Hey everyone! So, I'm thinking about picking up an NVIDIA GeForce GTX series setup... or maybe I'll just snag something from the 5800 series online instead.
I'm currently running an Intel Core i5
on a Package Socket 775 LGA
with an ASUS P5K motherboard
and 2 GB of RAM (though I definitely plan on grabbing two more sticks soon)

Do you guys think I'd run into any issues putting a card like that into my current rig? I really don't want to accidentally drop money on a GPU that's totally overkill or just won't play nice with my setup.

Still nothing, honestly—I feel like I’ve run every single upgrade available since the moment I finished installing it (I think I've covered everything, anyway)

Ugh, I just finished installing Windows 7 and everything is a total mess right now... I'm seeing these weird black squares popping up all over my icons on the desktop. I've already tried rebooting the computer a few times, but nothing works. Does anyone have any clue what might be causing this?
