doing things. For instance, I don't get the whole gay thing—it just doesn't sit right with me, and honestly, I see it more as a psychological issue...
I’m also not a fan of divorced people; I feel like they struggle to handle family dynamics properly. And don't even get me started on subcultures—Goths, hippies, trash culture, emos, BDSM types... yeah, I definitely have some issues with being accepting, but that's just who I am.

Man, that was actually pretty funny, I was laughing my head off over here! :-)))))

man, just watch this clip... then you'll finally get what I'm talking about

Honestly, this whole thing has been messing with my head for a while now. This video basically shows this repetitive, mindless loop of action that turns almost abstract because there’s just zero substance to it, yet all that violence—which we see constantly shoved down our throats on TV—is what actually feels obscene, you know? It's the kind of stuff that can genuinely make you feel sick, yet they pump out massive amounts of it and call it totally fine.

And don't even get me started on that specific scene where they show someone drinking semen under the guise of some "scientific experiment." Like, seriously, what is the actual visual difference between drinking that and just grabbing a glass of milk?

It’s such a wild topic, and I really feel like there's something fundamentally broken with these moral crusaders who are trying to force this totally twisted double standard on everyone, but man, I just can't wrap my head around how they justify it.

I really think that's the best way to handle it. Not gonna lie, I definitely struggled with some insecurities because of being mocked back then, and those feelings stuck around for a while, but once I finally mastered the art of just ignoring the noise—and learned how to shut them down with a little bit of clever, subtle wit—the teasing totally stopped.

Man, I swear it feels like it just happened yesterday.
Back in middle school, I ran into some trouble and ended up taking a year off. When I finally went back the following year, I rejoined my old grade. You know how it is—there’s always those total jerks who will sniff out any little thing about you just to make fun of it and be obnoxious... honestly, they're basically the bullies of the playground. At first, it really got under my skin and messed with my head, but eventually, it stopped bothering me so much because I just learned how to hold my own and defend myself.

I don't really have some profound, life-changing piece of advice to give you, but maybe just being there to offer support at home is enough. Honestly, I think going into the school and trying to hash things out with the teachers or whatever else is probably the absolute worst move you could make.
Yeah, look, you basically have to be a total jerk if you want to actually get ahead in this world. It’s just how it works. If you aren't willing to play dirty, you just have to accept the fact that you're always going to get stepped on by some bottom-feeder who doesn't care about anyone else. I've kind of made my peace with it—I've decided to just roll with the punches—and honestly, it makes things feel a little less heavy. It’s not like it suddenly becomes easy or anything, but hey, whatever.
